Yes, that is an army training base. Every time they go in, they run 5,000 meters around the circle. And shout the slogan: "We are BabyMetal" 😄😁😆😂

I always love when reactors react to Road Of Resistance.... there's always that "Is that little girl really calling for a wall of death" in the beginning.... And then you see the "oh shit" look when they realize that a 5'2" Asian girl called for, and got a big ass wall of death/mosh pit, is hilarious. Love the sing a long part with the fans... I think they added that part in just to give the drummer a break before his legs fall off. 🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back to the Foxhole and BabyMetal Galaxy 🦊🤘
You got it right, this gig is an Arena, is called Saitama Super Arena, and is huge with around 20K fans, but trust me this isn't half the capacity of Tokyo Dome, that was insane too.
_Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, so don't worry for the comparison. Is all about facing your own path without looking back.
The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. Tell your friend, there's no need to be afraid of this lul
This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan.
With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages.
The Kami Band here are glorious set of elite musicians whom were send to help with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (specially the guitarrists), all of them are males.
    They are:
    - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums.
    - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio's pupil and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar.
    - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP.
    - Hideki Aoyama,, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japan music scene.
Thanks for sharing this and hopefully this won't be blocked without any filters 🙏
See you next time and kitsune up! 🦊🤘

"Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) -
Pretty much a master class in audience control. : )
BABYMETAL believe that if a song sounds too much like one genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song.
You can definitely feel the speed metal in this one though.
Looks like folks have pointed out that Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce contributed guitar tracks for the studio version of this song.
This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in January of 2015, with a sold out crowd of over 20,000.
BABYMETAL's lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto first appeared at SSA in 2008 as a member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old.
She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL.
Guitarists that night were Takayoshi Ohmura and Leda Cygnus. The bassist was BOH, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama.

What is interesting about this performance, as you can see the fans did pretty much everything as planned, the song however wasn't released yet and it was just the 3rd performance ever. So it's not like the most fans knew what to do. At the end of a show: Babymetal shows them what to do and they blindly do it. 🙂

This live performance is so epic that it became the easiest way to sell BABYMETAL to someone for a first time reaction. It's like fishing in a barrel, and I love it!

    See you next time!

Great reaction. This concert was at the Saitama Super Arena in January 2015, Su-metal was only just 17, Yuimetal and Moametal were still only 15 and that was a sold out crowd of over 20,000 people completely under their control, every one of them singing along (even the ones who really shouldn't try to sing 🤫).
This song was the finale - they had been keeping up that same energy (with no dip in quality) right from the first minute and throughout the 90-ish minutes until the end.
'Road of Resistance' is about forging your own road, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way.
It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow.
You weren't wrong to say this reminded you of DragonForce - Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song and played on the recording for the studio album version. They even played it live together at an awards show in London in 2015.
Lots more BABYMETAL for you to see and hear yet ... how about 'Catch Me If You Can' live at Budokan, Black Night (make sure it is that video and not a fan made compilation video) for your next reaction?

On the other hand, on another channel, when they reacted to this, they said "she doesn't have the public in the palm of her hand... she is their general and controls them absolutely". Indeed, we are not a cult but they have an army of fans. Collectively, as you have said, we are called "The One", but individually we are "Kitsunes (fox)".

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。No need to come all the way to our country. The crowd involvement (mosh pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. It did in 2019 US tour (20 gigs) and even in your city, Orlando, on Sep.4, 2019 at Hard Rock live (Your can find videos at the Florida venue). In your video, Su shouted some words at 08:49 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then. Last year (2021), on the final day (April 15) of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts, Su shouted the same words in the end-all of the show. She did it smilingly with matured, mild and friendly voice. It meant, I believe, "come on guys!" The audience smiled her back. I was there at the venue ヽ(^o^)丿

there are reasons for the great popularity of Babymetal even in the west. This is a really high quality project. These girls are not just idols taken from somewhere. They are actually very talented, and the vocalist will give shit to many famous singers. After all, all this is sung live.

I know that in some countries (like in Korea so not in this case) they count one more year on Lunar New Year's Day, so all the people born in a particular year have the same age anytime from year 1. It's called Korean age and they are currently thinking about abandoning this method like Japan did in 1902.

    Road of Resistance
    Saitama Super Arena (SSA):-
"Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance.
    "Road of Resistance":-
    •Single by Babymetal.
    •Album: Metal Resistance.
    •Language: Japanese, English.
    •Released: February 1, 2015.
    •Genre: Kawaii metal, power metal.
    •Length: 5:19.
•Label: BMD Fox, Toy's Factory, Sony Music Entertainment.
    •Composer: Mish-Mosh, Norimetal, Kyt-metal.
•Lyricist: Kitsune of Metal God, Mk-metal, Kxbxmetal.
    •Producer: Kobametal.
    •Kyoto: (arrangement).
    Babymetal singles chronology:-
    •"Megitsune" (2013).
    •"Road of Resistance" (2015).
    •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
    Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014.
A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015.
Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom.
    Composition:-
Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album.
According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."
•Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear.
    •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti
    Personnel:-
    •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals.
•Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) - Backing vocals.
•Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) - Backing vocals.

    Saitama Super Arena:-
"Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500".
    •Owner: Saitama Arena Corp.
    •Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting).
The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting.
It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football.
It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.
    LYRICS OVERVIEW:-
The light of the smoke signal that dyes the eastern sky bright red
    東の空を 真っ赤に染める 狼煙の光が
A new way to signal the end of the darkness of loneliness

Excellent reaction! BM and the Kami Band are fantastic, particularly between 2013-2017. They hit four years of sheer brilliance where the stage presence of the girls and the Kami Band and their fantastic talents meshed to produce something amazing. In this concert Moa and Yui are 15 and Su is 17 and I'm always surprised by how they can control a crowd of 20000 fans.
"Road of Resistance" is about fighting and resisting even if you can't see the way ahead and it reminds us that there are things worth fighting for - so it's an appropriate song for the times. It was the song that sold me on BM because I ended it as an emotional wreck. They take you from one pinnacle to another and just keep on going. But for me the real hero of this song is the drummer, Hideki Aoyama, I think this song averages over 200 BPM. I wonder what's the collective number of calories expended by BM and the Kami Band in this performance.
The song has a strong "Dragonforce vibe" because Dragonforce's Li and Totman worked on it and play it on the album, but I like this live Kami Band version more. The concert has a great stage set up and the famous Yui leap over Moa during IDZ.
At the end of the crowd "wows" I love the combination of the insanely fast guitar riff and the dance sequence that ends with the girls standing strongly and outlined by the lights, that's where I really get the chills. It shows how well the Babymetal team works to bring together music, singing, dancing and stage and lighting design.
Next, maybe an emotional Su solo like "Akatsuki - Budokan Black Night" or the fun of "Headbanger Legend 1997" or, if you are adventurous, "Tales of the Destinies".

Well spotted the Dragonforce vibe. It was written by one of Dragonforce, that’s why!

That's awesome! Herman Li from DragonForce is known for his incredible guitar skills, and his collaboration on this song must have added an extra layer of excitement and energy to the performance. It's fantastic to see artists coming together to create something special. Thanks for sharing that detail! 🎸🤘
