⚡ 💕 / 🌅 I was in the audience for the world premiere of this song back in 2017. It was great, but I've got to say that the production on this newer version totally eclipses that one. There was a full pro camera crew at that Hollywood Palladium concert in 2017. One theory is that this crew were hired by Warner Bros., who were developing a combination live action/animated show with BABYMETAL around that time. Unfortunately, that project never saw the light of day, and the footage, for one reason or another, ended up with rights issues. Finally, four years later, they performed the song at Budokan and it was filmed again. Those Budokan concerts (January to April) were the only live appearances for BABYMETAL in 2021, and all ten shows had the Kamis From the East.
Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I was at Budokan that time. On February 16 when the intro started, everyone at the venue was firstly shocked and gradually started to excite understanding what was going to happen. At the end of the song, however, I got confused with what I witnessed because it was too surprising and mesmerizing. So did other audiences because that was the 2nd performance in the world and the premiere in Japan. On the following day (Feb.17), the audiences knew that the setlist would remain the same and came to the venue knowing FDTD would be played again. Once this song started many of them (including me) just stared at the stage without moving as if they were trying to burn the performance into their retinas. Su-Metal did it perfectly. "In the air !" Divine voice. And Moa and Momoko did perfect choreo like angels elegantly dancing around the goddess. Oh! I saw it twice for sure but still "was it real?" (At a later date, I confirmed it was real by seeing a Blu-ray recently released)
Great reaction - great song, great production and finally a pro-shot video we can enjoy. As the Budokan is in the round the Kami Band (of the East as it was the Budokan in Tokyo) were spaced out around the stage - sort of north, east, south and west.

Nice reaction. The "In the air" always gets me. Su just kills it. I watched the live stream of the 10 year Budokan concert. Production level was on epic. Sadly this was during covid protocols so the audience couldn't join in the fun the way you usually would see at a Babymetal concert. And I still wish I could of been there. FDTD is so different from the rest of their songs and yet even here. It still sounds like a Babymetal song. This is an amazing ability the writers have. Something about the combination of the tone of the guitars, the drumming, Full bass and Su's voice with Moa's harmonies create a unique sound that as soon as you hear it. You know your about to hear something great.
This is next level in my opinion... FDTD is already an amazing song and a total vibe, but I think that they definitely stepped it up for this rare performance of this absolute gem. Thank you for the reaction. 🦊🤘🔥❤️🌸
I don't think this song was ever intended to be played live, like BBAB. It's an album work that I don't see it work very good live. They did it once as a present to the America fans, as it was played only in a venue in Hollywood in 2017, and no one knew about the song ever again, as that performance wasn't released in any DVD. But with the 10th Babymetal anniversary they did a twitter poll about what songs people wanted for a feature video and people voted From Dusk til Dawn to see if Koba (the manager) released the Hollywood video, that he must have safe in a closet. He didn't release that version of the song (it has Yui in it, there are some fancams around) but they performed it again in the anniversary concerts. And they gated this Bluray behind a 600$ edition plus The One membership. So Koba always laughs the last xD Yes the Kami Band was back there, anything from the Budokan shows has the eastern kamis (Boh, Ohmura, Isao, Hideki Aoyama).

Only hiding the Kamis into some trenches on the outer part of the stage is quite a bad idea in my opinion... but it is what it is. Overall it's one of my favorites lives visually. Yes, this pro-shot was long time awaited. But at least, it came out in a very spectacular way. And then, there is Su-metal belting those notes and melting our faces in the process. Until next time!

From that channel there are many awesome performances, but I would like to recommend you "Tales of the Destinies" + "The One" live at Tokyo Dome 2016. Even thought you already reacted to the one, doing this 2 one after the other makes sense since they were supposed to be one big ass song that got split in 2. Tales was only performed at that time, never again. Another really good performance, is the opening for the Legend S show, "In the Name Of". It's truly a wonderful stage setting and opening!
