Jokes aside I really hope this game does poorly sales wise. This is the state a lot of Triple A games are in because we the consumer give in to the billion dollar companies. It’s why Nintendo can get away with charging $60 for a 10 year old game because the game sells millions and we, the consumer give in to it (switch version of Skyward Sword outsold the Wii version). If we want change to happen with these companies, we need to advocate change with the consumer themselves.

We've also given up many A.I quality features and environmental interactivity (physics) for pretty lighting and higher density polygonal rendering. That basically translates to "games these days have nice screenshots, and we're charging you 70 US dollars for it."
I have to disagree, I think people who are bad at their jobs should lose them, and the entertainment industry is not only full of bad workers, it's overcrowded, but in this industry you fail upwards as long you follow the right politics. Why cant they make a star wars open world game where you start off as a neutral player and depending on the decisions you make in game steer you in any direction you want , that being a Jedi, a smuggler (similar to this), or the evil route and become a sith lord. Finding all sorts of blasters and lighstabers, and force abilties all throughout the worlds. Only being able to use the lightsabers if you have taken the Jedi or Sith route. This would give the game so much more replayability and variety!!

Waiting say 6-9 months until they fix the game gives me 3 advantages. 1. I get the final product,the game works 2. If it sucks, I save money 3. It's on discount
When I first heard about a star wars open world game on the ps5, first thought was light sabre duals and character selection that led to being an important figure in the star wars universe. This game needed a partnership with Lucas arts, character selection with an aging mechanic of different races starting as a padwan. And cycle through the series starting at clone wars, seeking light sabre crystals to upgrading and building your own light sabre, until you become a grand master defeating the empire. That is something I'd be happy to pay for.
The question is, did the reviewers tell Ubisoft and they just didn't care? We know they weren't allowed to say a lot to the public. We also know Ubisoft lied to their investors. Their stock has dropped, they spent a lot of money flying reviewers to Disney, and lost a huge amount on Skull and Bones. Even the investors wanted them to delay the launch and they refused. I think they knew it wasn't ready but they moved forward out of desparation. How they thought this would help, I don't have a clue.

@RGT 85, this is meant to be like an underground/being a criminal type of game, so of course the main character wouldn't be rubbing elbows with the main Star Wars players like the Skywalkers or anything. I could see running into Han Solo or something like that (I forget where during the timeline this falls in) but still everything doesn't always have to tie in heavily with what we think of as the main characters of Star Wars. The majority of the universe doesn't interact at all. They can reference large events like Death Star or something...
The worst part is that I rely on reviews to get an idea whether or not I'm gonna like a game. I can't afford to buy a game to try it, and there is no way for me to rent it. That is why I try to stick with people I trust.

I signed up for a month of Ubisoft+ and my copy unlocked on the 26th instead of the 27th and the game no matter what settings I used for Graphics on PC looked blurry and terrible. Fast forward to yesterday I get an update and I'm already about 8-9 hours in and all of a sudden my game starts crashing randomly to desktop. No warning just hard crash. I tried resetting graphics and everything and nothing seemed to help. I verified files and still nothing. So I'm ready irritated. So I uninstall the game and go to lose it up and it's chugging really bad, get into the game and click settings and I'm only getting like 22fps Restart my PC and the fps went from, 22 to 45 so more playable but still not right since I'm playing on a 4090. So I decided to start an entire new game instead of resuming. Well low and behold starting a new game fixed my issues so far. My fps are back to normal, my graphics looks a bit better but I did loose about 9 hours of game play. So far no crashing yet. I'm glad I did not pay full price on the game. It's really not that great. The 9 hours I did play I'm finding boring, the AI is awful, graphics are mediocre, character models look terrible.
This reminds me of when Fallout 3 came out on the 360, played it 5+ hours straight… had dinner, went to work. Came home and decided to jump back on… found out the save file had corrupted, and it was a known issue they had not fixed yet 😔🤦🏻♂️

I've seen people admit that the stealth is basic and dated, the shooting isn't very good, and the AI is often broken, but they still act like it's amazing or something. Everything about the gameplay is bad-mid but they're still recommending that people spend $70 on it. I can't wait for this delusional honeymoon phase to be over so that people can talk honestly and rationally about Star Wars Outlaws. I've seen comments on X and Reddit that talk about this game like it's Red Dead Redemption 2 quality. Either they're paid Ubi bots/shills or they're out of their minds.
Honestly, did any of you really believe that Disney was going to make a game or a movie and their motivation wasn’t gonna be first and foremost to be political and push their agendas? You can’t escape the politics on the news or social media and you now you cant escape politics in movies and video games. They’re no longer concerned about entertaining us or making money. They are concerned with one thing, pushing their agendas wether you agree or not with them, so don’t expect the next Star Wars game to be better it’ll probably have a trans lead character that identifies as a squirrel and has to collect rainbows and kill conservatives aka “rebel scum.”

Why cant they make a star wars open world game where you start off as a neutral player and depending on the decisions you make in game steer you in any direction you want , that being a Jedi, a smuggler (similar to this), or the evil route and become a sith lord. Finding all sorts of blasters and lighstabers, and force abilties all throughout the worlds. Only being able to use the lightsabers if you have taken the Jedi or Sith route. This would give the game so much more replayability and variety!!

When I first heard about a star wars open world game on the ps5, first thought was light sabre duals and character selection that led to being an important figure in the star wars universe. This game needed a partnership with Lucas arts, character selection with an aging mechanic of different races starting as a padwan. And cycle through the series starting at clone wars, seeking light sabre crystals to upgrading and building your own light sabre, until you become a grand master defeating the empire. That is something I'd be happy to pay for.

The question is, did the reviewers tell Ubisoft and they just didn't care? We know they weren't allowed to say a lot to the public. We also know Ubisoft lied to their investors. Their stock has dropped, they spent a lot of money flying reviewers to Disney, and lost a huge amount on Skull and Bones. Even the investors wanted them to delay the launch and they refused. I think they knew it wasn't ready but they moved forward out of desparation. How they thought this would help, I don't have a clue.
All we wanna do is choose our own species and sex, not get stuck with a DEI hire. If Saints Row can do it 20 years ago and still have voice dialogue, it shouldn't be a problem

@RGT 85, this is meant to be like an underground/being a criminal type of game, so of course the main character wouldn't be rubbing elbows with the main Star Wars players like the Skywalkers or anything. I could see running into Han Solo or something like that (I forget where during the timeline this falls in) but still everything doesn't always have to tie in heavily with what we think of as the main characters of Star Wars. The majority of the universe doesn't interact at all. They can reference large events like Death Star or something...

The worst part is that I rely on reviews to get an idea whether or not I'm gonna like a game. I can't afford to buy a game to try it, and there is no way for me to rent it. That is why I try to stick with people I trust.

I told you all. I was worried from the start
I signed up for a month of Ubisoft+ and my copy unlocked on the 26th instead of the 27th and the game no matter what settings I used for Graphics on PC looked blurry and terrible.
Fast forward to yesterday I get an update and I'm already about 8-9 hours in and all of a sudden my game starts crashing randomly to desktop. No warning just hard crash.
I tried resetting graphics and everything and nothing seemed to help. I verified files and still nothing.
So I'm ready irritated. So I uninstall the game and go to lose it up and it's chugging really bad, get into the game and click settings and I'm only getting like 22fps
Restart my PC and the fps went from, 22 to 45 so more playable but still not right since I'm playing on a 4090.
So I decided to start an entire new game instead of resuming.
Well low and behold starting a new game fixed my issues so far. My fps are back to normal, my graphics looks a bit better but I did loose about 9 hours of game play.
So far no crashing yet. I'm glad I did not pay full price on the game. It's really not that great. The 9 hours I did play I'm finding boring, the AI is awful, graphics are mediocre, character models look terrible.
This reminds me of when Fallout 3 came out on the 360, played it 5+ hours straight… had dinner, went to work. Came home and decided to jump back on… found out the save file had corrupted, and it was a known issue they had not fixed yet 😔🤦🏻♂️
