I've seen the collesium on TV and it just does not do justice to the massive size of this complex. Your camera view makes one appreciate even more that this place was built by hand and without modern machines. Absolutely incredible.

The Colosseum provided people with building material over centuries as pieces of the Colosseum fell to the ground during earthquake. The Colosseum had a marble façade and marble seats on the inside. When they were looking around for material to build Saint Peter's Basilica in the 15th century, the Colosseum was the closest "quarry." When you visit Saint Peter's Vatican, you are also visiting part of the Colosseum. What a great tour you have given us.

Thank you for this thoroughly fantastic tour. No talking, just focusing on all areas, levels, steps, ceiling, floor, walls. It truly took my imagination there. The view on the third level just led me to think, what were they thinking as they saw that view during that era. It was amazing with no distractions.
I was in Rome one week ago and enjoyed great visits to the Palatine Hill and Colosseum, as well as other places. Your videos of both these places are absolutely stunning. Brilliant work and so nice to just SEE the places and recall all the happy memories I have of them rather than listen to someone else's idea of what I am looking at. I am certain that these two videos are the very best I have ever seen of this type of presentation. Many, many thanks.
Hey, thanks for the great compliment! Yeah, I figure the focus of the videos should be the site, not me. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and that they help remind you of your trip.
WOW... your video tours are so impressive, very nicely done and no camera shakes... I've been watching them on the huge screen and I really enjoying them! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this tour. It is impressive to see the Colosseum after so many years of being built. I cannot travel but these videos make me transport myself to the places that interest me. Greetings from Mexico.
Thank you for uploading this. It's such a treat, I can't think of a way I'd ever get this view without a virtual walk and this is not hard on the old knees. Peace and Love.
One thing that struck me about the Colosseum was that, although the actual inside of the arena was such a complete ruin that it took a huge amount of imagination to appreciate it, walking the concourse was an amazing experience (as seen in the first 5 minutes). To me, it was amazing to know I was walking the same ground thousands of Romans walked while going to and from the actual viewing stands.
While I sit in my house sick & under quarantine in northern California from possibly having caught the coronavirus in Italy a week & a half ago, I was not able to go inside the Colosseum then because the ticket lines were too long, however, I did go around it a few times outside. I just want to thank you for the hour long walking tour of the inside which I am enjoying immensely! And by the way, I haven’t developed a fever and I am going to be off quarantine March 1.
If you are going back to Rome again you walk to the roman forum ticket box up the hill from attraction, no long lines, VIP pass to to Colosseum included in ticket
Hey Robert, I hope you are doing well. I know things are still pretty crazy over there in California. Here in Italy things aren't going too well but time will tell. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour. Sorry you weren't able to go in while you are there. I would like to go back here soon and film it again while it is all empty. Thanks for watching Robert.

This magnificent structure stands as a testament of the power and glory of an empire that spanned a vast territory. A people of incredible architural genius capable of building great structures many of which are still standing and in use today. They conquered all of of modern day Europe and beyond spreading their culture and knowledge,. governance and structure to often uncivilized regions. they paved the way to the world we live in today. As we walk past or within the walls of these incredible structures of those long past civilizations we should be in awe of their greatness because we live in their shadows and we shall never see their likes again. Thank you for the great job you did bringing this video to us.

Appreciate the tour. You do a fantastic job! I’ve never really wanted to visit the Colosseum because of the horror and death of humans and animals which is its history. However, it is a stark reminder that still stands, reminding us of humanity’s vulgar atrocities. If we don’t know history, we are doomed to repeat it. Felt like I was there and now I don’t have to physically go there. Thank you for taking us along! Blessings New sub

HI Dixie, Thanks. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. I'll be uploading my 15 mile walk of Rome this evening and this weekend I am heading to Matera, Italy.
I was annoyed at first with the tourists...but they give a fantastic perspective to the absolute gigantic size of this beautiful structure. I hope to visit here one day but if I can't , I can see this on youtube. Thanks for posting.
These video's are fantastic. Also, 16:30 those steps are no joke. We went as high as they would let us go when I was there, and I had to stop for a breather.

Hi Pamela, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I do hope you get to go back sometime. :) Right now though they only let in small groups at a time. I went there a month ago. It was kind of nice to see the Colosseum empty but we weren't allowed to wander around and the tour guide kept making sure we were always in the group. Anyway, I will be posting up a new video here soon of the Colosseum, this time with narration I hope. Thanks for watching!
I can't wrap my mind around the fact that security was handled by Roman Centurions in the plated and pleated skirts with their short swords. It's just crazy when you think about how old the place is, and the things that went on. So fascinating
Hey thanks. I filmed a another Colosseum walk in 2020 when their were no tourists and the Colosseum was empty. They wouldn't let you wander around on your own though so my "tour" is not very complete. I still might post it up. Glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing this I don't think I'll ever have the pleasure to go here thanks to you at least I can see what its like inside this Mighty Colosseum.
An excellent video about one of the most horrific places in human history. The feeling one gets in the Hypogeum is chilly; just fathom the number of souls preparing to be perished there.
Amazing!! Didn’t realise how big it is inside..Both by sisters have been there (a bit jealous) sooo may people visiting on that day too! Crazy. I wonder if it’s like this all year round. Thanks for shareing 😊🙏🏻
Hey tanb8, yeah Rome barely has an "off" season. If it is a nice day then it is crowded. The Colosseum video was taken at the end of September. Glad you liked it!
Merci à vous de m'avoir fait visité le Colisée étant donné que je ne le verrai jamais, de très beaux plans, quel travail colossale, nous ne sommes vraiment rien à coté de ces gens là qui savaient travaillés, encore merci
This is great, one thing you cannot appreciate from pictures unless you have been there is the huge size, no wonder they had to fill the arena up with exotic beasts and spectacle, would have been hard to see from the top tiers.
Over the top tour! Wow, tragic playground for the ancient Romans. You made me feel as though I was really there--true virtual reality at its best. Thank you!
Excellent picturisation but cant imagine how it existed while it was functional, but the movie Gladiator gave rough picture, or otherwise its only ruins of the past. Thanks to the film maker, when i visted this place in the year 2006, due to time constraints i couldn't go in and see, now my wish got fulfilled. Thank you once again.
I have always wanted to go to Italy. Even as a small child. I am now 70 and next year Im going. I like to study and have an idea of what Im going to see and who these people were, what were their accomplishments, and know my way around. These walking tours have done that for me. Im getting my bearings about the city of Rome. Still dont know where I will stay yet.
Hi Linda, that is great to hear. I hope you enjoy your trip. If you need any help making a decision about where to stay just let me know.....but I would recommend a place near a metro stop....and the most central metro stop is at the Spanish Steps.
@@ProWalks I sure will. I enjoyed the Pompeii prowalk and trying to catch your image in the reflection of the glass. That was fun. You were the walking camera with a baseball hat. Nice to see you are real and have a smiling face.
Hard for me to comprehend how men 2000 years ago with basic tools could have collect, cut, place all this titan amount of stones and bricks in 10 years only!!!! Amazing!
They had some pretty advanced cement. Which honestly I think they used better cement than we use today. Look at modern roads. No way modern cement would stand 2,000 years.
Great camera work, new sub here, I wanna see where else you’ve been, I was lucky to be in Rome in 2017, brought back great memories, we had fine weather too🇮🇪😊

Hey Dave, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! It has been fun making these videos and giving people access to something they might not ever see. The weather here has been pretty dark and dreary for the last several weeks so I haven't gone out on any walks lately. I should be going up to Rome this weekend though to do some more walking.
ProWalks hope the weather gets better, can't wait to see more videos,it's become a ritual for me ,after coming from work I make myself some dinner and a cup of tea and the the watch the videos while I eat, sure is a great way to relax after a long day of work, can you make a video of small towns or places away from the tourist crowds, will much appreciate it.
It is hard to imagine building a construction like the Colosseum without modern machinery especially trucks to transport all the materials and equipment , a humongous project even today .

Brilliant I went there about 20 years ago I didn’t see much as my friend wouldn’t stop talking! & I promised myself I would return minus my friend... it’s such a brilliant video I have no need to go there now! .. no entrance fee ..no queuing ..no sun burn .. heaven , all in your own front room no queueing for a cup of tea or packet of crisps .. love it thank you 🙏 🏴
Hi Pamela, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I do hope you get to go back sometime.
This is the best video I have seen so far on the colosseum in Rome
Hey thanks. I filmed a another Colosseum walk in 2020 when their were no tourists and the Colosseum was empty. They wouldn't let you wander around on your own though so my "tour" is not very complete. I still might post it up. Glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks for watching.
Parece que hay también unos 50.000 turistas viendo el Colosseo al mismo tiempo, es enorme , e impresionante, thank you
Thank you for sharing this I don't think I'll ever have the pleasure to go here thanks to you at least I can see what its like inside this Mighty Colosseum.
Thank you !!!this is an actual walking tour!!! I was looking something like this!!
One of the greatest videos on UA-cam without a doubt
Amazing, thanks for filming this walk!
An excellent video about one of the most horrific places in human history. The feeling one gets in the Hypogeum is chilly; just fathom the number of souls preparing to be perished there.
Never been there myself, now I virtually have, thanks!
Thanks for giving me this tour of this magnificent building 👍 this is the only way to visit it on April 2020 😷 greetings from New Jersey US .
Thank you for the video. As s disabled person I would have never been able to walk all of that. Thank you for that tour. It was enjoyable.
Great video, thank you for posting this. I have been dreaming to go there. Someday I will. That being said, this should get a million likes.
Hey, thanks! I hope you can make it there someday too!....on a day not as crowded as this one. :) Thanks for watching!
Bellissimo video !!! Belle anche le riprese nei sotterranei !!!!!
I had no idea on how large this was until now. Great video!
Enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you. An amazing place
Hey, thanks for watching! I hope you were able to see something you haven't seen before.
Thank you for sharing this, I always wanted to go, but never will. I love the history.
Thank you so very much for the tour.
Gracias por tu video se siente muy real especialmente en 4k nunca había conocido el coliseo romano gracias a tu video ya lo conocí 👍👍👍
Hey, you are very welcome. I hope to upload an updated Colosseum walk here soon that includes narration by official tour guides.
Another gem. Thank you. Feel like Im there again.
*Absolutely Divine Isaac!* - *I often wonder if we are looking at ancient ruins, what did the ancients view as ancient?* 🙏🖤🙏
Yeah, kind of crazy to think about .
Pro walk tours is my favourite....especialy the forum romano...
Adoro seus vídeos parabéns. A ITÁLIA me fascina todos os lugares que você nos mostra é contagiante!
you have the BEST camera to make these videos! I was at the Colosseum in December but apparently I missed a lot!
Great video, I can only imagine what the Coliseum was like in it's original state.
Excellent virtual tour, thanks a lot for give us this gift!!
Thank you so much! Loved it all😊
Great walk. Beautiful place to visit and walk.
Hasn't changed much since 1962... 😀 Excellent tour. Thanks.
Great camera work, new sub here, I wanna see where else you’ve been, I was lucky to be in Rome in 2017, brought back great memories, we had fine weather too🇮🇪😊
Wonderful thank you totally brought my memories from over twenty years visiting
Thank you so much for the spoilers. As a Filipino, there is a very small chance that I will be here someday.
Excellent video, you have no idea how much I love your walk videos,I could never have imagined seeing all the 4 levels of the colosseum,I just subscribed your channel,so relaxing, your effoert are much appreciated.
It is hard to imagine building a construction like the Colosseum without modern machinery especially trucks to transport all the materials and equipment , a humongous project even today .
... Or blueprints. Who was the foreman? It's the planning and how they coordinated it all that seems just as amazing. Crazy stuff.
Actually, we know now they had all sort of amazing machines to help them.
