I'm addicted to Roman history, it is simply mind blowing! I've been to Rome few years ago and it is just stunning! I'm from Jordan and the fact that we have one of the best preserved Roman Amphitheatres in the world/Middle East just proves how majestic was the Roman Empire.

I've been three times in Rome, and I can tell that NO PLACE in Europe or in the Western World made me so amazed in my life (sorry Paris, London, Berlin, etc). It's PURE history in front of our eyes. Every street, avenue, parks, and of course, the ancient monuments of Rome have something to say...........

While living in Madrid in the 90's for about a decade, I visited other cities in Europe. Now I live in the US and for some reason, I never visited Italy till last summer. And I felt the same thing. I fell in love with Rome. Everything about it. And I apologize to Paris, Berlin and other major European cities because Rome just has her unique feeling about her. I will definitely visit her again some day.

I was there in 2019 and it was spectacular! For some strange reason our tour guide pointed out the niche where Caesar was cremated but didn't stop, so I went over for a quick look then hurried back to my group. I can't even imagine how devastated an ancient Roman would be if they could see the state of their beautiful city today. And how amazed we would be if we could see her in her heyday! All of those incredible wonders!

I've visited many, though not all, sites in Italy that you've up loaded. I have to say, that I thinki I get more out of watching your video than by the actual physical act walking through these sites. Thinking back, while going through these sites I was often preoccupied with what I wanted to do next, trying to fit things into a tight schedule etc etc .
But sitting in the comfort of my living room, I'm actually seeing more, and taking more in than I did actually walking through the actual sites.
Additionally, I really like that there is no audio commentary, just the ambient sounds you hear as you walk through the various sites. With the added notes that pop up here and there with various information on certain features.
So anyway, thanks so much for you sharing your visits to these sites, and please accept my compliments on the simple but effective production of these videos. Job well done !

I'm always open to suggestions on places to go or how to improve the videos if you have any. Thanks for watching!

You need to make a video on how to avoid the street merchants trying to hawk goods to you everywhere you go. 😂 or the thieves trying to sell you cheap knock off goods all over the place. Or best places to eat also would make another good video , thanks for the video. I very much enjoyed my trip to Rome and would love to go back. What a amazing city.

While Rome is on my itinerary, and it fascinates me, it fascinates me in the same way as China, Cambodia, Germany and Russia. Countries where unspeakable brutality took place. Ancient Rome was absolutely brutal. The debauchery, decadence and cold blooded murder that occurred during its heyday should not be forgotten. Ancient Rome's architectural achievements are wonderful, it's culture and treatment of non Romans are to be remembered and deplored.

Kroban3 ..it’s happening again today, but the msmedia isn’t telling us the whole truth.
To be fair, Rome of the Kings and the Republic is seldom mentioned. It was truly greater then, but the decadent Rome seems to appeal to the decadent minds who now ‘control’ the world- and they have technology-. We never learn from history.

I visited the Roman Forum 5 days ago and I have to say this was very satisfying to watch. Walking through it myself I didn't realise what everything was and it was very hot and crowded, so I was almost glad when I had made it through and out again. But watching your video was super relaxing and I felt like it was perfect to give me a sort of rounded up picture in my head of the forum, that I had needed after I was there myself.
On a more general note, I really love your videos and all the effort you put into them. The lack of annoying background music is totally refreshing and the overall tone relaxing to watch. And of course, the recordings themselves are aesthetically pleasing to the max. So far I only watched your Pompeii video and this one, but I feel like your channel is totally underappreciated and I really do hope you will gain more attention for your great work!

1989 drove from Brindisi, Italy to Roma~ arrived early morning, with a trunk full of Budweiser, next to the Forum...So, fortunate to have lived in Italy!...

Excellent!! Thank you..Ive never been in that part .ive been Rome 3 times..my 4th visit will be April this year (2020) ....I didnt realise just how much was there until I watched this! So I can tick it off my list of "to do's" as there's so much of Rome you just cannot do it all in a week or two..you will find you will go back to Rome..even if for 2nd or 3rd time..but believe me you still wont see it all...thats why I love Rome so much! You can never get bored.

This is wonderful beyond words. I’ve been going to Rome for over twenty years and this is such a beautiful and informative way to see it with meaning all over again from our armchair. And it’s helpful to jog my memory because it’s been a couple years since my last visit! This is the best best best vid!

I enjoyed this much more than the actual tour I took in 2016. The guide was "pushed for time" and the Forum was busy. Being Rome in summer it was also extremely hot and very crowded. I was touring some of the Mayan ruins in Mexico in Jan this year and, if you have any sort of video camera such as a go pro, you have to pay a fee before entering the site. Don't know how they stop anyone using their smartphone to take videos instead of pics however. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! Yeah the first time I went in July of 2010 and it was 100 degrees. It was a little rough. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Italy! I haven't been to any Mayan ruins yet but maybe this channel will get me there someday. Thanks for the headsup.
