I want to become a billionare just to rebuild these pieces of history. With a little bit modern addition for maintaince costs and to serve the modern customer better, of course. (I dont want money from these kinds of projects, just the joy.)
Just a spacious Roman style villa with interesting courtyard and porticos, bath house, and colonised walkway around the courtyard would suit me. Not omitting a hypocaust and underfloor heating system for the winter. Frescoes in the dining room would be nice.
@robertmcduck6712 It's a shame that people WITH good taste are poor, or at least not very rich. The REAL billionaires like Bill Gates and Elon Musk wouldn't know good taste if it bit them on the derrière.
WOW, oh my god, i can´t believe my eyes, this complex is as beautiful as it can be, it's like heaven on earth, a palace for the people that used it for exercise and relax, you fulfilled one of my dreams to view a good high quality animation of these baths. Thanks a lot.
My studies of ruins of the Baths of Caracalla in Roman Architecture as an art student, gave me no appreciation of their true opulence and magnificence. This virtual 3D experience really says it all. Should we invent a new phrase, "Absolutely Marble-ous." Thank You for up loading this truly education vision of the past.
I have visited the remains of the Baths of Caracalla and found them to be magnificent and extremely impressive. This reconstruction puts some flesh on the bones and really shows off what incredible designers, architects and builders the Romans were. Even if the images of the wall coverings here are not completely accurate, they still give an idea of what the Baths would have looked like.
Recently I walked through the ruins at sunset. Countless starlings were flying over the deserted area. It was a moment full of magic and wonder. Thank you for the amazing video, that brings history to life.
We do surely have plenty like this. I also saw a comment with someone saying that in ancient times there were buildings like these but just have a look at Detroit… like come on! lol Rome was basically the capital of the world! How can you compare a random modern city with Rome! You can’t!
The epic scale, grandeur, and detail is awe inspiring !! We couldn't build anything replicating this finesse of workmanship today, with all our technological expertise.
Thanks for this 3D reconstruction. We couldn't rent some 3D glasses when visiting the baths, but with this video we could do a more immersive visit. Thaaaanks!!
Ive never seen anything like that in my life. I didnt know a building could be so nice. This shatters the illusion that modern civ is better at everything cause we have electricity
Was there today, honestly it's bigger than it looks like. This videos takes you through it accurately. The large swimming pool that's a meter deep was the most impressive feat. to me.
Amazing job of digital reconstruction!!! Really an imposing building! I wonder how the Thermae Diocletiani would look like in one of your digital reconstructions! Kind regards!
Unbelievable! I so wish I could have seen this before going to Rome in 2002. Walking around the ruins, it was hard to envision what it looked like. Beautiful job.
This is so grand and an unbelievable architectural triumph. This building with it's fine arches, columns, statues and marble everywhere would be multiple billions to create. It is fit for kings and queens, a magnificent church, the greatest library in the world and a palatial estate for the richest. To think this was a public access building must have been a real privilege for the common man to use. Thank you for this fine work.
For the people who lived there, this was where they took their daily bath, it's just mindbending. (Of course they were very lucky to be local residents!)
So incredibly beautiful. Such Glory and Splendor. Absolutely Amazing. Stunning. Its weird . Creates a longing the way some poetry or a beautiful woman can. I have watched this several times and I never get bored of it. Its a dream. I can also almost feel the sun before we enter the building . Even the details in the lawns and trees add so much. I can really feel this tour. A thousand thanks.
Very impressive tour with such exact artistry! It's easy to escape into the time period with your beautiful representation that speaks a thousand words! How did they create such perfect and highly polished columns? Were all the statues gold leafed? Such beautiful sculptures, everything! I imagine to create such perfect columns they must have had some kind of amazing lathe or turning method.
Many many thanks for the making of these films; I went to see the Baths of Caracalla on july 2019 . No words to explain the feelings , almost take our breath away. It helps our immagination about the Ancient Rome, which comes mainly from books ,and every writer has his own way to describe things.
Wow, it was just a great digital reconstruction. Almost as if it had been rebuilt in the real world. Great video about a great bath. One might wonder what a Barbarian from the provinces or even abroad who normally lived in a hutt might have thought about these baths if he visited Rome first time in his life. "In the name of the Gods, you ruler truly is caring and generous when he creates such a building I never thought a human could build just for you, his subjects."
We probably never will. Roman buildings weren't only magnificent, but they were above all, FUNCTIONAL. They did what they were designed to do. They have never been bettered, although they have been imitated, fir example, the Renaissance villas of Andrea Palladio and others, and the public buildings in Washington DC, like the Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building etc.
Great video :D just an idea to maybe improve it even more: a small map of the whole place in one corner where one can see the route we’re taking 👀 just for better orientation
Such a magnificently luxurious structure for what I would expect is at most a few hundred potential users! Such decadence. Also the engineering required to have clean hygienic water without chemicals like chlorine and electricity. Mind boggling.
The baths could accommodate up to 1,600 people at a time, 8,000 a day. They were opened to all people including enslaved people. A lot of apartments had running and toilets, no bath. And it was way more than just baths: library, meeting place etc...Amazing and for the people (Also a way for the emperor to show his wealth and power)
It reminds me to the Szechenyi in Budapest, Hungary, I was in them 5 years ago. If those baths of Budapest ant luxurious and magnificent I can’t imagine how the Obed in Rome were, surely out of the world!! Wow!
This is awesome! I have this lingering thought of how amazing it would be to recreate Rome in the new Unreal Engine 5, to have the ability to walk around the city with its bussling crowds. This is the next best thing for sure
Thank you for sharing your magnificent 3D reconstruction of Caligula's baths. The sheer grandeur of archtecturial splendour of the exteror and interior design and decoration with the huge airy spaces progressing harmoniously from one area to another, ever more splendiferous, is absolute genius. The landscaped grounds are also elegant and practical in every detail, it must have been a magnificent experience to have bathed and relaxed in such luxurious surroundings. Xxx
I absolutely love this one. It is quickly becoming my favorite video. I know the effort is for realistic authenticity, it would be nice though if it, and others like it, were light enough on the inside to make out the beauty of the complex with out straining, or needing to use the imagination to complete clarity. Thank you.
These remarkable reconstructions of unbelievably magnificent Roman buildings leads me to wonder which of our contemporary structures would receive simular research, be reconstructed virtually, and deserve such admiration 1800 years hence?
Какое великолепие! Божественная, восхитительная красота. Ребята, у вас необыкновенный талант, я очень признательна вам за проделанную работу - на это можно любоваться снова и снова.

Strip malls.I wish these recreations could be filled with people to really make it alive but I know that would be another level of complexity and expense. Thanks for the tour.
That's Roman architecture for you, they don't fail to impress and leave you awestruck. Style and aesthetics are key to its success. The golden ratio, which is used in ancient classical architecture is akin to Feng Sui, I reckon, since it looks and feels naturally balanced. Also, the bold and monumental style reflects Roman confidence, dominance, ability, and most of all, power. Architecture is ideal propaganda, even if it's subliminal.
Amazing work on this reconstruction. Thank you for the work and effort. I love history, and as a result, reading leads one to feel a deep regret for everything we've lost through the centuries.
