It's almost every time social-critical in some way and their goal is very much to provoke people into thinking and interpreting. What adds to all of this is the mistique of the band. They NEVER explain their lyrics and let the audience interpret on their own. They also almost never give interviews and when they do, they're very short and they don't tend to awnser any questions about their songs.
Sometimes it’s just better to not know the English translation of Rammsteins lyrics. If you’re going to do rammstein, may I suggest their live performances? They are phenomenal live. Imo their live performances are way better than the official music videos.
