Level 40 is't just a vanity level now. It has the purpose of being able to submit pokestops. Edit: This feature as since been made available to level 38 and above.

I've had the game since 2016 didnt play for maybe a year, and I'm at lvl 21. The main problem is that this game hates people who live anywhere other than cities and towns. I live in a neighborhood with 2 pokestops. Another problem is the fact that some Pokemon need 100-400 candies to evolve, and some of them, you're lucky to see more than twice a week. This game isn't made for people who can't travel, and it's a boring, slow, grating experience to play
I know the struggle.. The whole "town" or, the shitty craphole to village, I live in, got total 6 pokestops; and have to walk miles, to even get to these 6..
Started playing 1 week ago, level 23 now, but now the struggle with being out of pokeballs, almost no gym available in the whole village to even earn the maximum of 50 coins/ day.... Its getting frustrating.. And then u see people that got like 230 Pokestops öitside their Window you know haha .
You are lucky. There is only one pokestops here with no gym.
I started in 2016, took a break for a year and a half, the closest pokestop/gym is 9miles because I live in the country. I’m still level 35. You literally just have to be half active on the game to get a high level.

Crazy how i stopped in 2016 at level 26 and only returned September 2019 and now im half way through to level 40... the amount of grind is unreal. But if its for a game you love, grinding = fun

Friend wise, it's more efficient to start a new set of 30 friends after achieving Ultra Friendship. You can hit ultra with 90 people working on only 30 at a time which is the equivalent of 1 set of 30 friends at best friendship. You'll also receive an additional 60 good and great friendship experience bonuses.

I’m a fairly new player and have been playing for 120 days now and made it from level 1 all the way to 37.5. I can say without a doubt that lucky eggs+raids+research is the simplest fast way to ranking up. I am fighting my way to level 40 as quick as I can so I can add a gym and pokestops right next to my house haha.

The friend bonus strategy has been huge since everything went on lockdown. I was raiding a lot back when people were able to group up for 5 star raids, but that has become pretty rare since the quarantine. About a week ago I decided to try increasing the number of friends that I have, and have gone from about 40 to 125. Since then I have been spinning stops and gifting as much as I can. It's paid off big time and if I can maintain the rate that I am getting XP I should hit level 40 in about 2 weeks.

You will! started 7/2016 hit level 40 12/2019 took me a lot of time, a purist rural player here didn’t rely on the massive xp gains that newer players achieves today, let the game come to you, it is more meaningful.

You forgot to say, that on a community day you get double exp and with a lucky egg you get 400% exp per catch. That means 1.400 - 2.000 per catch.
That’s not true. Each community day has something different. Sometimes it’s more xp, sometimes it’s more candy per catch, more candy for transfers, etc.

I started playing Pokémon Go on November 4, 2018 and hit level 40 on July 4, 2019. I grinded hard and used those friendship bonuses with lucky eggs. My husband and grown sons have been playing since 2016 and I blew past them. I am very competitive so once I started playing I couldn't wait to hit level 40 so 7 months to the day later.....I did.

I am probably either your oldest fan or at least one of your oldest fans. This is my third time coming back to this video in the past couple of years. I love Pokémon Go. I started playing in 2016. I lost my husband in 2017 and didn’t play a long time but the game helped me venture back out into the world again when I really just wanted to stay locked up inside. Anyway, your amazing!! Thanks so much for doing these videos. I finally made it to level 38 about 3 months ago and I am already about 2 thirds through level 38. 😁 The only thing I don’t understand is why I can’t seem to find the really awesome Pokémon that I see others with in the gyms. I only add new people, when i get to the first heart i eliminate them; doing this action you can reach level 40 in 4 months or less depending on how many gifts you can send, you do not need many gifts to level up quickly.
I started playing May 2nd, I just watched this video for the first time today, July 20th. I have been doing these same techniques as far as the lucky eggs and friends bonuses, and I’m level 36 with 1.6 million points, I should make it to at least 37 by 90 days. These techniques do work.

saw this and from july till now i have over 25 pokemon including double family evolutions, my research tasks, 3 best friends on 1 day left and above all i have been saving stardust. slow but worth it. plus my school has gyms for 5 star raids and ill be able to get more xp and stardust along with my daily catch abd spin. my weekly reward from research and thats it :) its alot but im level 31 so maybe by november or next year ill do everything

I'm a apart of the level 40 trainer club and I climbed to rank 40 just by friendship bonus and doing raids with my friends with using lucky eggs as well that's how I did it there isn't much difference between level 38 and 40 my mons were equally strong so I am good humble and content.
Thanks for making this video I have been playing the game since it came out on iPhone and have been stuck on level 30 for a long time and I live in a rural area and it is really hard to get the pokemon I need to evolve to get good experience.

wow this just killed all my hopes of ever making it to lvl 40. ive been playing for about 2 years on and off and im only lvl 35. In my suburb weve got 3 gyms and 5 pokestops (none of which are reachable from my home.) Had no idea 37 was only the half way point, and now lvl 40 seems so far away

@@DarianWade Don't confuse a free side game for main series level. The main series is intentionally child difficulty to lure in as many people as possible. PoGO is for more hardcore Pokemon fans who actually like a grind, or who just needs a motivation to walk more.

I was a level 30 on my old account, and after a 3 year break of not playing, I lost my accouny.
Just got to level 32 a few days ago, been playing since the last day of February of 2020.
I started before it came out, downloading the apk XD. Had some problems with accounts and changed them a ton of times. When I restarted for the third time I got to level 24 and got bored. I just restarted in July and now I'm level 30, trying to be level 40 as soon as possible to set pokestop at home cause there are not a lot in the country I live so👉🏻👈🏻 Thank you😁

I already reached level 40 2 weeks ago and heard about the level cap reaching 50 soon. Made me a bit upset cause I almost reached level 40 at the time of hearing about these leaks. I had to grind as much as I can and let me tell you it was pure agony reaching level 40. I was able to get to level 40 quickly with the double xp evolution event evolving a lot of pokemon I didn't need + using lucky eggs! Glad I reached level 40, but knowing level 50 will come soon means the current max level will be short lived so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
I’ve been lvl 40 for almost 2 years now but have 2 friends who have been trying their best to get to lvl 40 and are at lvl 39. Feels rough knowing that probably once they hit they will have to start the grind all over. In the meantime I’m still grinding exp because I don’t know if it will roll over to the new lvls 😅

Level 35 i started 2016 but stopped 2 times for long, but I made two million exp in the last 2 Weeks
im a veteran player because i played since the gane came out i just turned lvl 30 today i was not really trying to lvl up i just catch the pokemon i like now i catch everything i see because i should be higher lvl than i am

I started playing in 2016-2017 but I just started really getting into it. It's very fun but my town is small
I’ve was stuck at level 38 for 2 years. I finally hit level 39 this summer and I’ve been grinding for level 40. I watch top videos like this but I can just never get them to work as well as they make it sound. I’m not expecting to hit level 40 until next summer, if I’m lucky.

As this was 9 months ago. Now we are now in November and Pokemon Go is open to go to Pokemon Home but here the big catch. What level do you think they let people to move Pokemon first or it might mean that this might be the only level it might be at. You know? That right level 40. So now who is at level 40 can move their Pokemon to Home.
I use an incense along with the XP egg. To increase XP quickly

I watched this video 3 months ago. I was at level 34 at the time. As of October 1, 2020 11:58pm I finally reached level 40! What a amazing accomplishment. Thank you again Billy! You’re the best.
