After Endgame, I think the Mcu should've taken a break for a couple of years. Let them figure out the rights to X men, Deadpool, etc. And start a new phase or reboot the Mcu with those characters. Still could have the problems that they have now. But Taking a break could have let them have time to plan out the next big storyline after Endgame.
Yes, exactly. Endgame was such a massive high that we all needed a few years to come down from it. Launching into Phase 4 right away was kinda destined to fail tbh
I would’ve appreciated if they went back to just releasing 2 movies a year, 3 max, and built the multiverse saga like they did with the infinity saga by just connecting small plot points that contribute to the next movie or event, instead of the entire movie doing nothing but trying to setup the next entry into the franchise.
Taking a break and rebooting wasn't the move, but giving us a break of action was. Making the projects smaller and more intimate rather than big wars or abstract concepts that can threaten the whole planet. We can have new characters like Shang-Chi and Riri Williams and stuff, but have it earnestly telling the story of the world without The Avengers. There are tons of other prominent characters and stories they could have built up to. Secret Invasion could have been an amazing event, rather than a lackluster spy story. The whole big bads of the next 10 years could have been the Masters of Evil! Or Zodiac! The Avengers have a whole bunch of other villains to explore that are FAR more interesting and less convoluted than Kang! This era could have been our Dark Reign! But nope. Not them.

The MCU is ironically facing a similar problem that most comic universes face, the difficulties of trying to tell a story with no ending. It's already difficult to constantly find ways to keep plot going indefinitely, but when you have to actual actors who can age, get arrested, and quit, it becomes that much harder to keep things going.
Yeah but their issue is they were willing to dilute the product for a quick cash grab which is now costing them billions...Any well established beloved brand can double their output while the market is hot by making a diluted product and for the short term basically double their cash flow revenue but then they destroy the brand and it goes from beloved to completely ignored and now the stocks tank...its a punp and dump ideology and it wouldn't be surprising if someone at Disney werent positioned to sell shorts immediately after this oversaturation coupled with brand dilution occured across the board at Disney. With kids moves and even books it can work But not as much so with a cinematic universe
@@SantaPorter420 She-Hulk twirking? Oh right, shake that big green ass to make that big green cash. Oops, it didn't work. OK try again with lots of cats in space with The Marvels, another oops. Screw it just put Willow on and act like nothing went wrong. Disney management needs a reboot.
I didn't enjoy how they handled Scarlett witch in the Dr. Strange movie. Her whole character arc was undone. She learned how to cope and let go only to be a villain.
Not to mention that Dr. Strange was sidelined for Scarlett Witch *in his own movie.* Want to see how the Mordo plot from the DS1 post-credit scene was going to play out? Well, too bad because it already happened off-screen as explained in a quick line of dialogue in MoM. Want to see Strange and Wong as well as the Illuminati be badass in perfect moments of fanservice? Well, too bad because they had to be Worf-ed in order to make the already unstoppable Scarlett Witch look even more unstoppable.
As always, LESS is MORE. This was the case for Marvel Studios. In the past, we got excited for a small group of heroes forming the Avengers and we felt satisfied with the final result. You could see the destination of the journey, while still enjoying every single story. Now we basically have every possible character on screen and it all feels oversaturated without a proper direction besides maybe nostalgia and fan service.
That is not entirely true, I don't think casual movie fans knew that we were headed towards infinity saga. The team up crossover movies which with satisfying pay off were the key to the success of MCU. The lack of them have really hurted the mcu, the only decent one was multiverse of madness counting after nwh ofc
Completely wrong. We don't have "every possible character" we have a bunch of c class nobodies being pushed on us and nobody gives af. Ms marvel, Shang chi, blacktain america, echo, eternals, etc.
Since Endgame, particularly in Phase 4, the storytelling direction seems more scattered. In Phases 1-3, newly introduced characters had a swift return, such as Rhodey, Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Falcon, etc. Now, it appears that characters are introduced without a clear narrative purpose, contributing to a sense of quantity over meaningful integration into the universe.
I’ve thought about this and I think one of the biggest issues with today’s MCU is that the MCU stopped making every movie experience an event. They used to make going to the movies more than JUST going to the movies. It was an event and experience that was best shared with the people around you. These days, not so much.
This! The experience was so good that you'd have rows of people crying at the same time when a 14 year old Peter Parker turned to dust, or when Tony's Arch Reactor went out. Also films like Ragnarok, seeing Thor lose everything was heavy. And the Winter Soldier was just bad ass. These last entries feel dismissable. The experience is definitely not the same.
@@Logan912 It's not surprising at all. Not recognizing their tastes are bad is a prereq of the genre. They act like just because it was in print it had to be good. A true nerd would recognize Anchoring Bias.

@@MCKidProducer Comic books are low stakes compared to hundreds of millions spent on movie scripts and production for a much larger audience. If movie audiences are older on average then you need adult logic. Robin doesn't work in live action because it's irresponsible of Batman to endanger kids and that's exactly what Batman admits to in the new Crisis on Infinite Earths show. That means even modern writers admit adult logic is needed when there's an adult audience.
I'm one of those suckers that will still watch these movies cause i love the feeling of seeing something/someone I've only heard about from comics in an actual movie, it never gets old for me, even if it's no longer making money.
Ultron was wasted. He was a dumb comedian. His design was a bad translation from the comic. Ultron should've been created by Hank Pym. They should've had Hank been played by a much younger actor. The mcu shoves him to the side. Ultron should've had his own phase and been far more scarier and less comedic. Vision should've been a villian serving Ultron just like the comics

The problem with the MCU is that it got hijacked and started to bring ppl who were not comic book fans as writers and directors who were interested in pushing identify politics instead of telling stories.
One of them, I think associated with Black Panther 2, expressed the crazy belief that no one cares about the characters but about the powers. So, give Cap's shield to anybody and you'll like the new Cap. Iron Heart replaces Iron Man. It's not like we cared about Tony Stark or anything. I think she's being proven wrong.
@@weldsj8847 That sounds so much like when Combofiend was saying players were only interested in "functions" instead of characters in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.
I'm so fucking tired of this story that the reason the writing sucks is because of identity politcs. I'm tired of it in movies, in video games, and ESPECIALLY in comics. The reason is not because they want to push a message. Every good writer wants to push a message. The reason the writing is bad is because the writers SUCK. Disney wants to cut on costs and try to win the attention of minorities by replicating black panther, except the dont want to have to find or pay for someone who actually cares about what they're writing. So stop being rascist-coded and use your fucking head.
Fun Fact: For Avengers: Endgame, the idea of showing the autographs for the original Avengers actors in the end credits came from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, which was also a finale for its cast.
To really highlight where we are with the MCU this is the 5th year after endgame released and we haven’t established a new Avengers team yet. There doesn’t seem to be a build towards anything or even a plan
He didn’t really make any contribution, it’s based off a comic character but no one looks at those movies as comic book movies so it would be weird to give them credit for helping superhero movies
And you still see guys going “just you wait, just you wait until he faces the Avengers, there will be thousands of him”… Like… OK? So we will see thousands of Kang’s getting annihilated left and right until we get to the “main” one, whom we don’t even know yet and have no reason to suspect won’t go down just as easily?
Can you do history of Cyclone, Rhino, Sandman, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with Kurt Connors the Lizard. Also can you do the history of the Flash Villains like Turtle, Magenta, Cobalt Blue, Mirror Master and Top?
They had no real plan after endgame. It was all over the place, that and poor quality was the downfall. Feige needs to get more involved and get rhe MCU back on track
Its too late superhero movies are oversaturated in the same elements in story being repeated. Its over atleast mcu could say they ran shit for about a decade they were unstoppable
That's what happens when you have a change in leadership. Iger contract as ceo ended in Feb 2020 and he took a chairman gig and an advisory role in the company. Chapek and Feige weren't on the same page. Chapek saw how the MCU crushed it with Endgame and thought if they did more projects... They could make more money. Thinking fans didn't care for quality. Boy was he wrong. It's why Chapek is out and Iger is back in.
Bob Chapek didn’t have much of a run. He was a fall guy, everything that happened under his tenure originated with Iger. Iger thought he’d set him up, show everyone he was incompetent, then he’d come back and save the day, and he quintupled the company’s damages.
Hulk, Captain America, and Spiderman among others so many Marvel movies back in the day, they even had David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury Blade was like the tenth marvel movie, still one of the best
So many movies from MCU in phase 4 was unnecessary as movies, since movies usually don’t have the time to make us really care for characters if they are low-mid tier characters. Those movies would have been better as series
I have high hopes for Deadpool too, the difference between Deadpool and the other franchises is the passion for the source material. Ryan Reynolds cares about the character and will not compromise. If the star says "No, that's not something he would do." Then the whole production would stop.
@@marktheshark7588Ryan has stood his ground on most issues, and Disney has complied because he's one of the few who knows what he's doing (as per some insider gossip)
@14:40 Thank you Arris I agree. Marvel hired people who hadn't read the source material and/or didn't actually care about the characters and that showed on screen. Marvel/Disney should have had test audiences filled with comic fans.
Super hero fatigue doesn’t exist . We just hate consistently meh movies. The X-men movies were the same . People didn’t want to risk wasting their money
The main point you nailed is A) there were 18 entries in Phase 4 and B) less attention on who is making/filming/writing them. Both of those speak to Disney/Marvel just assuming we all would rock with it. I still enjoy the MCU and try to keep up but ya I think the more known things that are given the right attention and not just pumping things out will quickly right the ship per sei. X-Men 97 in two episodes is refreshing and I do have high hopes for Deadpool and think we can go from there
All the films in the MCU are general fun and entertaining movies, with some being classics in their own right and some just being one watch, and that's it. I'm just thankful as an long time comic book reader to see these exist on the big screen in general.
Endgame was the peak imo and Tony’s sacrifice felt like the tipping point, because after he died, the MCU went downhill. Hopefully marvel can get back up with something like Deadpool 3, but given the results of a lot of the new movies, I’d keep my expectations low, because like MJ said in NWH, “expect disappointment and you’d never actually be disappointed”. They have no central hero to replace Iron Man as the new face of the MCU, and they have no clear villain, as Kang’s actor got fired and avengers: the Kang dynasty is now Avengers 5, proving that they are sidelining or pivoting away from him. They never built up to him clearly at all. It took 10 years to build up to Thanos.
I was literally just having this same conversation. These kiddrens don’t know what a good comic movie is. Back in my day we had the greats; Batman, Superman, Blade, Batman Again, Spiderman, Batman Again, Spiderman 2, Iron Man, Batman The Again!
One other aspect, is that they make massive villian threats in the comics more like similar to "Villian of the week". I think it would be worth exploring villians that are either more continous in other movies, or change up some of the writing to make them a more viable threat.
DCU fell because they didn't have the patience to walk. MCU was a 10 year journey but fell after Infinity Wars. It was the golden age of superhero movies.
Comic book movies are just like Video game movies in the sense of that the blueprint is already in place..Don't change any characters or storylines. It's like getting a New Yorker to play Gambit
Your wrong about Ms Marvel the creator originally wanted her to be a mutant but with fox having the movie rights they didn't want to make more characters for them to use so they made her inhuman till they got the rights back. That's common knowledge at this point.
It was truly the direction, imagine they did any avengers world movie right after endgame showing the golden age of heroes around the globe and that’s what we are fighting to save in Secret Wars. Everything and everyone in the universe feels so seperate
The issue the MCU has is the issue that cinema has. People arent so inclined to go to the movie theatre post-covid since new movies end up on streams within 6 months of theatrical release. That being said Deadpool 3 is gonna break records and I'd imagine Fantastic 4 will too
I wonder if we revisit Wandavision now, would it have scored so high with the fans? I think it scored highly with fans because we trusted the direction of the MCU at that point. Honestly who has gone back for seconds of WV???
To me the MCU isnt dead ive been a marvel all my life and I'll support it all the way, yes its got its flaws and some projects dont do well as others but i appreciate what the hard work the writers crew and cast are putting in.
I think we just took for granted what good writing and good creative looks like. Once they just started getting "big name" directors and writers for the sake of having them or no names really soiled it. Go back to solid writers and directors that actually care about Marvel charachters and this will turn around
You nailed it. Probably the biggest fumble of all time was not literally starting the next phase with the X-Men. I think thought they get milk the avengers for another decade.
Arris, Marvel should hire you and Rob Corps from Comics Explained to fix the MCU. The amount of ideas you both have would not only get the franchise back on track, but will enliven the fanservice of comic book everything from years to come
I love Rob and his explanations, however some rabid fans don't speak for all of us. His ideas are kewl, instead of cool. The goal is to reach the most, not be Zack Snyder.
@@karlsingh9076 all movies are cash grabs. Every single one. They don't make these for us. They make them to make money, lol. It's by definition, a cash grab.
The failure of Kang really killed me; not only the character being scrapped all together, making most of Loki the series kind of pointless, but just the fact that while Kang was around he was simply no threat at all. He was killed by some ants and then there was a whole montage of him dying over and over again like they were humiliating him. Also, people can disagree with this video all they like, the fact of the matter is most of the recent MCU is shit. The numbers are there, the revenue is recorded, statistically speaking its all an utter failure. Like Star Wars. Like Ghostbusters. Like Halo. Like The Rings of Power, and even with most recent games.
What made Kang a major threat isn't just 1 Kang per universe like Thanos. Infinite variants of Kang is what made Kang a major threat. Ant-Man is a joke, but what happens when you have infinite Ant-Man's? Or Infinite Spider-Man? Or Infinite Iron Man's? That's a serious threat. You either fight Kang "For all time, always", or lose to Kang. As for the last sentence, bad/low statistics isn't a clear sign that it sucks. That's not how opinion works.
@@vincentadultman6226 I couldn't believe the MCU made it so Fury, the most paranoid man in comic book history, is now cool with aliens running shield while he vacations on their ship in spiderman 😂😂😂💀 Don't even get me started on what they did to Taskmaster
The reason why the mcu was so successful up until endgame is because they had the entire storyline planned all the way back in iron man one. They knew exactly how the era would end. Marvel is a wreck now because there’s no end vision. It’s rushed projects trying to make money and stay on their feet. Hoping after secret wars they take a break and come back with something big
@11:03-11:07 Strangely enough, Doug Walker from Channel Awesome also mentioned on his Disneycember review of Ms. Marvel that it was like a Disney Channel series but with a bigger budget.
There was a time when any movie or tv show based on a comicbook hero was guided by the writer of said hero. Now, some of these shows were written or produced by people who never read a comic or never even heard of the character. If you don’t care about the character or do the research for quality content then the end result will fail. That’s what we have now. Marvel’s Agents of Shield was absolutely brilliant. It started off slow then became a great show ending on a high note. I loved it.
I would’ve loved to have seen the MCU Introduce new marvel characters like The Sentty, Wonder man,Tigera, Power pack, Jack of heart, The exiles and Squadron supreme!
To me the big problem (aside from the overwelming amount of mediocre content) was the replacing of characters with just another version of themselves. We lost the main cast and got a new Black Widow, a new Hawkeye, new Cap America and briefly introduced Riri Williams and a new Black Panther (which does not count because of circumstance). They should have paused and waited until they got X men and F4 to give it some variety. Instead they tried to cover for their absence immediatly as if audiences could not live a single Phase without seeing them.
It probably will considering that it’s trailer has views that joker 2 as well as it being the widely Deadpool’s second sequel that also features Wolverine and possibly the other characters in the fox universe
*green milk SW is a dumpster fire, and I'm 100% sure KK will run it into the ground (at least deeper than it is now) before admitting she should've hired fans of the material instead of whoever she did hire
Black Panther can still lead. Why not just get the actor that lost out to Chadwick? Keep T'Challa's story going. That was my BIGGEST issue with BP2. It lacked T'Challa.
This is so weird, I literally just finished watching the Rise and Fall of the DCEU for the first time two hours ago which came out 3 months ago. Anyway, hoping that Gunn's new DCU is amazing and hoping that Marvel gets their shit together, they are really hyping up Deadpool 3. Spider-Man 4 was just announced as well.
@@papingosstudios161 I honestly prefer the dark world more. I sometimes feel like I'm the only person that likes it lol. I think that was peak Thor. Like super comic accurate Thor. Not this joke that he's become in the MCU
Here’s my take: Disney should give the Marvel movie rights back to Paramount, and let them handle the MCU from here. We got two movies a year, but the stories and overall quality were much better than what we’ve gotten the past few years (with a few exceptions of course)
MCU is failing because the studio is giving the directors way too much leeway. The DCEU failed because the studios interfered too much. What an interesting turn of events.
Marvel's not even wrong to do that, where they're going wrong is hiring folks who know nothing about the material they're adapting It's okay to have a vision, but no one's watching to see some pretentious bum subvert expectations (like Rian Johnson did in SW), theyre coming to see the story adapted as faithfully as possible

How did MCU went from Homecoming and GOTG2 to Inhumans in 2017?
Madame Web received negative reviews from critics,[93][94] who panned it as an "embarrassing mess"[95][96][97] and the "worst comic book movie" yet.[98] On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 13% of 211 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 3.4/10. The website's consensus reads: "Madame Web's earnest approach to the title character's origin story has a certain appeal, but its predictable plot and uneven execution make for a forgettable superhero adventure."[99]
The review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 62% with an average score of 5.9/10, based on 350 reviews. The website's critical consensus reads, "Funny, refreshingly brief, and elevated by the chemistry of its three leads, The Marvels is easy to enjoy in the moment despite its cluttered story and jumbled tonal shifts."[135]
Closest to Daredevil film- Ant-Man and The Wasp :Quantumania- The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 46% with an average rating of 5.5/10, based on 410 reviews. The site's critics consensus reads: "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania mostly lacks the spark of fun that elevated earlier adventures, but Jonathan Majors' Kang is a thrilling villain poised to alter the course of the MCU."
Closest to Inhumans- Secret Invasion- The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 53%, with an average score of 6.1/10, based on 197 reviews. The site's critic's consensus states: "A well-deserved showcase for Samuel L. Jackson, Secret Invasion steadies itself after a somewhat slow start by taking the MCU in a darker, more mature direction."
The Marvel Razzies-1-Morbius-On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 15% based on 283 reviews, with an average rating of 3.8/10. The website's critics consensus reads, "Cursed with uninspired effects, rote performances, and a borderline nonsensical story, this dreary mess is a vein [sic] attempt to make Morbius happen."[112] It ranks as the 16th worst-reviewed superhero movie on the site.
2-Daredevil film-On review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes 43% of critics gave the film positive feedback, based on 228 reviews, with an average rating of 5.2/10. The critical consensus reads, "While Ben Affleck fits the role and the story is sporadically interesting, Daredevil is ultimately a dull, brooding origin story that fails to bring anything new to the genre."
3-Howard The Duck-Howard the Duck received mainly negative reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 13%, based on 83 reviews, with an average rating of 3.8/10, making it the lowest-rated Lucasfilm production. Worst of Marvel-Fant4stic-On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 9% of 263 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 3.6/10. The website's consensus reads: "Dull and downbeat, this Fantastic Four proves a woefully misguided attempt to translate a classic comic series without the humor, joy, or colorful thrills that made it great."[1] As of 2023, it the lowest-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes out of all theatrical films based on Marvel Comics properties.
The WORST of MCU-Inhumans-The review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes reported an 11% approval rating, with an average rating of 3.70/10 based on 47 reviews. The website's consensus states, "Marvel's Inhumans sets a new low standard for the MCU with an unimaginative narrative, dull design work, weak characters, and disengaging soapy melodrama."Reviewing the season, Matt Liparota of Destructoid concluded, "Inhumans is a work with almost nothing of value for anyone. It's not even an interesting train wreck. It's just a boring, lifeless slog easily shooting to the top of the list of the worst things the MCU has produced in its near-decade of existence."
The DC Razzies- Catwoman-On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 8% based on 197 reviews, with an average rating of 3.2/10. The site's critical consensus reads: "Halle Berry is the lone bright spot, but even she can't save this laughable action thriller".
BvS-On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes the film has an approval rating of 29% based on 439 reviews and an average rating of 5/10. The website's critical consensus reads: "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice smothers a potentially powerful story - and some of America's most iconic superheroes - in a grim whirlwind of effects-driven action."
@@SirsasthNigam. Bro who the heck are you talking to yourself?
Lulz the issue isn't the actors, it's Disney ignoring the stories that made the characters so iconic, in favour of she Hulk twerking

That's because they only partially followed a couple of storylines but instead of no more mutants we got scarlet witch with "problems"
She became a villain in the comics
@@ahappyklingon3631
She became a villain and a hero multiple times over the decades
Kinda proved Tony Stark right in Civil War.
There is no nostalgia or fan service in the MCU past phase 1, they showed just how much they thought of the fans with she Hulk and secret invasion
I see multiple directions, and the MCU still feels small to me, lol. I actually enjoy this new trilogy phase.
It feels like a production line rather than art.
Opposite actually. It became tiresome. And too expensive. Endgame was the last straw.
Thank you for actually not being biased and acknowledging its flaws, unlike some other content creator that just simps for everything Marvel.

I almost lost Interest After the Misleading Failure of She Hulk. But Wakanda Forever, Quantamania & GOTG3 gave me some hopes again.
Ooh, Variant is getting into the rise and fall genre
@@walterlucero5757dude, yes! Thought the same thing
Comics have always pushed identity politics. X-men as a whole is about identity lmao.
Fun Fact: For Avengers: Endgame, the idea of showing the autographs for the original Avengers actors in the end credits came from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, which was also a finale for its cast.
Fun fact, those signature were meant to be the characters signing the final ships log
To really highlight where we are with the MCU this is the 5th year after endgame released and we haven’t established a new Avengers team yet. There doesn’t seem to be a build towards anything or even a plan
Love how you overlooked the contribution Blade made in the genre. 😳
He didn’t really make any contribution, it’s based off a comic character but no one looks at those movies as comic book movies so it would be weird to give them credit for helping superhero movies
The wesley snipes ones with Ryan Reynolds and that wrestler? Lol those were vampire movies.
Kang was a bad choice. We literally watched him get beaten in first appearances against solo heroes. He just can't be taken seriously as a big bad
Not only that, the Actor liked to beat up women.
I totally agree with everything that you stated marvel has lost its way, because of bad choices from Disney😢
They had no real plan after endgame. It was all over the place, that and poor quality was the downfall. Feige needs to get more involved and get rhe MCU back on track

Chadwick's passing, the pandemic (both out of Marvel's hands) and Bob Chapek's run is what hurt them.

As much as I unashamedly enjoyed the post-Endgame content, and I don't care what anyone says otherwise, I sadly agree.
Bob Chapek didn’t have much of a run. He was a fall guy, everything that happened under his tenure originated with Iger. Iger thought he’d set him up, show everyone he was incompetent, then he’d come back and save the day, and he quintupled the company’s damages.

I have high hopes for Deadpool too, the difference between Deadpool and the other franchises is the passion for the source material. Ryan Reynolds cares about the character and will not compromise. If the star says "No, that's not something he would do." Then the whole production would stop.

Super hero fatigue doesn’t exist . We just hate consistently meh movies. The X-men movies were the same . People didn’t want to risk wasting their money
I does hate that notion. Some people does spread.
“Oh that’s why.”
Nice work 🍿🔥🔥
I was literally just having this same conversation. These kiddrens don’t know what a good comic movie is. Back in my day we had the greats; Batman, Superman, Blade, Batman Again, Spiderman, Batman Again, Spiderman 2, Iron Man, Batman The Again!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier beats most of those movies you just talked about. Not all but most.

One other aspect, is that they make massive villian threats in the comics more like similar to "Villian of the week". I think it would be worth exploring villians that are either more continous in other movies, or change up some of the writing to make them a more viable threat.

I believe that Deadpool and Wolverine will be amazing and that it might put the MCU back on top.
It probably will considering that it’s trailer has views that joker 2 as well as it being the widely Deadpool’s second sequel that also features Wolverine and possibly the other characters in the fox universe
Phases 1-3 Raise,everything else fall.......
They need a reboot they will never replace captain America and iron man
"Wouldn't you wanna get people who know & love the source material?"
Star Wars says "shut up & hold my blue milk..."
*green milk
SW is a dumpster fire, and I'm 100% sure KK will run it into the ground (at least deeper than it is now) before admitting she should've hired fans of the material instead of whoever she did hire
This sums things up well... man you got me scared over the new Deadpool movie. I hope things get back on track soon!
Black Panther can still lead. Why not just get the actor that lost out to Chadwick? Keep T'Challa's story going. That was my BIGGEST issue with BP2. It lacked T'Challa.
TChalla vs Namor is something we wanted to see not Namor vs Tcballa sister
I still like MCU and I’m looking forward to the next MCU movies
This is so weird, I literally just finished watching the Rise and Fall of the DCEU for the first time two hours ago which came out 3 months ago.
Anyway, hoping that Gunn's new DCU is amazing and hoping that Marvel gets their shit together, they are really hyping up Deadpool 3. Spider-Man 4 was just announced as well.
And yeah guardians 3 was phenomenal!
I was waiting for the thor love and thunder slander 😂😂😂
such a stupid movie
It was alright atleast didn't fall asleep like dark world
@@papingosstudios161 I honestly prefer the dark world more. I sometimes feel like I'm the only person that likes it lol. I think that was peak Thor. Like super comic accurate Thor. Not this joke that he's become in the MCU
That movie slandered itself🤣
Here’s my take: Disney should give the Marvel movie rights back to Paramount, and let them handle the MCU from here. We got two movies a year, but the stories and overall quality were much better than what we’ve gotten the past few years (with a few exceptions of course)
Well no!
MCU is failing because the studio is giving the directors way too much leeway. The DCEU failed because the studios interfered too much. What an interesting turn of events.
Marvel's not even wrong to do that, where they're going wrong is hiring folks who know nothing about the material they're adapting
It's okay to have a vision, but no one's watching to see some pretentious bum subvert expectations (like Rian Johnson did in SW), theyre coming to see the story adapted as faithfully as possible
@@vincentadultman6226 that’s a great point. I didn’t think of that. It should be mandatory to read the source material before working on the project.
@@TheShop90sKids yeah, otherwise people like Taika will forget that Thor is the king of the 8 realms, yet he spends all his time on earth, and then goes on to make Valkyrie King when he's the only guy with access to the Bifrost
This video should have been called the rise and fall and rise again of the MCU. It will come back just wait until July
The problem is how can you OutDO THANOS!!!??? Sure you can do Doom, Galactus, etc but they start to probably ton confuse the public
Apocalypse the MCU version not the shitty fox version.
Avengers wow what a amazing movie
MoonKnight wasn't just "serviceable" it was GREAT. Probably the best MCU show on par with Loki and Wandavision.
I think introducing the X-Men and Fantastic Four would’ve been better.
The Hawkeye series wasn't even about hawkeye
MCU was a dream and it felt like a dream for the first 10 ish years but then the fire nation came along…
You forgot to mention the most suicidal thing they did to Kang. Which was having Antman beat him!!!
They screwed up Kang badly in the first place, almost nothing to do with the comics
The senior judge in Loki Ravanna, in the comics she was a space princess, that's just one bad change
Throw Blade in there PLEASE. Best beginning scene ever
Hulk movie fighting wolverine would have been better
Would have, but they couldn't do it justice
Hulk tried to eat Logan's legs
@ComicBookGuy420 oh they could have done it justice, if they get their heads out of their butts
A well done, well thought out video. Thank you. You made some great observations. While giving us a good breakdown of the time line of the MCU.
The fact you didn't mention Wesley Snipe's Blade being the pioneer for the MCU is extremely disrespectful .
Amen brotha
Blade trinity is my top MCU movie I watch to kick off my list.
Blade is not part of the mcu it started with iron man
@@johnlawful2272 yes but he is apart of mcu and Mahershala Ali should be playing the role in what ever movie they plan to make
@johnlawful2272 If it wasn't for Wesley Snipe's 1998 Blade there would not be no MCU
@@TheHighValueNurseCJKyles most viewers didn't even know he was marvel they didn't even read comics they just saw him as a vampire hunter sure it kept marvel doors open vampires was on the rage back then now imagine if westly did what he really wanted black panther it probably wouldn't have resonated with the majority audiences outside of black people
