There was another opera song in the series that was played constantly, but this one I think is better and harder to find. ( I didn't find it on the original soundtrack.)
Agreed! This was an unexpected and strangely lovely bit of scoring. I also miss Andromeda. Was always a good reason to stay up until the early hours (when it was shown in the UK). Superb!
The piece is called Arkology. It ends season 4 which everyone thought was it as the Chicago Tribune was going under. Catherine Thomas was the actress who lip synced this in the council chamber. The singer was Margie Fester who the composer knew from his church choir. She is singing syllables not words. This is the only recording of her as far as I know. Got this info a few years ago when he posted Arkology here and replied to comments for a couple of years. Ps Kevin Sorbo put up his own money for season 5.
