Thanks, I use it all the time when I need "gelled" looking colors but only have 1 strobe. If I had 2 more A2s I could have done it with stripboxes with blue gels but this is way more practical and frankly quicker. -P
Man, this video gave some serious G.A.S., I just broke my A10 and dreading sending it in for repair, I would love 2 of these A2s with the new remote although I'm a big fan of the tiny Connect, super simple to use, I wish Profoto would make one with a tiny lcd showing power setting
Of course I knew it all until you dropped that 2500 ISO trick. Wow! I've spent my entire shooting career always trying to get perfect White Balance or warming it up just a little. But you took this subject to a whole other level. This took me back to Dean Collins Chromazones "True Black" - 4 1/3 stops below 18% gray, and "True White" 2 1/3 stops above 18% gray Light Ratios and Backdrop color control. I have to say that, that was very very intelligent and really awesome. So Thank You!
Definitely saved this video to reference to. I have a Flashpoint Evolv200 Pro and I am very new to portrait photography. I seen there is an adapter to use Profoto modifiers on my Evolv200(AD 200) Pro.
Thanks, these are fun to make and it's always enjoyable making different looking images out on location. I have to be honest, I've never used barn doors outside before but that worked way easier than I thought! You learn something every day. -P
@@FStoppers thank you so much, I couldn’t tell if it was the 6 or the 7. I’m in the process to updating from the D810 and I’m researching the 6,7 and Z9
I need to do a test between the Profoto A2 and a normal $100 speedlight. I'd bet the speedlight is only 1 stop less powerful and since I only ever shot at 7.5 or 8 out of 10, that means a speedlight could probably do this at 1/2 power if you can mount similar light modifiers to it. Most of this style shooting is exactly what I did for my wedding clients and back then I only had small speedlights. This is all doable regardless of the gear you own. -P
Great video @Fs pro photo does have some nice product but I feel it's way overpriced I feel that company likes to nickel and dime people For whatever they can charge You and that's not right........
Why do you say nickel and dime? That sounds like they charge you to unlock features which they don't as far as I know. I'm a big fan of their entire ecosystem but it's also easy to use their speedrings and attach any other modifier you want to it. It's funny, I'm playing around with the Nikon Z7ii camera in this video and somewhere I found Nikon is charging you an upgrade fee to shoot 4k Raw video files. Still wouldn't call that nickel and diming but it does feel a like wrong after you buy a $3500 camera. -P
So, the company that screamed foul when Godox make their V1, now has pretty much made a copy of the AD300, and their pay-as-you-go influencers call the product innovative? ;)
@@FStoppers No, you didn't actually use the word "innovative", I am sorry for collapsing your 1 minute 23 second intro about how nice your sponsor's product was into one short word for efficiency. You repeated stuff like "awesome". ;)

Patrick surprises Anna with something tiny... but suprisingly effective 🤣
Everything we used before was so big! -P

Great tips and well-done video, Patrick. Keep 'em coming!
Good tip about setting the K for modifying the light

The iso trick? I think you mean the white balance trick. 3:08

Que belleza de modelo
I went straight to her IG! She is beeeaaauuutifuuuul as hell!
Can you tell me which cto gel is it exactly? It's like sun and looks very nice!
I can’t remember which one I used. I have both the 1/2 and full CTO so it was one of them. -P
Any problems with it overheating? I've seen a few reviews that say shooting at 8-9 for even a couple minutes makes it almost unusable.
Not that I noticed. Granted I only ever set it to 7.5 or 8 while outside. I don’t shoot big bursts; only 10-20 images a minute. -P
What camera are you using? It’s not in the links below
Nikon Z7ii. I’ll added it to the links here shortly. -P

I understand Profoto sponsored the video but the A2 is a copy of the Godox AD100 which is 1/3rd of the price.
Do it with a cheap flash gun & gear Patrick? Not Very Many togs have the budget for that fancy gear 😏

Did it almost fall on her from the weight of the magnetic accessories?
What? -P
I thought at the beginning (first shot) it looked like it almost fell on her yah
Lol, I assumed you were shooting this in PR all the way until the end and then she had a southern accent and I had no idea what was going on....
Ha, no I’m back in SC for the baby’s birth. -P

Hello Anna Logan

I don't know that I said it was innovative. It's a new form factor for them but small lights like this have been on the market prior. -P
