Psychedelics 🍄 killed my drug and alcohol dependencies - one trip two years ago to purge my depression and chronic anxiety from my system was the best decision I ever made. I've done mushrooms a few times since, but after my last high dose trip I realized that the medicine has taught me enough for now. I might return to psychedelics later in my life if I ever find a source.
Psychedelics saved my fuxking life. 14 years in the army with 4 years in Afghanistan. Countless therapy avenues and medications to wind up eating a mushroom that conquered it all
Psilocybin has saved my life. Since I had a major depression about 20 years ago, my mood has been prone to depression relapses. Psilocybin has been an important tool for me to combat those relapses. I honestly think the world would be a better place if most people used psilocybin at least once in their lives.
Replaced my morning coffee with some psilocybin tea best move I ever made thanks Doc. My long morning drive to work just flies bye. I also micro dose lsd for the drive home learned that little nugget from you Tim thanks guys your the best.
Ha! Shrooms as a nuclear? I still recall my first experiance of psychedelics ever... it was 9th class, at age 15, friends from school invited me "to smoke some weed"... I did not know what was weed, at that point in my life I'v never tried anything more than alcohol and nicotine... but there was a huge suprise for me after taking a large hit from the pipe they gave me, I fell out of space-time reality, travelled in multiple dimensions for a time that felt like several hours... and when I came back, I discovered that it was not a "weed", but actually friends gave me Salvia Dividorum to smoke as a joke... friends later told me that I was just standing there with the pipe in my hand for few minutes, yet for me it felt like a several hour multiple dimensional space-time travel.
Thank you for this. I just spent months researching Ketamine, KAP, filled out the paperwork, did the $150 intro, and realized that my long standing bladder interstitial cystitis was too much of a danger for Ketamine. Now I'm back to the drawing board, and still considering Psilocybin. But fearful because of out of body experience similar to how I've had sleep paralysis = terrifying = cannot move or feel like I cannot breath. I really need help to stop the negative shame & CPTSD loop that's out of control in my fear center. I am more than ready to do the work in counseling, but need the spiral to stop. Life is fairly unbearable.
I took shrooms for the first time over the weekend. My intentions were to get more insight on a missing loved one…I didn’t. But I learned a hell of a lot about myself. 6 days later and I still feel the effects of shrooms I thought I was trippen, but the first 10 min of this video confirmed I’m not! Anxiety? Weird racing thoughts? GONE. I will definitely be using shrooms more.
Psychedelics, yoga, Jesus, Jordan Peterson, Buddha, Krishna,God, archetypes, football, supplements, crystals, my guru, chanting, electroshock treatment and cliches all saved my life.
"pshyco-emotional power surgery"-love it, that´s the way it is, "a spiritual surgery" (mind-body connection) i refer to when talking with people to make them understand, indeed, it´s a "nuclear" power and no joke. Respect to the PLants and Nature.
I dont lklike the idea of pahrms removing the trip form these to sell. The trip is literally the most importnant part. It allows the conciousness to access automatic functions in memory and remove a starting neuron for say a bad behaviro or a tramua event. can collapse it
I have yet to find a Huberman video that wasn't a self indulgent story. Don't get me wrong, I like listening to people stories, but I am trying to learn on this channel and I have yet to do so. What are you actually teaching us?
Sometimes highly intellectual minds can be stimulated to the point where, experimentation is exciting to them, but it ends up being harmful to others. I have never seen a good experience of hard-core recreational drugs, whether they are purified or not, being used on individuals that are genetically deficient - in other words, addicts. Even highly intellectual minds are not perfect (OCD, autism spectrum, mania etc.) So, it is better to focus on dietary nutrition and how genes allow the person to absorb their nutrients 🧠⚡️rather than creating more problems with brain inflammation through psychedelics 😵 🥴 😵💫 Psychedelics are for the researches “high”, not the patients well being.
Mushrooms are a food. There are medicinal properties to food. Food can also have poisons like apples. A person does not want to eat apple seeds all day long and get cyanide poisoning over time. So, there are obvious explanations to food that has become available through experimentation and some science. However, there’s a flipside to science that likes to experiment with danger to see if somehow they can flip the coin and create a food. That’s where the problem lies. These compounds that are extracted from mushrooms are usually put into supplements or health foods. That knowledge has been known for centuries by various cultures, but recently commercialized. The approach to these psychedelics is usually about business or trying to patent a natural compound for commercial purposes. Unfortunately, the mushroom adaptogen business is getting out of hand when it became a “trend”. They have altered the way the mushrooms are grown. Now they’re trying to use oat and grain as a medium and changing the mycelium value, etc. So when people take mushroom supplements, the value there is compromised, affecting epi-genetics negatively because of all the glyphosate issues in oat and grain along with other issues, etc. The mushroom is not naturally grown that way. I don’t buy just any mushroom adaptogen supplement. Just because an idea comes from a prestigious institution, I don’t right away think it’s the best way. I don’t always follow “trends”
I completely understand your perspective, but I heavily disagree with your latter points here. Certain Psychedelics (if treated with care & taken correctly by a fully developed adult) are not what I would consider a “hard-core recreational drug” experience. It was never very recreational for me. Speaking from my own experience, i found Psylocibin at my lowest point as far as mental health. Once I pulled the trigger, I had a few high dose experiences, but 95% of my experience has been a consistent daily microdose. Because of that protocol i made an immense amount of progress making great habits in my diet/nutrition, discipline, self-love, and so many more of these foundational pillars. I even found Dr Huberman during this time because i began to care more about my wellbeing. My point is.. if I let the negative discussion around psychedelics prevent me from experimenting with them - i would be much less of the good man I see myself as today, and that would be a shame. All of these benefits have stuck with me years later, as well. So yes, I agree, it’s not for everyone. You must research & be safe to enjoy the benefits. But I’d hate for this comment or any like it to stop someone like me from changing their life for the better. IMO, It’s not the right way to approach the issue. I say this with nothing but respect because i understand where you’re coming from & only hope people will make their own smart and safe decisions rather than letting anyone’s “advice” dissuade them.
@@semilovato your Microbiome is a part of the vagus nerve and it’s interactions with the brain. How do you know if any attempts to take care of yourself nutritionally was the real reason that you continue to make daily improvements? How do you know that it’s not the psychedelics that are keeping you from real success? You don’t, because it’s actually like taking a natural vitamin and a synthetic vitamin simultaneously. The body is going to process what it was designed to process, which is the natural vitamin and not the synthetic. Synthetic nutrients are very temporary for certain issues however not all are created equal. They will actually be working against each other and making it more difficult for the body to heal or accept a nutrient. The body is not just a machine that accepts nutrients and puts them in their proper cubbyhole. Everything works together synergistically. Substances like painkillers and serotonin blockers, etc. are just that. They are blockers. They’re not necessarily created to work synergistically with the entire body system. That’s why there are many side effects attributed to these prescription drugs. Psychedelics are no different other than being more lethal in their side effects. People have free will and choices to make. You can choose to take psychedelics and pay for them, or try to get an insurance to pay for them or you can choose another route. It’s that simple. You may want to read the book, “Dirty Genes” by Dr. Ben Lynch, “The Hard Sell” by Evan Hughes and Dr. Bergs, UA-cam videos since his own personal medical doctor (MD) specializes in Metabolomics. why do magic mushrooms help with my anxiety. about 20 min ago i felt overwhelmed and anxiety to a high degree, now after taking a small amount i can breath again. why? like shit why do they work? and why dont anti depressants work on me why do i still feel suicidal when doing meds and on mushrooms i dont. why do we have a system setup to give us drugs that dont work and we have to try this one and that one. why is this system setup for us to fail? also why do i get anxiety more before trip and then the peace. and why do u get this almost warm feeling in your brain? its weird for me for all doctors and ppl talking about mushrooms in a very controlled manner and yet its not a thing one can control. it seem so strange to me these very sterile and controlled environment, for psychotherapist places and its more idk chaotic. flowing or smooth.

I'm off SSRIs for one year now after psilocybin. It's not a cure but a remarkable substance all the same.
Good on you...started Ketamine last week and will be heading in same direction as you...rough road but dont they all lead to beautiful places!

Perhaps you should stop watching his guest interviews and instead check out his solo videos.
hmm..
There’s much room in mushrooms to handle all their spores so the seeds of their true missions may pound on many doors
