    So it does a nice job of eating through Styrofoam, how about a demonstration of it eating through rust.

    Nothing like a honest demo from the salesman....Now lets see it actually tested on rusted bolts, not a Styrofoam cup that proves nothing.

      We used it on air bags and it seemed to work really well. That was our first time to use it over penetrol 90 but it did a good job

    I've been using this for a little over a year now. We call it "The Sauce" and it's not a gimmick. I've used it on stuff that would normally call for the red wrench.

    Pretty impressive. Now have him spray it on his hands and stand still for 10min before washing. Most of us don’t always have access to a sink right away. Also what happens if you get a mist in the eye by wind? I’d rather have that happen with WD 40 then that stuff. Thanks for sharing.

    • @KoonTrucking
      @KoonTrucking  6 років тому +3

      It is safe. I actually seen him spray it on his hands and it didn’t bother them. I wished I would have had my camera out the first time he did the demo. He coated his hands with it.

    I didn’t hear him mention it but spraying it on a bolt for 20 seconds will drop it to below freezing temperatures which is helpful for a number of reasons

  • @bassiclymike

    We use this at my shop and it works pretty decent. Doesn't add much lubrication like PBlaster though, so once I break something lose I spray that on it.
    And most bolts aren't styrofoam cups, so the demo shows nothing about cutting through rust and frozen fasteners. Nice that it cuts grease, but the issue is that the fasteners are frozen because there's no grease/oil/lubrication of any kind on them. So IMO it doesn't really show much.
    As stated though, I do use the product and do like it. Just not the greatest, most relevant demo.

    The MSDS shows it contains over 20% of 1,2-dichloroethylene which is a chlorinated solvent much heavier than water and will dissolve styrofoam, as will any chlorinated solvent. I quit using chlorinated brake cleaner and now use the non chlorinated. Be sure to use this new product in a well ventilated area. I use Kano Kroil and have found it to be outstanding for use on rusted stuck bolts and cleaning guns. YMMV

    I’m a KimBall midwest Rep in Indiana, great demo, the cup represents the grease and the grim, I had a customer say that’s nice with the cup, but let’s try it on a rusty truck bolt. So we did he used pb blaster, and torq cb. If you want the job done faster torq is the better choice. Unless you have the time to wait for pb blaster to work. Your choice great video, great rep! Only company out there with 85% American made products

    Thing I don't like about that spray, and I used it a lot. It doesn't leave a coating on the parts. It drys pretty quickly. I also don't normally have to take bolts off under water.

    • @smithwesson7149
      @smithwesson7149 6 років тому +3

      The Trans-1,2-dichloroethylene is probably what's causing it to evaporate more than other penetrating oils which don't contain a chlorinated solvent. It also contains a corrosive chemical called dodecylbene sulfonic acid. Definitely not good to get in your eyes. As you may know, the styrofoam cup trick is just a marketing gimmick that I have seen many times when I worked in the chemical distribution business.

      I haven’t seen it hurt anything other than that styrofoam cup he used. It claims styrofoam is nothing more than compressed grease ? I know it soaks in good and it actually cleans the hunk off fasteners. So far I like it.

    Really? Don't you see how this demonstration proves nothing? Maybe the product works, but your snake-oil demonstration shows nothing. Your demonstration would only make sense if bolts are frozen in place by: (a) water OR (b) the other penetrating oils. Why don't you show it cutting through/dissolving/penetrating the grease and crud that you claim is the problem? Also would have to show how the other products do against that. THEN, as others have stated, show it working on actual rusted/stuck fasteners -- compared to the others.

    bolts aren't usually stuck due to 'compressed grease' .....they are usually stuck due to absence of grease, and too much rust and corrosion.....i got nothing from this styrofoam cup demonstration except that it makes your product look really dangerous to be around.....and i've never seen a styrofoam cup prevent any bolt from coming out
    you'd sell a lot more product if you had a proper real life demonstration on badly seized and corroded bolts
    i came to this video today because i need a good penetrating oil right away, something other than wd-40 but watching your video here scared me away from your product.....liquid wrench will be my next stop
