Lon, Happy Holidays. We have been using BN link WiFi for a few years indoors. This year I was setting up the outdoor Christmas lights with an old outdoor clock lever settings timer. My wife said we need a outdoor WiFi plug.
As I was watching your video my wife overheard it. A minute later she told me that’s what I want. I am disabled and walking in the dark is dangerous. She said we could have one outlet for lights at night as I need them. All controlled from my smartphone.

I'm a fan of the Wyze outdoor Smart Plugs. It's affordable and reliable. The only change I would ask of Wyze is to change the physical plug (the portion that attaches to the outlet) to a flat one sending the wiring down and not out. This allows me to protect my outdoor outlet from weather.

Don't get wyze stuff, it's garbage. There's such a delay between actions and actual action it's insane. Even more so with notifications if you have a camera.

I've seen very good results from the Wyze cameras I have installed all around my house. Quick to respond and quick to notify me. Perhaps I have a better mesh Wifi setup?
