Hey Mike, I would like to share my situation concerning Finasteride. I went on Finasteride for a little over 3 years straight. At one point I lost practically all desire to have sex. I didn’t have any problems with obtaining or maintaining an erection at all but my interest level to have sex with someone or even alone wasn’t happening at all. My whole life I have always had a very active healthy sex drive and interest as well as an active healthy sex life! Finasteride literally shut it down! When I realized this was happening I became terrified. I had my testosterone levels checked and they were a bit on the lower end of the normal range which scared me even more. After A year of not taking Finasteride my desire for sex still hadn’t returned. I went on TRT and my libido and sex drive came back “somewhat” but not anything like it used to be. Even though there can be negative side effects with medicines, most all of us never think it will happen to me. Well it did happen and it was awful and is still not back to its normal self. I can tell you that I would rather be skin bald then to lose my sex drive or interest for sex. Imagine not caring at all about having sex with your partner or remotely giving to thoughts about an attractive female that you just came in contact with. Imagine never having a desire to watch porn or literally any of it. No masturbation, nothing. It’s not a good feeling and it’s not at all healthy. And even a bigger issue, they don’t really know why it happens and they don’t know how to fix it. And if the doctor tells you any side effects will stop the moment you stop taking it, I am living proof that is not the case for everyone. I am hoping it will fully return back to how it was before I started taking Finasteride. It’s not there yet and it has been almost two years now. I feel like I am 50 percent of the way there.. As uncomfortable as it is to talk about it publicly, I feel the need to tell as many people as I can that I would not in any way take Finasteride EVER! The risk is just too great!!! Motivation, the word is old, but the feeling is great ! Thanks bro.
This just shows me that everybody has something they're working on to try and improve themselves. Mike Thurston is a beautiful man, but his hairline is an area of concern for him. It oddly makes me feel better knowing that we all have things we'd like to change about ourselves. I hope he has success. But if it doesn't work out, remember that bald is sexy too!
See how you feel on finasteride in a couple of years. It was great for my hair loss but after 7 years it had a big effect on my life in a negative way. 2 years off it and I feel 10x better. But my hair loss has started again. I also have really high SHBG which I'm positive is as a result of taking finasteride. .. I take boron daily which helps lower it a bit.
@@Primal_Traders sex hormone binding goblin...its binds to testosterone, DHT and estrogen which means you have less free testosterone etc to be used by the body. My testosterone levels are in upper range of normal but the high SHBG basically gives you the feeling of having low testosterone

I have progress on my channel of my hair transplant and i must say it’s such a game changer! i’m so glad i went to turkey for mine😌
Thanks for sharing Mike! This brings hope for us with crap hair genetics..
Just touched 1 month mark since transplant. This video is encouraging.
Just keep yourself at a stress-free mindset and let things go their way
How much dear Mike? And how many bulbs?? Thank you for telling us your experience
Great vid - honest and candid. Look forward to the finasteride update.
U got the accent on point for the foreign barbers .. 10:09 HAHAHA
Great video, man. You seem very down to Earth and candid. Appreciate the video
Excuse me bro?
'Getting my bush on'
hahaha - This is what I will call manscaping from this day forth!
Ahhh the private clinic in London, dr Reddy nice bloke. Went there for my 1st Hair Transplant and going back in 2-3weeks time for my second. I will
Vlog it every day again. Recommend checking out The Private Clinic
The start had me crying with laughter 😂
Easily amused
Love the intro, so funny 😂 Your transplant looks amazing! Can't really tell you've had one done. I've had mine don'e back in october 2019, most of mine fell out week 3/4 and i've only now started seeing some small results.. i'm about to do my week 12 video, but it looks no way near as good as yours. did yours shed much? because it looks perfect.
Was this hair loss problem before or after the severe steroid abuse?
Mike, for sure this will sound like just one more of those totally common comments, but your video sharing the experience of hair loss and how you managed to get over it made an impressive impact on me and the way I need to deal with it.
@kbamm69 That's probably true but you have to admit he looks awfully pretty! :D
hi bro, did you train in week 3 and were under the sun?
This guy is so hot it doesn't matter whether he's bald or not
@Moonrock High don't hate on him for being gay
So you can't realize that a guy is hot without being gay? how fucking insecure are you dude?
Now imagine him without roids
+неизвестный Russians and homophobia name a more iconic duo.
Would look better bald, that transplant is meh looking
Food supplement to avoid after transplant ? Like pre creatine preworkout caffeine mv fish oils l carntine cla
Last time I was this early the McDonald's ice cream machine was working
Massive respect for speaking open about your problems and experiences about hairloss, sex drive, etc.!
Look into topical finasteride man. Some may go systemic but not nearly as much as when you take it orally.
Bro having hair is overrated health always over hair good choice
what does having high SHBG mean?
Yea ive heard quite a few finasteride horror stories
@@Primal_Traders sex hormone binding goblin...its binds to testosterone, DHT and estrogen which means you have less free testosterone etc to be used by the body. My testosterone levels are in upper range of normal but the high SHBG basically gives you the feeling of having low testosterone
