Interesting point about using 25 / 30 fps instead of 24 fps. I was wondering about that. It makes sense to upload 30 fps to allow more flexibility for potential buyers.

Hello mate. Wouldn’t it be better to shoot For instance 60 FPS and upload it with the same frame rate and leave a decision to a client whether to slow this clip down to 30 or 25 frames per second or even to save the clip with a “normal” speed as a 30 or 25 frames per second clip? What do you think? Cheers😉
Great question! I've been asking it myself a lot. I'm sure 4k in 60 fps is just another option that could work great. But... From what I've noticed stock agencies clients prefer to get readymade things. They like to see those epic slow movements instead of imagining how would that clip look like slowed down. I hope my answer makes sense. lol.
Thanks for the video brother this has helped, subbed. What would you reccomend I shoot in? I shoot 4k MOV 60fps V-log, and then I shoot DNxHR HQX 10bit 422 normally but would you say it's a lot better I shoot straight to h264 and just do 8bit with my 4k 60 V-log? Cheers
From what you say I guess you shoot on Panasonic GH5. DNxHR was not accepted by Shutterstock. Honestly, the last time I checked it was sometime in 2018 so things might have changed recently. In the case of your camera, it would be a shame to lose on quality so maybe Apple ProRes would be the best solution (if you're on a mac). Otherwise, H264 is probably your best bet. I would shoot in DNxHR HQX 10bit 422 and then convert it to H264 mov. Also remember that subject is much more important than all those technicalities. I shot my best selling videos with Canon 5d mk III :)

I really appreciate your videos. I have a few questions about the super basics that a complete beginner would wonder about. 1) If I’m creating accounts on different Stock Photography websites, is it better to use the same username on all of them or use different usernames on each one? Since I would probably be reuploading the same content on each platform, I wonder if it will look like I’m reposting someone else’s photos when the usernames are different. 2) Do you recommend creating accounts for each niche that I want to focus on (e.g., editorial, drone video, regular photography) or is it best to upload everything in one account? 3) What stock websites do you recommend for uploading editorial content? Thank you 🙏🏻
1) It doesn't matter too much, but it's always best to be consistent 2) I would create one account for all - it will give you less work and in some cases you will avoid mistakes like uploading same content to different accounts. this may give you some problems specifically on Shutterstock - they ma think you are violating copyrights 3) Pond 5 is good for editorial content. But the best 3 are Shutterstock, Adobe Stock and iStock (Getty images)

Where should I sell my stock footage now? Should I still keep uploading to shutterstock? or is there another site? And is it ok to upload same content to multiple stock footage websites to increase my chance of selling? Thank you for a great video!

Good point Fabian! That’s true. Ultimately it’s the subject and light that matters the most. So if you have a shot that is in demand both 24 and 30 FPS are good to go. However still with 30 FPS you are on the safer side. Honestly I don’t think anyone will notice the difference.
