Former Marine UH-1 Crew Chief (HMLA-169 & HMLA-369). I realize we Marines always the oldest equipment and I am proud that we do so well with it. However as a U.S. taxpayer, I wonder if not going over the the Apache and Blackhawk, we are spending an exorbitant amount of money on being the only service to still use these two platforms ? The cost of training crews to maintain two different types of attack and transport helo's and to maintain parts for each when the Corps could switch over to the Blackhawk and Apache. SF
