The rarest thing in the game is that one damn underground animal that no matter where you look, you can't find. Preventing you from discovering the last damn animal on a planet.
@@dontmindme.justaguy one trick I've learned is staying around the entrance of caves walking around by the outside. not gping in them like you would expect. I feel like it works but I could also he going crazy
The jellyfish plants are definitely my favorite things about frozen planets. With the lack of color variation, it's one of the few things outside of the fauna that make them worth exploring.
Everytime I see the title of a video like this I catch myself thinking "but how much am I gonna have to spend" before remembering that this game has no monetization at all. Something I'm so grateful for.
Back in Euclid, I used to buy Atlas Stones from a nice Korvax named Dop. I remember him fondly. No idea whatever happened to him, since I left that system long ago. I don’t even remember what he looked like, or what system it was, let alone the region. But hey, in the travels of you Euclid folk, if you ever see a shuttle piloted by a Korvax named Dop, tell him his old buddy Brickticks says hi from Eissentam. Rockatoa, Brickticks out.
I remembered a bit more about Dop. Firstly, his shuttle had I think it was six landing gear legs, and it had I think it was two, maybe four, vertical turbines. Also, I do remember it was a white shuttle, with teal or maybe light blue markings. Oh, and it was in the Tijangla Nebula, I think was how I was spelled, Tijangla, maybe Tijangula, not really sure as to the spelling, but still. If during your travels throughout Euclid, should you see old Dop, tell him I said hi!
Granted this was in creative mode, but I randomly by chance managed to find a blue squid ship at a space station only about 4 hours into one save, just an insane fluke; the ships are incredibly cool.
I only started playing two days ago and on my first space station in creative mode I came across a yellow squid ship. I have since nicknamed it The Banana.
Same, i came across one off them after playing NMS for maybe about 40 hours. It was white. I did not liked how it looks so i skipped it and bought the other exotic one - Royal Type-7
I have 2 types of fauna I couldn't find that often. One of my pets is basically a big glowing stone with 5-6 smaller glowing stones orbiting it, the other is kind of the same but instead of stones they are these tablets with weird writing on them. I really love finding these types of fauna!
In expedition 6, I finished it and continued to play (keeping as a secondary main), and built a base on a nice planet. Spent 20-30 hours there building, finally going to the space station to trade, I saw a squid ship fly in and land. I ran over but barely missed it and realized I may never see it again. Not more than an hour later, it came in again. I’ve seen it maybe 5-10 times since finally purchasing it. I didn’t even know it was there for almost a week of being mainly on that system!
You should think about sharing the coordinates for that planet, if you don’t mind people visiting. There are so few of those squids that every one is worth cataloguing. I’m working on trying to discover one myself. Cool find, dude!
@@trademarkshelton yeah, I’ll have to share the coords. I’ll try to share them on here later for ya. It is in another galaxy as the expedition required you to travel. I can’t remember the name though
Its Galaxy 89 and 90 for that expedition. There is a red squid that comes in regularly to the system I built my base in too. And I traveled til I found an unclaimed system to build in. Maybe that galaxy is squid-heavy. Lol
I have seen 3 squid ships at a trading post at the same time on 3 star economy gek world, those green ones. It was my start world, fully upgraded ship and exosuit before leaving the system. Though that was back when you had to get your atlas pass from exploring/ouposts and there was a lot more buildings on planets, they just feel dead now compared to what they were like. Too many complaining that a v3 atlas pass was to hard to get, there should be a option to get everything from exploring like it was originally.
@@djorngougenhimer7455 I thought only one exotic ship could spawn per solar system and once you get it, there won't be more. 100% agree on the Atlas passes, I had to grind for those things. It was such a sense of accomplishment unlocking the first crate/door with one! In terms of settlement/building density, I was on a paradise planet last night that was almost obnoxiously populated lol felt like the moment I'd take off from one settlement another would pop up on my scanner. Guess it just depends on the planet.
Awesome video. Here are a few more rare items that were taken out a couple yrs ago but you could still have in your inventory: Sodium diode, cobalt mirror, oxygen filter, salt refractor, rare metal element, carbon crystal, tetra cobalt, destabilized sodium, superoxide crystal, chloride lattice. I remember these cause I still have them.
It's a great list though I'd add the 'Wild Base Computer' which I just found earlier today. I didn't even know these things spawned out in the wild. Apparently they were used before you could build them to claim bases. I ran into one of these on the planet for the current weekly today.
Yep! They're incredibly rare nowadays. Players with pre-NEXT bases actually have a quest which uses them too. I still haven't completed it myself after all of these years. Haha I may need to include them in another video about obscure features. Thanks for commenting!
I've only found 1 "procedurally generated" base computer since I started playing the game over 2 years ago. I built a base at it. The nice large flat area makes a nice place for a base.
@@flash1259 Wait, are y’all serious? They’re rare like that? I started playing 3 days ago, and found one the day I started LMAO. Didn’t think anything of it and got rid of the base after I used it and left because I had NO clue what I was doing. :/
I remember struggling to find one of these wild base computers forever just to be able to build a base way back then. I’m glad they let you build them now
On my current save the spawn planet had one and is my main base as of now, though all I have is the npc terminals for the weapons guy, etc. I didn't think much of it at the time, just something cool that happened.
About the squid ship, I literally found one in the wild with only 30 hours up me lmao. I was waiting in an outlaw system for a s class solar ship because they were all c’s and then out of nowhere an exotic squid ship lands. I did buy it ofc and I’m one proud owner. I’m surprised myself I didn’t need to use a portal for it.
I found one too at around 50 hours about 3 years ago. Didn't even know what they were as I hadn't watched any UA-cam videos or done any research on the game. I did have enough to buy it, thought it looked cool and I still have it (never used it). I had a phase from around 30-70 hours where all the different exotics were spawning everywhere.
I'm a new player and the algorithm gave me your video. I was about to start my 3rd hour, when I got interested in the video. When you mentioned galaxies, that set me on a research binge, and wanted to thank you. I was playing minecraft at like 1.3 or so, and loved how visually pleasing and in depth the mechanics were, obviously these are 2 VERY different games, but I think I found a new thing to spend a few 1000 hours on over the next few years lolol
Great list. I didn't realize that squid ships were so rare because one of the first systems I travelled to had a 1st-Wave Yellow Squid Ship, so I farmed them for nanines. [Not first wave since 2021 update, not sure if even still there.] I did not know about the two impossible galaxies. I think need to make a personal expedition there.
I remember I saw the radon jellyfish within the first week of release. I mined them for radon. Little did I know that I was destroying members of a rare species! I never saw them again. I thought they were patched out! Kanaju! You’re on your way to 1000 subscribers! Remember us when you are famous!
Daniel Walker, you and I have been here since the beginning of the Kanaju! Since the Roblox and little big planet days! It warms my heart to see our boy and his success! Also never forget Komodo Island
Loved the video. I would say finding an S class capital freighter is super rare because, it only has about a 1% spawn rate and takes forever to find one. What sets these types of freighters apart is that it hold more storage and tech then normal S class freighters.
First off, this is a great list! I love everything you mentioned and the atlas stone, wao that was a throwback! Also, one thing you didn't mention and maybe have not encountered... what is the rarest storm you've seen? well I can tell ya', Gravity Storms! you can find them on anomalous planets (fungal, metallic, hexagonal, rattling, etc.). They lower the gravitational pull on the planet and turn to "moonlike" atmospheres, yet with over 2 thousand hours of gameplay, I have only encountered 3 so far. They are very rare. So much so that now that I think about it, it would be a great expedition to go out looking for one with some friends. It is time consuming because you have to find an anomalous planet and wait for the storm if there is any. One way I know would help to expedite that search is going to chromatic systems, specially green and blue since they have the most storms. Maybe also check on Calypso galaxy or any other violent galaxy, since stormy planets are much more common there too. Happy hunting!
Thanks! And yeah, you're right! That would have made a great entry. In fact, I can't say I've experienced a proper gravity storm, though I may have just forgotten. Perhaps I'll do a video covering all of the wacky weather in NMS. Thanks for the comment!
@@Kanaju please do, great idea for a video - I find the different weather patterns and hazards one of the more interesting and immersive aspects of the exploration/survival theme in the game.
I've encountered planets with 🌪 tornado storms and if you get pulled up you start flying along with it. First time it happened I thought the game was glitching till I turned up the volume and noticed I was in a stormyou actually get tossed fairly far as well.
In regards to the nanite issue of #6: For those unaware, scan every creature you come across on every planet you visit, as there is a major nanite reward for discovering all fauna on the planet you're currently exploring - exotic worlds will only give 500, meanwhile normal worlds will have 2500 or so. Since you need about 120000 to upgrade any C-Class tool or ship to S-Class, as long as the system has 4+ normal planets to visit, you can go to 12 systems at the most and be able to run a full upgrade each time, even less if you have either a B or A-Class. This will also advance the related Milestone achievement if you've been beating your head over it, like I had during a previous save I've been on.
I have an atlas stone, photonix core, and diplo. I remember when those floating plants were more common and they gave a resource that was worth a lot of units, good times
hey man, seeing as you can pack up and send tech modules now, would you be willing to make one, and see if you can send it to me its a matter of curiosity , I dont see why it wouldn't, but I could see it intentionally being blocked, yet its so rare that they may not have even considered blocking it
Oh wow! I'm super lucky! I got a royal on my first ever sentinel pillar (C but I upgraded it to S). I also have the incinerator in an alien multitool - no save game editing, just got it when it was available. AND I have a photonix core in my oldest ship!!!!! AAAAAND I have something like 20 Atlas stones!!!!!! Been playing since day one - just coming up to 500 hours.
Damn, that's good stuff! I also got some Atlas Stones left over, and the Photonix Core, but I missed out on the flamethrower, and never got a Royal MT. Lucky you!
Nice vid! I crossed a red S-class squid ship in a space station on my first hour back to the game. Glad I added it to my collection, didn't know how rare it was 😊
I also recently found the mutant frozen plants on my home planet, this was when sentinels released and I started playing again, ive literally lived exclusively on snow worlds since day one and the planet I live on now I have been on since the universe reset so that was definitely an interesting find
Honorable mention to the preorder ship. I don’t see those very often. I have it on my main save and can redeem it whenever I want on any of my other saves. I believe it is called Nojose’s Crystal Folly or something along those lines. Also, for a couple years, there were some buildable items that were removed from the game, such as the wall planter, which supplies carbon. Many, if not all of these were later re-added. I don’t know if there are currently any buildable items that are no longer obtainable, but it might be worth looking into.
I remember when the planter was exclusive to old saves. I should take inventory of discontinued building parts sometime. It might be interesting! Thanks for commenting.
With the Royal Multi-Tools; you can use the same Sentinel Pillar. Which tool appears is based on where your last load up was. Basically, fly from a planet/moon to the sentinel pillar & if it's not the royal tool, then go to a different planet, save & reload & travel straight to the pillar from from that one. Repeat until you've found the tool.
Even rarer than atlas stones might be quicksilver - as an item, that is. I have a 9999 stack of (unusable) quicksilver. Oxygen capsules and advanced ion batteries are also probably rare because they were replaced/removed as a craftable or usable item, but they still exist in inventories.
True! Sometimes when currencies are awarded they do appear in your inventory. Quicksilver in particular would probably be the rarest example of that. But that's more of a bug than an actual item. Oxygen capsules and advanced ion batteries on the other hand would qualify as rare items since they're no longer obtainable (bugged currencies still are). I appreciate the detailed comment! Thanks for watching!
Great vid Kanaju love your videos and input, I have been putting off buying NMS since it's release but am starting it Monday 5/16/22 and have been looking for lore and tips and I truly have learned a lot from you, so thank you. I am excited to start NMS thanks to you and some other youtubers I am currently following.
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you've been enjoying the videos. I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do. Fair warning, the opening section is a bit slow, but once it opens up you'll have no shortage of stuff to explore. And remember, you can buy most raw materials in shops instead of mining! Happy exploring!
Wow! Looks like even in the last two months your channel grew from 800 to like 6k at the time of me leaving this comment! Cool! I like how casual and down to earth you sound! Great stuff, cheers mate 🍻
I'm a pre-order pc player, even built my first gaming rig in preperation for the launch, used to follow dm21 and cobra back in the day. Just discoverd your channel recently and I learn something every time I watch one of your videos. As always thank you.
@@stanettiels7367 I wasn't trying to brag, I was trying to convey to Kanaju that I have played for a long time and was still learning about the game from his informative videos. Also why is it sad?
@@PanTheHermit It’s sad because people like you are the reason games like NMS release in the state they do. Broken, unfinished games on release are a direct consequence of pre ordering.
@@stanettiels7367 Oh ok, if it makes you feel any better Its the only game I have ever pre-orderd, and honestly the game ran very well for me on first install. I was lucky enough to initially spawn on a luscious planet with flying elephant gek things and golden grass, i was truely in awe. This start meant i spent the first 20 hours of game play just in my starter solar sytem to explore and 100% the animal scans, which in turn gave me a positive outlook on the whole game. But i remember like 2 weeks later one of the many updates from Hello games borked my game, other players were like "finally its improved". I didnt play the game again until like the first big update with base building. I dont regret my preorder, my ship is still in its box, its the only game collectable I own and is the reason I pre-order in the first place. Also being on PC meant I didnt even get to play on launch, playstation players got that privildge for the first couple of weeks. Having said all that I absolutely understand your point of view.
I've found floating living bubbles on a planet once, it was a dark redish and Grey planet and the sky was filled with this living creatures which looked like different sizes of bubbles. Idk if that was rare but it was pretty cool.
Anomalous planet maybe? I've found a few different spherical creatures on those kinds of planets. I found a creature you can actually fly up with. I'm affraid to hit space on it. I named it a swamp fairy cause I found it on a swamp planet. Its a weird looking thing.. it's ugly but a little cute.. cugly I guess.. it's green pink and white so an absolutely beautifully colored creature too. I had to adopt one.
I myself found a planet that had these rolling, bony, spikey, hollow spheres filled with purple light in them. Cool pet to start with. But then I found a rare variation of them that was made of metal and breathed steam like it was a steampunk Sphere. Definitely cool.
Damn you only had 800 subs when this came out! Now your at 18k. That's really impressive buddy you should be proud of the good content. Thanks for the help also 🙏🏻
Squid ship true story. The game glitched...have no idea how BUT I fell through reality when I used a starbase portal and ended up on a community planet with dozens of bases (some off the hook glitch builds). I went to the system starbase and on wave 2 EVERY SHIP was a squid ship, which was how I got mine. Then I scrapped more of them. I saved my progress then went back to my base....BUT was never able to even return to the starbase of that weird community system again.
I found a squid ship within 30hr play, I couldnt believe it at all. Luckily I had enough to buy one. seeing your video just made it more special knowing I got it within the time invested.
The rarest ships are shuttles with drone propellers. They were pulled from the game a long time ago but some stayed as a result of a bug. Happy hunting!
It's changed a lot even in just two years since Desolation. If you ever decide to return to it I'm sure you'd have no shortage of new things to discover! Gracias por su comentario!
Thanks for not begging for subs at the end but instead thanking those that youhave already, that's awesome. I stuck around because i actually really like what you've got going! None of my friends are into NMS so i can't convince other but I can give you a like and this comment in the hope that the almighty algorythm favours you😉
Thank you kindly, friend! I appreciate every like, comment, and sub I get. And the algorithm definitely seems to be noticing me lately, as my videos have gone from a handful of views to thousands! It's thanks to viewers like you. Thank you!
I got the game as a preorder and i didn't play much of it, few dozen hrs. But it's pretty fun to see "Oh...i saw that...or oh DAMN I HAD THE CHANCE TO GET THAT SHIP AND I DIDN'T" and similar. Hahah. Now i wanna go play again xD
I found 4 squid ships and sold 3 of them, I wouldnt say they're hard to find because if you look closer to the galactic centre, you have higher chances.
The rules might have changed since this video, but I got a A class-royal multitool from a sentinel pillar, so atleast nowdays, the can be found also other than C class
I still have a photonix core installed on my ship that I got all the way back in 2016, and I got like 1120 maneuverability thanks to it lol it's insane
@@mariahmayers8869 I have 1186 on mine with no Photonix Core. You can achieve over 3,000u/s in space with just boost, can push it a little higher if you install all starship trails which give a hidden cumulative boost to pulse drive boost speed, getting you to a little higher than that 3,000u/s mark. Also Polo / Artemis bobbleheads stack with starship trails for maneuv. boost. I've been tempted to save editor the Photonix Core because this whole ship has been about nothing but max maneuverability / speed since I got it and I've played PC since day 1 with pre order so cut me a break HG. Edit: I have 1375.6 maneuverability now and exactly 0.0 regrets.
can you store it and send it to someone else? if so could you make and send me a couple? im tryna build a museum of sorts and would love to add those to it
Great video. I like the things that pass through from earlier versions e.g. Atlas Stones. I'd like to see if players still have multitools or ship designs that are no longer available transferred over into the current version. I eventually ditched a fighter that I'd had pre-next as the design was changed and it had no tech slots. I kind of wish I'd held onto it to see if further versions allowed it to be upgradeable. Too late now. Ah regrets
I also wonder if it would have been upgradeable once that ability was added. Probably would be, but you never know with this game. One thing I wish I kept were those Obsolete Technology modules that appeared after NEXT. They didn't exactly fit into any category in this video though. Thanks for commenting, btw!
Man this takes me back I miss my day one edition. I used to have a base on 256 and isneine even got me into 257 and I had a base there years ago, bit I lost my day one disk and saves somewhere along the way. Which is sad. I know I could get back to them on my PC somehow but I prefer playing on console.
Thanks for the shoutout in the rarest fauna section! Also want to add that greater mushroom beetles are so rare that it's estimated that there is one per region. There's about 35 known at this time, five of which are in Euclid Galactic Hubspace.
No problem! I find the exobiology of NMS quite fascinating, even if only at the level with which I engage with it. I was comfortable sharing the corps' conclusions about the GMB since I've only come across LMBs in my 5+ years. Seriously rare stuff. Makes me wonder what other creatures might be out there. Especially with HG occasionally adding them discreetly such as in the Outlaws update. Thanks for commenting!
Whoa, I just recently got one of these as a companion on my main save! I had no idea it was so rare, other than the fact that I had never seen one before, which was why I added it to my companions roster. It was on a red paradise planet, and there were several things that I think were probably rare on it. There was a barracuda-looking fish that swam around by itself (meaning, not in a school,) and some mermaid worms. Then on land there were two different species of the bipedal bear-looking creatures. One was absolutely massive, and the other was so small that it came up below my knees, and you could barely see its head above the foliage covering the ground. I think the last land creature was a triceratops-looking one, but I don't remember for certain, and I don't have screenshots of that one. I'm looking at my screenshots of the mushroom beetle, and it does seem to have a stem, but it's a squat stem, with a few smaller mushroom shelves coming off of it. How tall does the stem have to be in comparison to the cap in order for it to be the greater mushroom beetle? In my screenshot my avatar is riding it not on top of the cap, but close to the beetle's head on its body, so the cap of the mushroom clips through my avatar's head and shoulders.
@@KitCameo As long as it has a stem then it is a greater mushroom beetle. That's pretty neat that you found one! Many people have searched through hundreds of systems and never found any
@@corvus6058 What I've noticed so far with the expeditions is that Hello Games seems to be throwing us in the path of a lot of rarities that we probably wouldn't find otherwise. After I wrote the above comment I loaded my save to see if I was remembering correctly, and even though it *is* my main save (meaning it wasn't one of the expeditions,) I think I might have stumbled across something neat in an expedition, and saved a portal address to the system. It might have been farther out than most, because it seems like only two other players have been here before me, and they only visited and named two of the 6 planets in this system, which left the paradise planet for me. Not only is this one planet in particular loaded with rares, but I took off from the planet to go sell some things at the space station, and while I was there an exotic guppy ship landed in the station.
Honorable mention is the Forcefield Pod Haulers. Very rare thing to find and my personal favorite ship type. Only ever seen 2 of them in 2,000 hours of gameplay. (Not including ones in the social hub) They have been In the game since at least Atlas Rises but perhaps even at launch I don’t know.
I love how formal you are when it comes to talking. You have my subscribe. I started playing NMS about a month ago and let me tell you, there's so much to obtain and always upgrading. I'm not a fan of glitches myself. So I really don't mind the hard work of grinding over time. it just makes the game enjoyable at the fullest. I'll be keeping an eye out for your UA-cam uploads my good friend. keep of the good work 👍
i found an S class royal multi-tool from a sentinal pillar! i was super shocked because it was the first S class tool i found in the wilds :D great video! thanks for the tips.
Damn, I didn't know the Photonix Core was patched out. I've just been slapping it into any ship I want to use. Also, I got the exotic multi-tool on the first go, so I doubt the drop rate is bad.
I am forever haunted by the regret of looking forward to No Man's Sky for years and then forgetting to preorder it when I planned to pick it up day one. Shame on me. lol
One of my friends decided to AFK in the Space Anomaly overnight to see what people would randomly give him. He got some normal resources and a void egg, but he also got an item that I’m almost certain was acquired via a save editor. He got NPC Happiness, but as an item. Was quite the interesting experiment.
i got a royal at my first pillar in starting system .. except i thru it away for a B class max spec .. it was C and well at the time i didnt think u could upgrade them... never found 1 since and feel so disappointed that i thru it away like that :(
Is it weird that before I even accomplish 10 hours in the game I found an octopus ship sent a screenshot to my friend cuz I didn't have enough money to buy it
I've had a S-Class Royal multi-tool from the very start of the game and I've always had it with me I never knew it was rare I just liked it because it reminded me of one of the factions from Warframe
Regarding rare ships like the squid ship, any 3 star system has one(or more, if you find one with 3 that’s pretty rare)S class ship in its ship pool that you can run into if you camp at places like the space station or trade outposts. Usually gotta wait an hour or 2 though.
Every system has one exotic ship, it's just that they have a higher chance of appearing in higher star systems. You can theoretically still get one in a one star system as well.
This video was great man when I got to the end and you said you only had 800 subs at the time was crazy to me, judging from the quality of the video I thought you would have 100,000 at least! Well i’m glad you have 9k now and I’ll be one of them ahaha
I found a mechanical animal the other night that reminded me of something out of Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm about 85 hours into my playthrough and I'd never seen anything like it. It eats ion batteries lmao I'm also so glad I decided to keep an Atlas stone from back in 2016. Just a cool piece of NMS history.
Just started playing . Having only 20+ hours in with no clue on what to do but I kicked sentinel a$$ and stumbled upon their pillars and came across that S class multi tool on my first one . Thankfully I held onto it and I’m now seeing that it’s a really good find
Awesome video and list. I was surprised by how many of theses I have actually seen or owned in the past. But you also put out several things I will now be looking for on my explorations.
I have a squid ship! I looked for months and months over 300 hours of gameplay until I got bored and started my stasis device farm. Then one day I landed in a random space station to sell some stuff and check out what they had for sale and boom, one flys in! Granted I had also been playing long before the hunt for the squid ship or building my stasis farm and had jumped through several galaxies.
I found a yellow squid in a space station in my first 60 hours on the game. I wasn’t looking for one and had my best ship on me and the squid ship had much less inventory but I decided to go for it. I’m almost up to 120 hours now and have over 2 billion units, 3 exotic ships and working on the starbirth mission. I feel pretty lucky finding the yellow squid as my first exotic as it appears it’s one of the harder ones to find
It's awesome to watch this and hear u talk about being blessed with 800 subscribers. And now I'm watching this video little over a year later and you're at 30,000 subs!! Good job my friend.
Thats cool!!! I just found a planet with floating squid flowers , and I didnt even know it was that rare! Ill have to go back and take a screen shot. Some of the rocks looked like giant transparent gemstones too.
i did knew octopus ships were rare but i didnt knew they were THAT rare, im only 90hours old in the game, 80 in a single save, and i found one by myself, and i was so excited to know i had 1 milestone that shares a place with things like bugged galaxies, preorder items or upgrades and out of date items, of course i was ready to know that mostly are no longer obtainable, but at least i have the ship and i can grind for the fauna ... and i do have a playstation, of course im gonna Grind 257 galaxies when i get the game, since i play on PC, but first im gonna need perfectionate a method to jump between galaxies real fast. Thanks for the information bro, 8k subscribers totally earned, plus me!
There's also old school nanites ( it's a 2d yellow nanite icon in your inventory ). Like the Atlas Stone you can't find those anymore. I own a few of them and only hand them out to super cool randoms.
@@misdafireinfexus5828 They're just inventory items, you can't put them in a base as decoration, so you wouldn't be able to showcase them in a museum unfortunately.
I do understand a lot of that, which is why id try to have the room decorated and looking nice- using glitches and expedition items as much as possible so its still weird/ cool/ abnormally decorated . id have to actually show people the items or make videos to share the collection, except for the ships which you could see. their are so few worth having in a museum like that so itd be decently easy for the hangar to show off. (rarest freighter type, the pc, ps4 and switch preorder ships, the utopia speeder, and the golden vector, with a tentacle ship in probably blue/ purple unless there is an ultra rare color combo) Id just build a room and use glitches and stuff around the storage containers holding copies of the abnormal and weird items/ oddities to probably showcase in a short video here or in person/ in game to my friends @@TheFlamingPike
My first ever Multi Tool that I discovered, was an A Class royal multi-tool, I didn't think much of it, and I'm glad I didn't throw it away, now that I know how rare it is!
I am 40-50 h into the Game and i randomly saw and gladly bought a squid Ship Yesterday. I was excited to find Out that this is that rare :) Thanks for that interesting Video.
I found my first squid ship by complete accident...I was hanging out in a random space station looking for S class ships to buy and scrap and looked away for a few minutes then looked back and saw it...luckily I flew down in time to buy it! Didn't know they were that rare...I got like 150 hours in and hadn't run into any but really didn't look before
I knew I should've pre-ordered it.. other than the gold first spawn helmet, which I had no idea was a thing until way after I couldn't get it anymore, the X.O. Helmet is now my favorite head comsetic. I need to quit missing out on the good head gear.
Liked the details about rarest items found in NMS and your other videos are quite good too. a friend was also watching and as he is on PS4 and is going to buy another just so he can Run Original disk as a day 1 game set as 9/08/16 so that he can get atlas stone and travel all 257 galaxies. ( he had an original save on usb which was damaged and lost everything and had to restart with Foundations. ) So He's going to recreate his save and see how long it takes him.( he loves a challenge.)
Your way of getting the atlas core will work! When you delete a game and put on the original disc again you can do it. By brother and I did something similar with Minecraft and ended up doing the original console tutorial and then we broke the game once we updated our worlds… I love your videos through. It’s incredible how far you have come in one year
I came across an exotic squid ship by accident and ended up selling it back when the max amount of ships you could have was six. Years after I still miss it and hope I find another one.
Really nice vid. I just got back into the game after about 2 years. I started from scratch in normal mode. After having played for two days, just today as I was at a station there came in a yellow squid ship. Luckily I had enough to buy it from the pilot after having sold the shirt of my back hahah. But damn, didn't know they were THAT rare... I'll consider myself lucky then I guess.
Great video man you earned a new sub from me. I've recently fell in love with the game deeper then ever before as I got my HP Reverb G2 3 weeks ago and this game in VR is AMAZEBALLS!
Great list of a gamer loving the game. For me, I was very picky regarding my freighter. I wanted to have a big ship with no optical flaws that would disturb a realistic design. And I got one. I even analysed it with a savegame editor but was not able to find any bigger and "cleaner" ones. The jellyfish plants are definitely my favorite things about frozen planets. With the lack of color variation, it's one of the few things outside of the fauna that make them worth exploring.

That’s so awesome!
Listen, No Mans Sky, fun game, but Hello Games took a massive L removing the flamethrower
I really wish you could share it! 🥺
Is there any way you can transfer it?
Do you know how to dupe it so you can make profit? (I am sure many people want it)
Everytime I see the title of a video like this I catch myself thinking "but how much am I gonna have to spend" before remembering that this game has no monetization at all.

I found a blue squid within the first few weeks of playing! Normal mode though
I found a squid ship myself, forget how long it took, but because I couldn’t buy it, I made him join my fleet
@@CallowayFields I would have named it Nannerpus.
I have 2 types of fauna I couldn't find that often. One of my pets is basically a big glowing stone with 5-6 smaller glowing stones orbiting it, the other is kind of the same but instead of stones they are these tablets with weird writing on them. I really love finding these types of fauna!
Isnt the stone one the one that always spawn in some exotic planets?

Haha
I may need to include them in another video about obscure features.
Pretty much same for me. I couldn't afford it at the time though so my shiny escaped
The floating mutant plant is pretty funny, because I've got a couple of them near my first or second base, and I had no idea they were rare!
On one of my old normal saves I actually have an Incinerator, only thing flaw with it would be the fact that it eats through ammo insanely fast

I've never experienced one. And I visit every anomaly planet I see.
I played the game for over a year before I realized there was a nanite bonus for scanning all the animals, lol
i just make a robo pet nanite farm thousand an hour and it works AFK
Thanks for the portal coordinates! After venturing into the midgame I’m preparing to start seeking out portals and glyphs to find worlds!
No problem! Thanks for commenting!
I have an atlas stone, photonix core, and diplo. I remember when those floating plants were more common and they gave a resource that was worth a lot of units, good times
hey man, seeing as you can pack up and send tech modules now, would you be willing to make one, and see if you can send it to me its a matter of curiosity , I dont see why it wouldn't, but I could see it intentionally being blocked, yet its so rare that they may not have even considered blocking it
id also like an atlas stone to add to a museum box of interesting one off items, like expedition items etc just cuz

Came here specifically to see if the flame thrower was listed. It’s my crown jewel on my PlayStation account

Those are pretty rare and pretty cool! I believe they have been in since launch, however don't quote me on that. lol
Just found my blue squid ship as the first spawn in a space station about 40 hours in, didn't realize how rare it was.
I never saw a live squid ship before... wtf.
I'll be keeping an eye out for your UA-cam uploads my good friend. keep of the good work 👍
I just watched your video. then i went in game and i got A Oculus-class freighter.
That's lucky! I couldn't even find one to record footage for this video. Haha
I actually found the squid ship so I guess I’m lucky. It looks similar to yours except little but “bluer” tips.
I actually came upon the squid ship in my first playthrough of No man's sky, I'd only been 40hrs in and bought it immediately 😂
I just encountered my first one after only like 150 hours. I felt real lucky
i found an S class royal multi-tool from a sentinal pillar! i was super shocked because it was the first S class tool i found in the wilds :D great video! thanks for the tips.
Damn, I didn't know the Photonix Core was patched out. I've just been slapping it into any ship I want to use. Also, I got the exotic multi-tool on the first go, so I doubt the drop rate is bad.
Do you get blueprints for them?
@@itthiccomode2754 I do have the blueprint for the Photonix Core.
@@Jomama7272 I wonder if you could trade one by ship-trading
@@itthiccomode2754 I could trade one and have someone else buy it, but everything I've added to it will be deleted.
From 800 to 28k. Good shit dude
The photonix core will forever haunt my collectors soul dreams 😱🙁
I am forever haunted by the regret of looking forward to No Man's Sky for years and then forgetting to preorder it when I planned to pick it up day one. Shame on me. lol
@@Kanaju Hey, if you ever find somebody with the blueprint, you can trade ships!
One of my friends decided to AFK in the Space Anomaly overnight to see what people would randomly give him. He got some normal resources and a void egg, but he also got an item that I’m almost certain was acquired via a save editor. He got NPC Happiness, but as an item. Was quite the interesting experiment.
i got a royal at my first pillar in starting system .. except i thru it away for a B class max spec .. it was C and well at the time i didnt think u could upgrade them... never found 1 since and feel so disappointed that i thru it away like that :(
That is a sad tale indeed.
Dude I’ve been watching your videos for a while now, you are genuinely super cool! Looking forward to seeing you around more ^^
Is it weird that before I even accomplish 10 hours in the game I found an octopus ship sent a screenshot to my friend cuz I didn't have enough money to buy it
I've had a S-Class Royal multi-tool from the very start of the game and I've always had it with me I never knew it was rare I just liked it because it reminded me of one of the factions from Warframe
Also have it but addicted to the Staff😆
WAIT THAT SHIP IS RARE?!! I literally saw one yesterday, passed it off as strange, then carried on with my day!! Damn newbie brain.
I found a mechanical animal the other night that reminded me of something out of Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm about 85 hours into my playthrough and I'd never seen anything like it. It eats ion batteries lmao
I'm also so glad I decided to keep an Atlas stone from back in 2016.
Good job my friend.
super impressive video. good pace. good commentary. fantastic findings.
I literally just found a mutant floating frozen plant like 20 minutes after watching this video. I only have about 30 hours.
There's also old school nanites ( it's a 2d yellow nanite icon in your inventory ). Like the Atlas Stone you can't find those anymore. I own a few of them and only hand them out to super cool randoms.
do you still have any? even just one would be cool for a museum of nms oddities I wanna build, and id say that would fit the bill
I was excited to find Out that this is that rare :)
Thanks for that interesting Video.
Just starting really. But i love finding new things everytime i play. And i love these vids, just makes me want to hop in even more
Glad you're enjoying it! And thanks for watching!
This video finally gave me something to do in NMS. Thanks!
By brother and I did something similar with Minecraft and ended up doing the original console tutorial and then we broke the game once we updated our worlds…
I love your videos through.
I really enjoy your narration. Very amicable and soothing voice. You're gonna go far my guy, keep it up.
Thanks, man. Believe it or not your comment was just the pep talk I needed. I appreciate it!
Great video man you earned a new sub from me. I've recently fell in love with the game deeper then ever before as I got my HP Reverb G2 3 weeks ago and this game in VR is AMAZEBALLS!
Nice! Yeah, it's the perfect VR game. Thanks for the support!
Great list of a gamer loving the game.
For me, I was very picky regarding my freighter. I wanted to have a big ship with no optical flaws that would disturb a realistic design.
And I got one. I even analysed it with a savegame editor but was not able to find any bigger and "cleaner" ones.
For anyone interested, below is a small fraction of a VERY tedious analysis of ship designs and I picked the most interesting ones (imho):

If you come to stumble across any other cool ship designs, feel free to tell!
11:14 it was since the golden vector came back and with the photonix core, so if you did the redux expedition you were able to get it
Great list, buddy!
Thanks!
7:34 you can also get the sentinel boundary maps by salvaging the salvageable scrap found on some planets
Just started playing the game thank you for showing off things that I now should look up and attempt to get.
As a returning pre-order player, I was wondering what those Atlas Stones were and why I had it. glad I didn't sell it!
Very cool list; I haven't played in ages and this makes me want to explore!
