If you dehydrate in the oven you have to have the oven door little bit open that is not for the tempature you can have it if you need lower temprature but it is many for the hot air to get out so you don't sweat the almond and get mold or get bad.
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE YOU ARE SO RIGHT I JUST LOST A SHIT TON OF NUTS CAUSE THEY GOT MOLD AND I DID THEM IN THE OVEN WITH DOORS CLOSED, but do u think that just opnening the doors will work?
the almonds will soak the water but they are not classified as live sprouted almonds you need unpasteurized almonds for that..buy your nuts directly from organic farms they deliver and its cheaper!
I'm a little confused. Do you peel the skins then dehydrate them to make almonds to snack on. I'm not interested in making butter or anything out of them just yet. I just want to be able to turn soaked almonds into a tasty snack. Thank you.
When dehydrating raw foods, temperatures vary. "Wet" temperatures (boiling) will denature enzymes above 115 degrees F. "Dry" heat (oven dehydrating) will denature food enzymes above 150 degrees F. www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/at-what-temperature-are-food-enzymes-destroyed/
Erik P With almonds, "sprouting" is typically just soaking, and is adequate to remove enzyme inhibitors and revive the biological activity of the seed. If you want to actually sprout them you just repeat the washing procedure twice a day for a few days. Anyone who has more than a passing curiosity will learn this by doing a few minutes of reading on the subject.
Obviously, but you won't find that out until you buy them and try. By law any almonds sold in stores must now be pasteurized. Good luck getting them to sprout.
The almond skin is where the tannins are. I dont think you can sprout nuts from what i read in some raw food books that i have. If you have a bag sealer you can make them last longer.
Thanks for the info. I got this from my local organic market and they assured me they were raw, but it sounds like these sneaky bastards have figured out how to get around the rawness and lie.
leaving the oven opened might melt the nobs since they are made from plastic (from experience).
I missed the sprouting part. Did anyone else?
Thank you that was very informative.
Is it not OK to put them to soakin the refrigerator?
Organic pastures, livingnutz and nutsdotcom sell raw organic almonds, they're not grown in California but imported from spain and other countries.

"How To Soak, Sprout and Dehydrate Your Almonds"
Where is this "Sprout" in the video?
Do you even know what sprouting is?
title said 'how to sprout almonds also....I saw nothing
So when does the sprouting part come into play?
She don know what she doing 😂
I'm a little confused. The shelled almonds you used as a snack, are they dried or eaten after just soaking them?
Is it possible to use the soaked and dehydrated almond to make almond milk out of it ????thank you

I know there are way more options and thanks for the farm info!
Doesn't 150 degrees kill the enzymes? I've heard that they should be dehydrated at no more than 115 degrees to keep the enzymes in tact.
Exactly 💯

How long can you store them after soaking and dehydrating ? :)

You don't know what you are talking about
Can you eat the almonds after soaking or do you have to dry them first?
I know. I was only referring to stores. Imported almonds may have other problems, though.
150 degrees in owen and 30 minutes later they are ready, why whole day?
Does the salt just add to the taste? Or is there another reason why you add salt to the water?
David Gaskin
the soaking process runs much better if you add an acidic medium to whatever it is that you're soaking.
Is that F or C
HI, why do you add salt? Thanks :0)
+Ella Blun Wow thanks for the great info! Really appreciate it. All the best :0)
@Ella Blun holy crap! This is freaking good! Thank you so much for sharing :)
misleading, no sprouting.
agreed
good almonds
FYI - all almonds are now pasteurized by law, so all that soaking and "sprouting" that you did was for nothing - the almonds were dead all along.
brian0918 can you provide a link?
Then how did I buy 1 pound of raw almonds at Whole Foods the other day?
Hey!
Do I have to dehydrate nuts/seeds before making the butter? Like do I HAVE to?
Thank you for watching! No, you don't have to dehydrate nuts or seeds before making nut/seed butter.
+TheCrunchyHousewife
Yea! Thanks!
How long does the non dehydrated nut/seed butter last?
Thought we'd be seeing dehydrated sprouted almonds, not how to get almonds wet then dried.

250gms of almonds how much cost in ur area please tell me
Where is the sprouting of the almonds?
This video is a hole lie
I'd rather have it imported raw than pasteurized.
Those aren't the only two options. I order mine online direct from a farm, unpasteurized. (Briden Wilson Farm)
Nothing over 115 ...
hi very almond sprouts shall i know ur good name and country state.please

Activating, Sprouting, Soaking, germinating...all the same thing.
whatever you wanna call it is ok. lol!
Peace and Love
this is pasteurized almond.. not pure raw almond.. y can see it when its easily peeled off
udang manis I have unpasteurized raw almonds and the skins come off easily after they are soaked.
actually if they actually sprout they are still alive
I cannot get my ''raw'' almonds to sprout
Howard Johnson Are you certain they are raw? Most almonds in the US market labeled "raw" are still pasteurized.
Thanks for the info. I got this from my local organic market and they assured me they were raw, but it sounds like these sneaky bastards have figured out how to get around the rawness and lie.
Thank you so much.
Too much uhh-ming & hawing!
it takes longer to sprout than a mere overnight soak. sorry to say but honestly you didn't sprout them.
P U
🤦🏾you can't dehydrate with an oven😂😂😂😂
