Does anyone know if you need to place down the sticky strips between the glass and LCD when replacing the LCD for a M3 Max? I had a LCD go bad on M3 MAX. When I went to remove the screen it had the sticky strips between the two, but the video (that anycubic sent me) of a LCD for the mono x being replaced. It WASN'T held down with sticky strips, nor did they put any down when placing the new LCD down.

Hello, I was wondering if you can help me with something. I got this printer a while ago it was printing fine until today. The prints are coming out half done and some are falling off the bed. I level it, checked the up light and clean it but it stills does the same Do you have any advise for me? Hope to hear from you soon.
The FEP film has to stop the cured resin from sticking to it. The material is similar to the Teflon used in a non-stick pan. Since it can flex this also helps the model release. The early SLA printers used a PDMS silicon layer to do this job but the vat was hinged on one side to it would tilt instead of flex. The FEP is a much cheaper and more efficient way of achieving the same result. Unfortunately resin will stick to glass and wouldn’t work well at all IMO.
it looks like there is already a screen protector there. already pre applied and that is the extra screen protector. bending the prongs of the autofill sensor would mean that when you are removing the vat the sensor prongs would be in the way.
What is the link to the replacement vat hold down bolts? I have an older Mono X that had the plastic knobs break so would like to replace those and the ones on the Max. Thanks.

I love the video! Thank you I learned so much, but I would advise not to bend the autofill sensor down to match the max fill line, because its set to take displacement into account when the buildplate is down in the resin and the resin level rises up.
Not to the "MAX" line of course, but in my case bending it a little bit was needed: I filled the tub right to the MAX line and the platform stil didnt displace the resin enough to reach the contacts

Anycubic Photon M3 Max questions for any kind soul please: 1. What frequency is the FEP supposed to be tuned to? 2. Does the FEP spacer still require the "13mm" bottle cap depicted in their official FEP Replacement video or is the M3 Max a different calibration? (I have seen some 19mm spacers from users.) 3. What is the torque setting for the screws on the FEP sheet? 4. Replacing the Glass under the LCD left a gap on one side is there a way to combat this? As the adhesive strip needs to be as far out of the print area, and on the perimeter as possible. 5. Anyone able to fix the touch screen not responding often? Generic Questions: 1. Does anyone consider that the FEP has to be the same temperature as during normal operations while installing the new sheet? I'm sure temperature has some (if negligible) difference?
Thank you for the video. It gave me an good overview about the printer I just bought. Did you test several resin types? I am still looking for a good one. I tried Eco UV resin with my Anycubic DLP Ultra. And I liked it.
I never use the pump on mine. I can also tell you I never drain the resin (I always use water washable.) Left some in for 7 months and it still worked fine, you just have to mix it up in the vat with the plastic blade as the components separate, but then it worked fine.
If you place the FEP down flat on something it becomes crystal clear the closer you get. The frosted FEP does not “disperse or diffract the light. My figures bear this out.
