Exactly what I needed to know about adjusting my door for a slight gap i was seeing at the bottom
This worked well, made a HUGE difference. The rollers don't seem to be directional, there are adjustment screws on both sides. It took longer to clean the track and frame than it did to actually change the rollers
The new rollers have adjustment screws facing both sides. Not sure which side should appear through the adjust hole. It would help if the instructions described whether turning the adjustment screw clockwise or counter-clockwise is supposed to raise or lower the rollers.
Floyd Miller Agreed, it would be nice however, the most important thing the installer can do is to make sure the new pair are both installed in the same direction, for instance, with stamped logos up on both before installing. Do a quick test adjustment before installing the door back in the frame to determine clockwise/counterclockwise
The old rollers are held in place by metal tabs and 1.5" wood screws, while the new rollers snap in and out on little "barbs"? Your heavy door rides on little "barbs"? That's progress?
Yeah, the people in power their like to only do things their way. My previous job I was in Industrial Engineering and lost it because covid hit the company hard. So I started at Andersen late 2020 and currently work on a line. I can tell you first hand that all the knowledge I possess means nothing to the leads, supervisors or managers and it is so frustrating having to do things the most inefficient ways. I have to listen to them talk about hitting numbers yet no one wants to listen and try possibilities on how to achieve such things.
Their not going anywhere, I promise.
Excellent video
Tim couldn't do it
it took Doug a whole day for just framing
Why by Anderson, videos that show you how to repair your sliding screen door pre-1991. No more inferior "MADE IN CHINA."
