Extremely helpful! My sliding door has been horrible for years and this video helped me fix the problem. Thank you!
I didn't think it was possible to get the cartridge out, but with the video convinced me it just might...and it did. Couldn't have done it without you.
Yep, just lift and out it comes. That’s exactly how it went for me. So easy. Now, I’ll go look up a helpful video on how to remove the 🤬door
Glad it worked out well for you!
@@americanwindowconcepts5510 I think you may have missed the sarcasm.
Im done with the sliding doors just want a regular door.
Yeah I agree; the problem comes when your door is heavy duty and heavy!
great job man
There may be anti-lift blocks in the slot above your door that prevent you from lifting the door high enough to remove. They should be easy to move or slide the door to a position where they're not in the way. I learned this the hard way.
well done sir!
Thank you!
Well done bravo👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
gereat vdieo, thank you!
Where can I buy these quad rollers?
Looks super easy but unfortunately I can not get the door to clear the bottom track when I lift it up and out. Any ideas how I can do this?

Maybe a putty knife under the roller areas as your lifting and pulling out. Try that.
A putty knife under 4 pivoting wheels? Not easy.
This is BS. If it was that easy, any thief could do the same. There are anti-lift features in most doors. In mine you have to remove the stationary door first by unanchoring it and then remove the rolling one from the side where the stationary one was. Rolls perfectly now with the rollers from Lowes, same 30 year old door.
Are rollers universal?
How much is the labor to change wheels out?
Can you replace a single with a dual roller and is a 1.5" better than a 1.25" given you've the clearance to reinstall a very heavy door? Thanks
Yes, you should be able to do that.
What about the weather strip ?
What about a gap in between slide door and other glass when door is closed ?
Is there an industry standard on the roller plate? Or will I have to go down a long rabbit hole trying to figure out the manufacturer of my door from 1993? I didn’t put it in so I have no clue what brand it is.
Ventura
Any idea on a legance 3 patio door type ddsg code: tri-k-36
So easy!😀 unfortunately not all sliders are the same 😞
True, but the main rules apply for most vinyl slider doors.
My biggest gripe with all these videos. There are a ton of different doors with their own unique issues. It seems like every video pretends they're all the same.
I have a sliding door that drags and it’s really hard to open or close. I have the screw and a hole at the top and bottom front and back. It’s a rental apartment so I’m not sure of the history. Can you tell me what I can do to make it easier to move?
My door doesn't lift out like that what is the procedure for a door like that ?
Hard to say without seeing the door you have currently.
Does the top need rollers on a sliding door?
No. Some doors are pre punched with areas for rollers, but it’s a simply a gravity slider so bottom rollers only.
I have holes in the front but I can see a flat or star or allen socket that lines up. Not sure how to lower the door to lift it out.
Should be able to turn the adjuster to the left to drop the door sash in the track so you can clear the bottom rail of the door. Maybe an old milgard door?
You lost me at pick up and pull the door out. 😂 Mine did not do that.
Try using a putty knife under the door simultaneously as you’re lifting and pulling the door bottom out of the track.
Only one screw to fix this roller, it is easier but safe and not easy to be damaged again or something?
One screw to remove and set the roller. But it is house and supported by the sash frame.
My door definitively does not lift out like that
Try running a putty knife ended the rollers of the door sash as you’re pulling the slider out of the track area.
Music during an instructional video is never helpful. Not everyone has perfect hearing.
Agreed. I was having issues as well with his voice vs music
Without the music I don't think I could have replaced my rollers... music is imperative for the repairing of roller on sliding door. Everyone knows this
I had no issues but can see how some people may not be able to concentrate.
Respectfully, your example is a brand new door. My door has been in place since 1982. Rolls but equals badly. Locks ok. Just awful scrape or squealing sound when opening it.
Is the door aluminum? If so, it may be slightly more difficult, but is doable
Annoying background musac , bad camerawork and absolutely No Way our doors will just "lift out" 😭😟
Thank you
