Looks very tasty. I know it was suggested already, but if the bread could hold up, I would soak the bread in egg before wrapping them in bacon. Also, I do love butter as much as the next guy, but bacon already tends to be greasy. I might try without the butter when I do try this.

I would skip the egg part as only minimal will and in fact have sticked to the bacon/bread..maybe make a flat omelette and then wrap that around
