Manowar is very much the musical equivalent of a Conan the Barbarian story. Rough, wild, altogether politically incorrect for the current era. Totally over the top. They're a wedge both inside the metal community and outside. Some love the band for both what they are and aren't. Others think they're ignorant meatheads. For a particular mood, they can be the exact thing. As a few others have said, great weight lifting music. Fun. Not to be taken too literally.

You cannot dissect their sound, and that is what makes them a monumental band. Their discography is, in the end "Epic Metal" in all aspects... They sing about everything that is included in epics of yore: destruction, mental preparation, spiritual empowerment, pure aggression and vengeance, religious belief or devotion (regardless of religion), the aftermath, even partying loud... you mention it. They have written about every possible way to wage war in both fantasy and real history. And they do get passionate in their lyrics no matter the concept. They are a "love or hate" band and that is part of their charm. They would have a song about Native Americans written from the point of view of a Native American (Spirit Horse of the Cherokee) and at the same time, a song about life in the wild west (Outlaw). They would write about historical events like the Jonestown deaths (Guyana), or fictional depictions of the vantage points of people devoted to something, good or bad we don't judge, as long as it is pure (Dark Avenger, Bridge of Death). Much like "power and dominion" which stuck in your head, this happens in almost every song. They a way to describe very "accurately" and without any political correctness, as the idea is to describe not to judge the situation... A medieval warrior would indeed burn and pillage and rape... Yes, it is supposed to make you feel uneasy. War IS uneasy... A person devoting his life to Satan would say "grant me wings and as your messenger I'll fly"... And a religious zealot waging a "Holy War" would indeed say "Sweep these dogs from our kingdom. Bless this ground, our holy land."... At the same time songs like "Master of the Wind" and "Mountains" are more poetic and dreamlike and the lyrics are as well. Not everything "epic" should be about war, and those two songs are all about inspiration and self motivation. But when they do describe partying and having fun, they would equally be very vulgar and primal. All in all, whether you like them or not, they one thing true about them is that they are true and original, and that same "truth" is what is conveyed in their sound and lyrics.

Manowar is often considered a "missing link band" when it comes to their genre, technically speaking they are straight up heavy metal, but even the guys over at The Metal Archives tend to label them as a heavy/power metal hybrid band because of their strong influence on power metal, particularly the American strain that tends to be a bit more rugged and ballsy. "This sounds like Power Metal to me". Man, two hip-hopheads discuss metal genres. You came a long way. Bravo! Also: this song live at concert is insane! A whole Manowar show is awesome too. Going to see them again next year!
Manowar is, as others have noted, very much based around barbarians/vikings/etc. The group is very much into military, armies, and music around those things. Hail and Kill is a commander exhorting his men before they go into battle. The fight they are heading into isn't going to be a technical war, but it's going to be a bloody hand-to-hand battle. Back in the days of the viking hordes, killing servants having their way with the women, etc. were spoils of the winning army. Much of their music revolves around Norse mythology, and they have later albums solely about it.
Hardcore Manowar Fan here! I guess you could tell by my name.😉 I'm happy you reacted to my favorite band! Hail and Kill is one of Manowar's anthems that is meant to be heard live. I would recommend watching the Hail and Kill version from the band's Earthshaker concert. I would recommend the songs Call to Arms, House of Death, Mountains, Blacklist, Master of the Wind, God or Man and many others! I tend to prefer Manowar's music from the 90s and onwards. Don't listen to those scumbags in the comments section who trashing Manowar; I had to respond to those punk ass flakes and put them in their place for talking shit. This is an awesome band that I believe you will enjoy. I liked your reaction and I look forward to you guys doing more Manowar reactions.
Manowar fans are actually fucking crazy. When I was 12 or 13, about 20 years ago I could actually sneak into dim lighted rock bars in the city I live in Turkey. When their songs came up all those calm looking biker like guys used to get up on their tables and chug their beers like animals. I saw one chrash a pint glasson his head out of ecstasy of the song. If anyone else would do that shit they'd be thrown out. But not them. Been to a lot of places in europe and watched them live; turns out all Manowar fans are alike. They LITERALLY have the power to raise an army that could make the isis look like little girls with popsicles. Not kidding.
I could see metal being more of a legit macho thing in third/second world countries, when I see western footage I almost only see skinny nerdy looking types being into it though.
You can build a classic Manowar song with the following words: ring, king, hail, metal, kill, power, glory, loosers, winners, brothers and steel. Feel free to combine and you get any Manowar song.
You can find clips on UA-cam of Adams holding pitch perfect high note screams for 20-30+ seconds in LIVE performances. Never seen another singer that can do that in ANY genre.
Manowar is a big influence on power metal but they call themselves true metal. Review a group called edguy for power group song new age Messiah for some good lyrics and music
I love that song... I don't think they would. Based on their other opinions on Iron Maiden songs and longer songs, I don't think it would click with them.
Savatage is a MUST. They should do "Gutter Ballet", "When The Crowds Are Gone" or "Edge of Thorns" for sure! And then "Believe" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well.
Savatage - The Unholy, Degrees of Sanity. I have been calling out for them to react to Savatage along with other recomendations for quite a long time. Falling in blind eyes. Here's another George and Ryan, Two favorites from Kreator: When Suns Burn Red, and People of the Lie. I really have good ones guys. Even Manowar's The Triumph of Steel, my favorite Manowar album. If you want skills this is the one.
You guys have evolved so far in terms of metal knowledge since you first started doing metal reactions. I'm constantly impressed by your dedication to music and how open minded you are, even when you don't like a track you can appreciate it for the art that it is. Keep em coming!!
I would love to see their reaction to this song. I know they said they're not fans of screaming vocals, but the vocals on this song (and album) he sounds so fucking pissed off.
Yes. That whole album man! I love the older AtG stuff occasionally, but the production and occasionally intonation on it is so bad it is near unbearable. Those fucking violins on the world returned 🤮, but slaughter made the band one of the best things to ever happen to metal music.
Alice in Hell is an all time thrash classic, I just hope they don't get all hung up on the vocals (which aren't good). Those guitar riffs are just pure metal greatness though
How about ANNIHILATOR - "Annihilator"? I bet they'd like the groove, but at the same time the song is a little repetitive so from a certain point of view this is even less accessible than "Alice". You need to know what Jeff is capable of to fully appreciate "Annihilator". Kind of hard to tell what is the best point of entry into Annihilator.
Warriors of the World was one my recent favorites. I loved Spirit Horse, Crown and the Ring, Blood of a King, Defender, Master of the Wind, Sons of Odin, Holy War and Die with Honor just to name a few.
Manowar is very much about being a warrior from back in the old days. They have plenty of songs about Norse and Greek mythology. Think of it like if 300 or Gladiator were a heavy metal band. Also, yeah power metal kind of derived from their sound. Fun fact, my old band opened up for them back when I lived in New Jersey.
If we forget about rock/hard rock and stick to pure metal and talent/voice capabilities/technique ONLY, then: 1-3. Ronnie James Dio = Rob Halford = Bruce Dickinson 4. Geoff Tate 5. Michael Kiske 6-10. King Diamond, Kai Hansen, Corey Taylor, Serj Tankian, James LaBrie.
@@golarzfilip6219none of them can hit those notes with the aggressiveness Eric prints in his songs. He's at par with your top3 easy, and none of the top 3 can sing Hail and Kill as good. But I bet Eric can do really good versions of any song you want in that top 3, except for Painkiller, maybe.
Great Job. Even most metaheads don't realize that Eric Adams was on another level. But I think a better entry four you guys would have been Blood of my Enemies. Also: Iced Earth - A Question of Heaven Luca Turillis Rhapsody: Ascending To Infinity
Dude night of the stormrider was one of the best heavy metal albums ive ever heard. Iced Earth is extremely underrated. They lack a great lead guitarist but thats about it.
There is one song by Manowar that includes the titles of a number of their songs in the lyrics (Death Tone, March for Revenge, Sign of the Hammer, Blood of a King, etc). If you take those song titles, find those songs, and listen to them in the order they are listed in that song, in a bizarre way they end up telling a story.
If you want to hear the vocalist really shine, you gotta hear Kingdom Come. His screams alone in that song show more emotion and talent then some singers could ever hope to achieve.
Manowar is one of my favorite bands and I love this song! The whole band is really good. They write a lot of songs about Greek mythology. Two songs I love from them are. Achilles, Agony, and Ecstasy which is about the battle of Achilles against Hector. It has a great drum solo, a great electric guitar solo, and a great acoustic guitar solo. The second song is Master of the Wind which is a polar opposite of this song. It's a ballad, very mellow and uplifting song. This band has many great songs, some mellow and some hard. They are definitally worth more of a listen.
Manowar as far as I still know is the loudest band ever in the Guinness Book of World records. I wish you guys would've done Battle Hymn as I mentioned on the Melvin's reaction but how about some Helloween Keeper of the Seven Keys and make sure it's part 1. Thanks guys.
Manowar is going to sound like Manowar no matter what lol, but this isn't my favorite song from them. Lots of better choices than this one in my opinion.
YEEEESSSSSS!!! Manowar practically invented power metal(although it absolutely owes its existence to Iron Maiden hands down). Manowar is literally like a sledgehammer, no apologies.
Guys! To appreciate a band like Manowar: watch the two classic Conan movies (Schwarzenegger), then listen to Warriors Of The World by Manowar (song request, check). Also react to Manowar songs like Courage and Defender (featuring a spoken word verse by Orson frickin’ Welles). Oh! And crack open a few beers while doing it.
Warriors of the World was the first album to disappoint, and the beginning of their downfall. Their last flawless album was Louder Than Hell, and their best album is probably Triumph of Steel, though Sign of the Hammer holds a special place for me. If you suggest a song or album, you should recommend something from their hayday, their prime, not fucking warriors of the world. People who request that song/album makes me think they're never heard any of the classic, good, Manowar, and you settle for something newer. Try Ride the Dragon, or Power of Thy Sword, Brothers of Metal, etc... Good songs.
This just popped in my feed and made me smile. Always love seeing people get intro'd to Manowar. I believe they are 3 times Guinness Book of World Record holders for loudest band, breaking their own record each time. One of my favorite songs of theirs is "Carry On" and I HIGHLY recommend giving it a listen / reaction for it has deeply touched my soul and stayed with me. When it first came out, I was just graduating and getting into the military. While in the last stages of my A.I.T. training my grandmother passed away from cancer and I listened to this track over and over around the time of her funeral. It's message resonated so hard and helped me process. Hope you enjoy it!
I've always said that manowar were inspiration for the more bard and Viking metal styles. If you listen to a lot of their music the themes tend to be story telling and often of a Viking nature. They have also had elements of the ridiculous, as you see in the album art and some of the more ... "outlandish" lines they come up with lol. But it's always been high energy music to mosh too basically. And the stories are sometimes cool. Gloves of metal is one of my faves, and the line in hand of doom "I will hunt you down and tear you limb from limb, nothing shall remain, not your memory or name. It'll be as if you never ever lived" is just epic to sing along too. Which I find is a speciality of theirs, even though you two weren't a huge fan you still found buts you'd probably enjoy singing along too. That's in almost if not all their work. Check out masters of the wind by manowar for a completely polar opposite feel, much more about the story and the vocals than powerful rifts.
Eric Adams is the vocalist and yes he is incredible. That "Power and Dominion" line is a great demonstration of his vocal prowess and him "taking it to another level vocally" as you stated.
When I was younger boys used to listen to Manowar a lot ! I rediscover them now and I like the vocalist a lot ! "Stand and fight- born with a heart of steel" is motivational for me now :)
Manowar aren't s band to be taken too seriously. They're light hearted and fun. I think they know they're cheesy and that's the style they're going for.
Im laughing my ass off! I mean you just cant trust the audience some times. There are so many great songs by Manowar and the majority suggested THIS. To two guys that come from a totally different background. Lol. Its like the black sheriff character in Blazing Saddles lol. Ok Manowar were very big during the 80s because of their great vocals and powerfull music. And I mean powerfull in db. Dio had mainly fantasy themes. But where Dio was Lord of the Rings, Manowar were Savage Sword of Conan mixed with those italian barbarian b movies and the local biker club. They have moments of brilliance. And sometimes their epic niche really works. But also they have alot of clownish cheesy moments. All this macho stuff and posing should be taken with a truckload of salt, or else an unsuspected listener (of this day, cause back then people got the refferences right away) might think that crushed in some nazi party lol. Nevertheless Hail to England is probably one of the best metal albums ever created and Eric Adams certainly one of the best frontmen.
I mean he's not wrong. Hail & Kill is considered one of the seminal Manowar songs by most. The issue is Manowar, people either get like it or they don't.
Avantasia: The Scarecrow. You guys NEED to hear some Jorne Lande and a ton of other fantastic vocals on par with Manowar's Eric Adams. Please Please Please!!!!
Manowar - Mountains Manowar - March For Revenge (By the Soldiers of Death) Manowar - Secret Of Steel Manowar - Gates of Valhalla Manowar - Heart of Steel Manowar - Blood of my Enemies Manowar - Hatred all these songs are better in my list than Hail And Kill. MUCH BETTER
Love ManOwar! gotta go back to them! Check out Bridge of Death, its sick! Or Secret of Steel, Revelation, Blood of my Enemies, Mountains, but the most popular choice will probably be Battle Hymns. Also, check out some more Type O Negative. Black No 1 was their biggest hit, but they are so much better than that. Blood and Fire, Wolf Moon, Everyone I love is Dead, These Three Things, Christian Woman, anything... love you guys! keep thinking free brothers.

Much of their music revolves around Norse mythology, and they have later albums solely about it.
perfect synthesis..
Nailed It!
Yeah like what do expect for sweaty and bloodthirsty barbarians do with defenceless women. It's not called the dark age for nothing
Battle Hymn is by far the best Manowar song.
Hall of the mountain king-Savatage
YES!!! finally a man of culture, they really need to listen to it
ANYTHING SAVATAGE!!!
Savatage hall of the mountain king including the intro prelude to madness great power metal band
Savatage is such an important, incredibly underrated band! I'd also add "Gutter Ballet" and "When The Crowds are Gone" for starters :)
I also recommend Believe.
Yes,
I'd add St. Patrick, lyrically one of their best
amazing band but they are partially power metal at best. And they have sooo many songs that need to be reviewed :)
"May your sword stay wet like a young girl in her prime" is the funniest line in any metal song ever.
Helloween - Eagle Fly Free
Symphony X - Sea of Lies
Iced Earth - A Question of Heaven
A question of heaven for sure!!!
Rather hear them review Helloween - Where the Sinners Go or I Want out
Psychosis Media I think The Saints would be a good one for them to review too
YES Iced Earth! I have been requesting the song Burnt Offerings for 124 days straight on their twitter.
Where the Sinners go would be perfect. I also think Paint A New World is a great starting place
ICED EARTH- A QUESTION OF HEAVEN
Preach
Here in Brazil is the same.
There are some strange innocence to it tho. Like children.
I could see metal being more of a legit macho thing in third/second world countries, when I see western footage I almost only see skinny nerdy looking types being into it though.
Haha fucking awesome dude. Rock on !
We are your soldiers!
MANOWAR definitely has the approval of the METAL GODS. They truly are, *THE KINGS OF METAL!*
*\,,/👹\,,/*
Hail brother!!🤟
You can build a classic Manowar song with the following words: ring, king, hail, metal, kill, power, glory, loosers, winners, brothers and steel. Feel free to combine and you get any Manowar song.
Dont forget wimps and posers.
Not entirely, yes there are many of those but alot of Manowar was about historical conflict.
And..Black..Wind etc
@@Ryooken C'mon man, don't ruin it.
Ruin what? Cherokee is one of those historical songs that talk about battle.
Helloween - I want out
Oh please! If you ever do them again cover "Battle Hymn".
YES
The Lowk , absolutely agree. That’s their best one.
Great suggestion!
Live @ Earthshaker Fest 2005
Eric Adams is generally regarded as being one of the best singers in the history of metal. Right up there with Halford.
Lol..now thats funny...by " best" u mean horrible..?
An anti-Manowar troll. Leave the hall, poser!
You can find clips on UA-cam of Adams holding pitch perfect high note screams for 20-30+ seconds in LIVE performances. Never seen another singer that can do that in ANY genre.
Good, yes. One of the best? Not even
In the top 20
I'm guessing you're either not very familiar with Manowar or not very familiar with great metal singing.
Manowar is a big influence on power metal but they call themselves true metal. Review a group called edguy for power group song new age Messiah for some good lyrics and music
Fear factory...demanufacture. Iron maiden caught somewhere in time...two anthems of different types of metal
Iron Maiden- The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
THIS x1000000!
Like...the...best...Maiden...song...ever!
I love that song... I don't think they would. Based on their other opinions on Iron Maiden songs and longer songs, I don't think it would click with them.
UP
YES!!!
SAVATAGE - When the Crowds are Gone
Cheers!
david viteri I’ve been asking for this for a while!
One of my favorite songs of all time!!!!!!
mine as well
Yes, SAVATAGE!!!! Hall Of The Mountain King, Strange Wings, Gutter Ballet
Savatage is a MUST. They should do "Gutter Ballet", "When The Crowds Are Gone" or "Edge of Thorns" for sure! And then "Believe" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well.
Dead winter dead. The whole album.
Handful of Rain has some amazing songs as well.
The dungeons are calling, city beneath the surface
Demons and Wizards: Fiddler on the green
Ab sol fricken lutely!!
My fav song !!
You guys have evolved so far in terms of metal knowledge since you first started doing metal reactions. I'm constantly impressed by your dedication to music and how open minded you are, even when you don't like a track you can appreciate it for the art that it is. Keep em coming!!
I can't believe you guys finally did a Manowar song! Only the second reaction channel I've seen do one.
At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
I would love to see their reaction to this song. I know they said they're not fans of screaming vocals, but the vocals on this song (and album) he sounds so fucking pissed off.
Yes.
That whole album man! I love the older AtG stuff occasionally, but the production and occasionally intonation on it is so bad it is near unbearable. Those fucking violins on the world returned 🤮, but slaughter made the band one of the best things to ever happen to metal music.
Hell Yeaahh
Annihilator- Alison Hell/King of the kill
PHANTASMAGORIA, IN HELL
Alice in Hell is an all time thrash classic, I just hope they don't get all hung up on the vocals (which aren't good). Those guitar riffs are just pure metal greatness though
How about ANNIHILATOR - "Annihilator"? I bet they'd like the groove, but at the same time the song is a little repetitive so from a certain point of view this is even less accessible than "Alice". You need to know what Jeff is capable of to fully appreciate "Annihilator". Kind of hard to tell what is the best point of entry into Annihilator.
The vocals are perfect dude. The vocalist was a legend in my book
Speed , 21 , stonewall
"Blood of the Kings" from the same album would've been a better choice imo
MANOWAR is amazing! Absolutely amazing!
One of the best bands of all time!
Bridge of Death by Manowar. It's a masterpiece
The best Manowar song ever, and hes voice on that song..raw and natural. A masterpiece.
Manowar does not have a masterpiece, because it is the dumbest, the most self-centered and the most inundated band under the sun
Best metal song ever made
Warriors of the World was one my recent favorites. I loved Spirit Horse, Crown and the Ring, Blood of a King, Defender, Master of the Wind, Sons of Odin, Holy War and Die with Honor just to name a few.
I have to agree with other commenters... you guys will dig on Savatage. They're amazing, When the Crowds are Gone is my vote.
Dr. Strangelove I don’t know what we have to do to get this happening but I’m willing to do it!
Norse?? Scandinavian!!
Was that at metal fest at the convention Center in asbury Park
the machine No, it was at the Birch Hill in Old Bridge.
Manowar definitely started/pioneered the power metal genre.
That is why he is LEGENDARY Eric Adams, one of the top 5 heavy metal singer of all times. It is completely natural to blow your mind vocally!
If we forget about rock/hard rock and stick to pure metal and talent/voice capabilities/technique ONLY, then:
1-3. Ronnie James Dio = Rob Halford = Bruce Dickinson
4. Geoff Tate
5. Michael Kiske
Also:
Iced Earth - A Question of Heaven
Luca Turillis Rhapsody: Ascending To Infinity
Yeah Blood of my Enemies, agreed
Eric Adams!Best Heavy metal in the universe, next Manowar song:Guyana ...
ICED EARTH- Dante's inferno
We respect your opinions, keep reacting on Metal 😈
Xristos Pats hell yeah!!
They need to listen to alot of Iced Earth
Dude night of the stormrider was one of the best heavy metal albums ive ever heard. Iced Earth is extremely underrated. They lack a great lead guitarist but thats about it.
I think "burn offerings"LP it's their peak
Something Wicked is my fav
There is one song by Manowar that includes the titles of a number of their songs in the lyrics (Death Tone, March for Revenge, Sign of the Hammer, Blood of a King, etc). If you take those song titles, find those songs, and listen to them in the order they are listed in that song, in a bizarre way they end up telling a story.
Adam has one hell of a voice.
"Heart of Steel" and hold a note.
Hahaha you suggesting they review Achilles?
Thats like 30 minutes long isn't great multi-layer tune. But damn that would be a ling ass review
I like the ending, and do a folk version of it Tenacious D style.
Definitely time for you guys to listen to Savatage! One of our all time favorite guitar player Criss Oliva(RIP)
Manowar - Warrior's of the World!
Achilles, Agony and Ecstacy in eight parts
Manowar as far as I still know is the loudest band ever in the Guinness Book of World records. I wish you guys would've done Battle Hymn as I mentioned on the Melvin's reaction but how about some Helloween Keeper of the Seven Keys and make sure it's part 1. Thanks guys.
I agree with all of this! Manowar are the kings of metal after all. Tho its a shared title with the Likes of Dio and Priest
This is the most requested Manowar song? Genuinely surprised it's not Kings of Metal? Would love to see your reaction to the chorus. 😅
I'd have gone with Blood of the Kings, but this was a good choice for Manowar
Manowar is going to sound like Manowar no matter what lol, but this isn't my favorite song from them. Lots of better choices than this one in my opinion.
I was expecting pleasure slave tbh
I'm surprised it's not Warriors of the World United. They would *love* that song.
power metal manowar loudest band in the world. and eric adams the golden voice
I've only got one tattoo and it's ManOwaR's sign of the Hammer. Love ManOwaR!
Also to clarify ManOwaR is U.S. Powermetal/early powermetal
TRUE METAL OF STEEL! And if you don't like it... LEAVE THE HALL!
@@BorkBorkDoggoI have a Sign of the Hammer tattoo as well
Man O War holds the Guinness Book World Record for the longest concert and the loudest concert 5 hours and 1 minute long
Just to get a taste of the singer's vocal range, I'd suggest "Carry On"
Metal Church - "Date with Poverty" - a killer song with a real message that has a groove to die for.
ManOwaR - The Power Of Thy Sword
any manowar song
PANTERA - CEMETERY GATES | Best ballad ever!!!
YEEEESSSSSS!!! Manowar practically invented power metal(although it absolutely owes its existence to Iron Maiden hands down). Manowar is literally like a sledgehammer, no apologies.
You need to watch a live concert video...totally different experience. Incredible!!
Nice! You guys should try Rhapsody - Emerald Sword!!!
Emerald Sword is Amazing!
they need to hear more of power metal, they should hear rhapsody, stratovarius, epica, edguy, powerwolf, alestorm, and some japanese power metal bands
You guys should absolutely check this song out.
Galneryus!
Savatage: either hall of the mountain king or gutter ballet, to start with...
Duuuuude, Hall of the Mountain King is a totally underrated banger. You got my support.
Chris S. yes, underrated in a way but classic for the community! these are good intro-songs for the guys
Up
Or Believe, one of my all time favourite ballads :)
Agreed, Warriors Of The World is just about the best depiction of what Manowar is all about.
Manowar is ideal music to play old school Dungeons and Dragons to.
Good songs.
"Warriors of the World" is my personal favorite MANOWAR song...
PistolsScaramanga to truly appreciate Manowar, insert an icepick in your ears
MANOWAR - DEFENDER...
MANOWAR - WARRIORS OF THE WORLD.....
Pantera- Mouth for war
Into glory ride is almost entirely viking metal musically speaking, no one sounded like that at the time
Sleep- Dragonaut
Pantera- Cemetary Gates
You will not be disappointed.
"Sons of Odin" should be the only first Manowar song you listen to.
Totally agree
A great song!!
Please do some more Suicidal Tendencies - You Can't Bring Me Down
Yeah, it’s a great one. I’d like to hear them do Which way to free as well.
Hell yeah! Suicidal rules!
Classic ST would be good, but id like to see them do Livin for life just to react to those drum fills!
YES!!!
YES! Please
ManowaR is one of the best metal bands. They have his own style, with lyrics about old battles, power, armies, vikings. High quality music and voice.
Manowar aren't s band to be taken too seriously. They're light hearted and fun. I think they know they're cheesy and that's the style they're going for.
Totally agree
As far as I've been aware, they take themselves pretty damn seriously.
their fans love it.
they must act seriously it is the part of their image.
I think Eric takes everything seriously, but I'm not sure about the rest of the band.
@@stila1123 yes. But in person Joey has a very good sense of humor :-)
Be serious is part of Manowar image, it is their marketing style
Do some Fear Factory, guys! Extremely influential 90s band. Replica or Terminate
Self Bias Resistor!
HAIL AND KILL a live video from this song shows the whole energy of the band, the sea of people singing the chorus is a crazy ammount of energy
Manowar- black wind fire and steel
Great band different era. They are very underrated. They never became comercial or mainstream, but have a loyal following.
Seriously? Have you listened to their latest albums? Commercial as f... Manowar became posers :)
What are you getting at, Hail and Kill is definitely among the 15 best Manowar-songs
yeah ok lol
Wow Your taste in music is so superior, people should only listen to you...
I mean he's not wrong. Hail & Kill is considered one of the seminal Manowar songs by most. The issue is Manowar, people either get like it or they don't.
Actually the Crown and the Ring was one of their best.
Sepultura - Territory
Yeh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I was just about to say that... Give Sepultura another chance.. Territory would be a good call.. or maybe Refuse/Resist! SEPULTURA DO BRASIL!
Or do Inner Self. Another great Sepultura track.
Gojira actually covered Territory several times during their shows !!! and I know you love Gojira
Manowar's style is actually known as True Metal.
"True Metal" is not a style.

Avantasia: The Scarecrow. You guys NEED to hear some Jorne Lande and a ton of other fantastic vocals on par with Manowar's Eric Adams. Please Please Please!!!!
Yes one of my favorite songs by them. The Scarecrow is an absolute masterpiece
Also when you are ready to hear them again, listen "Blood of my Enemies".
also, Joey Demaio (their bassist and one of their lead songwriters) is LEGENDARY - worthy or speaking of in the same breath as Cliff Burton

Manowar - Mountains
Manowar - March For Revenge (By the Soldiers of Death)
Manowar - Secret Of Steel
Manowar - Gates of Valhalla
Manowar - Heart of Steel
Manowar - Blood of my Enemies
Manowar - Hatred

Dire Straights - Sultans of Swing (the live version)
YES this!
Love ManOwar! gotta go back to them! Check out Bridge of Death, its sick! Or Secret of Steel, Revelation, Blood of my Enemies, Mountains, but the most popular choice will probably be Battle Hymns.
