HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS CHILI BEANS
Ingredients:
1 lb. Pinto Beans
Salt Jowls or Ham Pieces
1/2 Cup Chopped Onions
1/2 Cup Chopped Bell Peppers
1 or 2 lbs. Ground Beef
2 small cans of Tomato Sauce
2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
1/2 Tablespoon Cumin
1/2 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1/2 Tablespoon Onion Powder
1/2 or 1 Tablespoon Sugar (optional)
Salt and Pepper to taste

Aaw, Miss June! We were blessed to have such lovely grandmothers...! ❤ I'll forever hold dear arriving at my paternal grandparents' and needing to walk all the way back to their garden. I have one picture of my grandma and me working in that magnificent Organic garden. And, a precious memory of my maternal grandmother was snapping peas on her front porch. I only got to do it once because I rarely got to see her. My mother died young, so we rarely got to see her until my big brother and I started driving! 😉😂❤ Precious, sweet memories! I've always used can bean, because it was quicker! Now that im retired i have more time, so i went with dry pinto beans. It was great and the dry beans were cheaper than bushes can beans!!!

So many "cooking" videos today are for "meals" that are super easy, dump and go, 5 minute, etc, etc. There is a place for such things when time is extremely limited. But it seems we live in a world right now where too many parents are self absorbed instead of properly focused on the wellbeing of their children.

Thank you for sharing. This took me way back. My Mother would cook Chili Beans for us when I was growing up. It was one of my favorite meals. She made it the same way as you. She also made a good Chili, so we (as kids) knew the difference.

I love chili beans.
I mash them, then roll them in corn tortillas with shredded pepper jack cheese. Either pan spray them, or brush very lightly with oil. Bake them until brown. Best taquitos ever!
