In 2013, Jayson Carter did something unimaginable. At only 4'9" and just over 130 pounds, he actually played in a division 1 college football game. Now this is amazing, but his story is even better.

Great video and thanks for the Sproles mention/shoutout. Love that guy to death gave him the nickname "Warhorse" this past season because he plays the game the way it should be played and left it all on the field. So glad even with him getting injured early in the season he got a Super Bowl ring and I'm looking forward to his return this coming season even if it's in a limited capacity with Corey "Darren Sproles Jr" Clement now on the rise for the Eagles.

Seeing this truly inspiring, I remember in high school hearing about this guy. It really motivated me to keep playing football. I was 4’9 in 8th grade, and people around me kept telling me to quit and go back to soccer; because I was good at it. However, football has been in my family for many generations. I played it for my brother, my father, my grandfather, and my great grandfather. There was something about the sport I just fell in love with. I put in a lot of time and effort, and my senior year I was 5’9 185 pounds, team captain and starting center and defensive end. I was very fortunate to have coaches believing in me and my family. I would love to play college football one day, but I was recruited for college lax. However, one day I’m going to try for a college football team. Just to say I did and I was the first one in my family to ever give it a shot. So people reading this, please go for it! It doesn’t matter the size if you have the heart, willing to get stronger, and putting in the work. You’ll be surprised of how fast you’ll change. Football has been very good to me, with life lessons and all. I hope it does the same for you. Also KTO, you’re the man with these great football videos.

It's definitely a shame that it's not possible anymore. The more the size and shape of your body matter, the less it is about skill. I remember when I did the high jump as a kid - the best ones were the ones that worked hard and had impeccable technique (ok, I'll admit it, it was mostly me and I'm bragging). Then puberty hit. Some stayed at 5'7", some shot up to 6'5". Suddenly it wasn't about skill anymore but who had the luck of being tall.
