Fantastic! I have the first 12 pieces of my first Voron assembled (frame) and I'm already thinking tool changer. This one is the best I've seen. Watching with great interest!
The slicer things you described are actually possible via print modifier objects. It’s a bit of a pain in the butt, but it’s definitely possible with a tool change setup.
@@vinny5915 I wanted to ask about something a little different: what happens if you turn on the printer with one of the heads already attached? Does clipper on this system has ability to detect if head already attached?
@@vinny5915 Oh. Sorry. It is all my bad english. I mean you have a printer with 4 toolheads connected. Printer is off. Head #3 is attached to shuttle. Heads #1, #2 are in the dock. What happens when printer is powered on ? Can it detect if head #3 is on shuttle ? With magnet or something ? Or you should issue a command to put it to the dock?
Thanks for the video! Was interested in following on the progress, but I also procrastinated and waited for a comprehensive video, which we now have!

Thanks. I will look into that.
Or you could load as different parts of a single object, iirc you can set up per object wall and infill parameters.
That’s also a viable option, but only possible in certain cases. It becomes pretty difficult to do with some else’s STL
Great job. Do share yr experience using both can and usb. In terms of performance, reliability, issues etc. Am interested to know their comparison
Might it work with a (possibly modified) Sovol SV08?
How does your toolchange system determine which head is installed and whether it is installed at all (after turn on)?
Each tool has its own config file. And the klipper add-ons will allow it to toggle between [include] either all tools or just T0 into printer.cfg.

No. You will have to edit the printer.cfg to have the toolhead to be recognised.

Do you suppose possibly maybe after the beta you would release a kit for it??
