That's not true friend. A guy in Greece i know,is a taxi driver and has a mercedes S400 cdi 03 model.He told me that,apart from the regular maintanance, everything is like new in the car.The car has now around 900000 kms with the original engine and gearbox and still going strong! ;) Ride quality is unmatched and the power from the V8 cdi is legendary!

only issue is the EGR valve which makes the car limp sometimes, i love to see it deleted so the car doesnt limp at all

To my understanding, they where never made available to the U.K market. I am yet to come across one. (for sale, on the street, at the stealerships, you name it.)

Hey Dude, i have same car, same engine. Thinking about chipping up to 300HP. Did you upgrade the gearbox or is it stock? Engine has still lots of space for upgading even more than 300 HP but gearbox is a quastion mark. Hope this is not too old :)
the 5g is great, but the 7g cant handle alot of power
Late reply here, but if Im not mistaken, the gearbox (722.6) can take 1000 Nm of torque.

I am still amazed by the fuel consumption by full throtle...! Does your board computer funktion properly? what the economy when it´s on a cruise control??!

Se supone 300 CV....se lo pondré al mío.
i have the same w220 and also tuned. now i have 305 HP and 669 NM but all the time wheelspin. i have 285 35 r19 tires and no grip at the first gear, to powerful!? why you dont have wheelspin?^^ i loose a lot of time from 0-100km/h because of wheelspin

Not very, I have W220, and I was thinking about that engine, but it has more problems than I expect, the turbo's run off to quickly. Funny thing is that I finished looking for a model and I end up with M275, and happy with it.
