I think it really sucks how negatively she feels about the Sam character. To Jennette she was a goofy character screaming about fried chicken, but i always thought it was refreshing to see the blonde girl that didnt have to have perfect manners and always stood up for herself.

At that age she wasn't supposed to be that kind of person, she was supposed to be a kid. it was her parents job to be the breadwinners. Acting can be a dangerous and manipulative environment for kids. All that happens is they are surrounded by greed, deprivation, and inappropriate situations. Eventually, they forget what it's like being a kid and never actually experience a real childhood. Acting is not essentially made for kids and people should know this. So, Jennette has every right to not perform as that obnoxious character. Btw, this is my opinion and if no one agrees with this, so be it. STAY SAFE EVERYONE.
Jennette doesn’t really mention her dad so I’m assuming he wasn’t really in her life.
Jennette McCurdy is amazing at acting and it’s so sad that she had such a traumatic experience in the industry but I feel like now she is able to work on projects she actually will feel comfortable doing and she can show the world how great she is!
Long story short,
Jennette’s mother wanted her to act, so she did. Her mother recently passed, so she decided to retire from acting and follow other things she wanted to do.
Jennette deserves the best in life, and I respect her for living her dream

Another thing of which is wrong in this video is that he said that it has been 10 years since "iCarly" last aired, when in fact, 2012 was only 9 years ago. He also said that Jennette McCurdy starred on "iCarly" from 2012 to 2017, when in fact, she starred as Sam Puckett on "iCarly" from 2007 to 2012.
Miranda nor Nathan bullied her. It was her mother. It's because she died. Her mom forced her to be an actor. She reveals that she was embarrassed by her work and will not return in the iCarly reboot for that reason. I'm upset bc Jennette is my favorite actor.

Personally I respect Jennette for her decision and for acting as long as she did to support her family. I loved watching both iCarly and Sam and Cat. Sam was my favorite character and the one I could relate to, so I am sad that she isn't returning for the reboot, but as the shows producer said it's her choice.
I don't blame her the law & order episode It broke my heart & I hated that show ever since because it made me think of most child stars that has spoken out about the on going abused & I thought about how just this role is a form of abuse... As a rape survivor from 4-5yrs old I thought how the hell does she as a child process that role w/ that dark reality of real life monsters of the word that most parents protect/sheltered their children from....
