@@jadehedglin1430some moms just don't care about their children or they care about other things way more. These could be some possible reasons why she left. It's the same reason as why dads leave. Moms can be just like those absentee dad's too.
So Carly's mom bailed out on Carly, Spencer, and Mr. Shay? That explains a lot. Glad we finally got a backstory, and it's great that Carly (and Spencer) turned out so much better.
And the way I see it, dad basically bailed to by running away to the military. Spencer took on responsibilities that he never should have had to. I think that's why he loved hanging out with Carly and her friends so much, and helping with ICarly so much, Carly was getting older and somewhat independent and he was getting to live the teen years he never got to.
As someone who also had their mom walk out of their life out of nowhere, I relate to Carly a lot, like having your older brother essentially also be your dad. People always stereotype the dad as the one who leaves the family, but people forget the mom can do that too.
It’s less expected I guess, u figure it’s harder for most mothers to do that to something they literally created, yes I know how sperm works (I’m a guy) but planting a seed vs birthing something….. it’s not hard to do the math on which gives the bigger emotional investment And when that isn’t enough for the parent to stick around, which one hurts worse?
Unfortunately mothers walkin’ out on their children happens more then you think. Some women don’t have hearts and they leave because they don’t want the responsibility anymore which is kinda messed up in my opinion
It also makes so much sense to why Carly never fully committed to any relationship, also adds a new layer to her friendship with Sam who also had an neglecting mother and why Carly so desperately pushed for Sam to get along with her Mother in that one episode.
Now it makes more sense why Carly and Sam became friends. They were both abandoned by their parents and leaned on each other. Sam didn’t have a dad and Carly didn’t have a mom and her dad was always overseas.
I always wondered why they were friends...it definitely makes more sense now seeing as they both had an absent parent and a barely ever there parent. Spencer kind of became the third parents for Carly and the surrogate parent for Sam.
They have a lot of other things in common tho, like and they really complement each other well. Also, Freddie has once mentioned his dad in the original. That his dad also left his mum.
I love scenes like this between Spencer and Carly. They help to remind the viewer that even he raised her, and they're both adults now, they're brother and sister first, and they have a shared history and bond that they'll never have with anyone else.
I love that this revival handles difficult issues. Speaking from having similar parental issues, Carly’s reaction is pretty realistic. Spencer has also been so amazing this season to Carly and Freddie. Creddie is also giving me major Mondler vibes. Like this parallels the season 5 finale of Friends. Please please give us a season 4! It can’t end this way.
This show has been fantastic especially season 3. It's been so amazing seeing Spencer and Carly talk as adults after Spencer basically raised Carly in the first series. He's not only a brother but a father figure to her, and he always friendly and empathetic when she needs something. It's been so wonderful seeing a new side of Spencer in this series, he was always my favorite and still makes me laugh every week. All of this and Freddie/Carly's relationship has made this my favorite show lately, I BEG you Paramount give us season 4
16 years later and we finally hear about Carly & Spencer’s mom. Hearing Carly talk about her mom, realizing why the idea of marriage stresses her out, is because she’s worried she might do the same thing to Freddie, like her mom did to her, Spencer and their dad. I’m guessing her mom either walked out on them, or cheated on their dad and walked out on them.
This explains a lot why Carly struggled with relationships all throughout the OG series and the revival. Her mother's abandonment left so many fears and scars on her, it made it really hard to romantically commit no matter how much she tried, so all those relationships eventually ended. Now with Freddie, Carly was finally able to get past a lot of her fears and insecurities and perhaps deep down she always knew that once she would allow herself to fall for Freddie, she would be all in as would he. If they got together, it would be forever and they just pretty much confirmed it. Now I really hope she'll be able to get some closure regarding her mother in S4, whether they keep staying out of each other's lives or they stay in touch. She knows by now that she'll always have a family in Spencer and Freddie, as well as the rest of her loved ones.
It's sad now because many people bashed at Carly for 'not reciprocating feelings for Freddie' but now we see, it wasn't on her own accord, she actually had attachment issues especially after the scar of her mum😔
icarly really still is that show after 16 years. from the big bro taking on the responsibility of raising his younger sister, to addressing past childhood trauma. not to mention the underlying plots like sam’s past and freddie’s overprotective mother. gosh i love it here

Carly's so scared to lose Freddie since the OG because of her mom's abandonment. The first example I can think of is how she freaked out when she heard about Sam and Freddie's first kiss. She always goes angsty when she thinks that she can lose Freddie.
So Carly's reason to overcome is Freddie. I'll go ahead and predict this, from what I've heard about this season...for Spencer, it's being a father to whatever of his...unknown children..wander into his life needing him.
Spencer being like this: "Carly, look, I may not know a lot of things, but I know you more than anyone. And I can't imagine you abandoning Freddie, the same way our mom abandoned us." Love it

They can’t and the shell like that was a huge cliffhanger. After all the stuff I have a leak in the original series in all the stuff that’s happening now they can’t end it like that there needs to be more.
I was in shock after watching this last episode. Literally every ending of each season in this revival has gone better and better. This has to be the biggest cliffhanger so far. After for so long wondering about Carly's mom, we now know that she's going to be part of hopefully a Season 4!! There's so many questions from Season 3 that need to be answer for Season 4! Carly and Freddie are going to be endgame for next season if they ended up getting married or not!
You know it just made me realize another thing that I feel should happened in Season 4 in iCarly, whenever they confirmed it. Since S3 ended with Carly and Spencer’s mom showing up at the wedding, that this could also lead Carly & Freddie to a more deeper connection, for Freddie to also talk about his Dad. Why I thought of that theory, is because just like Carly, Freddie NEVER once mentioned anything about his Dad, and I feel that like this cliffhanger will develop Creddie towards a much deeper connection for them to understand each other about one of their parents abandoning them. For Carly, Her Mom. For Freddie, his Dad It just makes so much sense don’t you think?
We need a season 4, to actually see how the mom will explain to Carly and Spencer why she was gone so long. I’d like to see Spencer be serious and tell his mom, how he had to filled in the role as a parent because she wasn’t there to take care of them. I’d like to see how Carly is comforted by Freddy throughout all of this.
Like Dean in Supernatural when he confronted Mary in the dream space. Spencer could explain how he had to be not only a older brother but a mother and a father to keep Carly safe and cared for since their father was always deployed most their life and she was gone
i want to see how carly and spencer react to their mom tracking them down. Ofc they didn't look too happy to see her but their full reactions ofc weren't shown cause of the cliffhanger
OMG after 16 years Carly finally talks about her mom and now…. That Cliffhanger, OMG is right we need at least a season 4 and Season 5 hope it happens once everything cools down
I’m so glad that Carly mentioned her mom for the first time I’ve been waiting since the original iCarly I know in the original she goes to Italy with her dad in the final episode before leaving Spencer. I remember there was a time where she almost left Spencer to be with her grandpa, which is sad, but then he let her stay with him Carly mentioning her mom is so cool and honestly that’s pretty surprising
I'm glad we finally know what happened to Carly's Mom and she was finally mentioned. This might be a little off topic but: When is Freddie ever going to Mention his Dad?
I’ve always had a theory since I was younger that maybe Freddie’s Dad died in a freak accident and that’s why Mrs Benson is so overprotective and scared of what could happen to Freddie.
Spencer is like the mom and the dad all in one he gives her advice when she needs it he always helped her through anything and when ever she needs him he is there for her

We need a season 4. You cannot leave us with this cliffhanger. We’ve waited years for our beloved childhood show to have a happy ending. I want us to see Carly’s mom, Creddie getting married and have babies, and Sam returns one last time.
You know ever since I heard about the revival a few years ago I had a feeling at some point during the series Carly and Spencer would address what really happened with their mom, I just would have never guessed that she would show up as soon as Carly and Freddie are about to get married. That makes me happy because we’ll finally get to see what she looks like and find out why she abandoned them in the first place, but it also really upsets me because Carly was soooo happy in that moment about to marry her best friend and the love of her life and now that moment is crushed because her mom shows up after all these years. :(
Huh, I thought in the first season they just made it as a meta joke since they did that before in a different show but this is actually pretty cool that they're using that as something Carly absolutely refuses to face or talk about
The only time Carly's mom was ever mentioned before this was in a DVD Extra by Spencer. He was questioned directly about where his mom was, and he replied, "I don't know. Probably out shopping." My theory is that their mom spent a bunch of money, money that the family didn't have, and was literally feeding her shopping addiction, so much so that it mattered more than her children. Because of this, she left, leading Spencer to become Carly's guardian.
I haven’t seen all the episodes, so this shocked me because I thought Carly’s mom and dad were married off-screen and just way too absent. Like, wow. This adds a layer.
Growing up with iCarly, I always wondered what happened to her mom. It was never mentioned what happened to her. Based on how Spencer talked about her, I assumed that she left the family, but it could be something else.
If we get a season 4 we’ll probably also learn about Freddie’s dad. My guess it will be that his dad got sick and died when he was young which would explain mrs benson being overprotective about his health and why Freddie moved quickly in his past romantic relationships.
If Carly and Spencer's mom does show up, let's hope Spencer scolds her for whatever she did and that he practically raised Carly himself when their dad was away in the air force.
I just started the ep and I paused because I can't believe what I read in the title....they're finally going to talk about carly's mom....I can't believe it bro....I love this revival.
It's about time they finally revealed what happened to Carly and Spencer's mom, Just like many others I theorized that she either died or she just run out on them.
i was all in tears so happy waiting for that moment only for it to be cut short so quick..... i really hope there will be a season 4 cant be messing with my childhood emotions here!

the way that Carly and Freddie kissed- you can tell the chemistry that they have together both as characters AND as co-workers. The way Carly and Freddy kiss and show emotion to one another is a lot more natural than Sam’s character with Freddy. And I LOVED Jennete McCurdy, don’t get me wrong, but you could tell Sam and Freddy’s characters weren’t meant to be together. It just seemed like the show writers wanted to add a huge plot twist and that’s what they went with on a whim, and while Sam and Freddy were cute, it was never natural. Nathan and Miranda definitely have way more chemistry both as characters and as co-workers so it just seems like they’re a lot more comfortable with each other than Jenette and Nathan were.

Why I thought of that theory, is because just like Carly, Freddie NEVER once mentioned anything about his Dad, and I feel that like this cliffhanger will develop Creddie towards a much deeper connection for them to understand each other about one of their parents abandoning them. For Carly, Her Mom. For Freddie, his Dad
It just makes so much sense don’t you think?
We need a season 4, to actually see how the mom will explain to Carly and Spencer why she was gone so long. I’d like to see Spencer be serious and tell his mom, how he had to filled in the role as a parent because she wasn’t there to take care of them. I’d like to see how Carly is comforted by Freddy throughout all of this.
Like Dean in Supernatural when he confronted Mary in the dream space. Spencer could explain how he had to be not only a older brother but a mother and a father to keep Carly safe and cared for since their father was always deployed most their life and she was gone
@@jonnystorm3127 I agree
i want to see how carly and spencer react to their mom tracking them down. Ofc they didn't look too happy to see her but their full reactions ofc weren't shown cause of the cliffhanger
After 16 Years, we finally know now!
This show deserves a Season 4!! #SaveiCarly
This was one of the absolute best episodes of the series. We need season 4!!
ok so iguess i gutta watch
new
iCarly
(season 3. mostly)
Carly: Your trauma is more fun than mine.
I loved this scene, it's about time they brought up Carly's and Spencer's mom
I'm glad we finally know what happened to Carly's Mom and she was finally mentioned. This might be a little off topic but: When is Freddie ever going to Mention his Dad?
I’ve always had a theory since I was younger that maybe Freddie’s Dad died in a freak accident and that’s why Mrs Benson is so overprotective and scared of what could happen to Freddie.
I wanna know about Freddie's dad, too
@@justjoannak cool
What if his dad perhaps did the same thing her mom did 😢😮
I think his dad left him too
After 16 years we finally know about her mom.
Spencer is like the mom and the dad all in one he gives her advice when she needs it he always helped her through anything and when ever she needs him he is there for her
Carly, I never knew how personal talking about your mother.
I guess according to that scence, Carly's and Spencer's mom left the family
@@alina9277woah.
Incredible! Amazing finale. Please give us a new season with more episodes than just 10.

I already was renewed we just have to wait awhile because of the writers and the actors going on strike
@@mayflower7811 when icarly reboot was renewed for season 4
@@mayflower7811hopefully not a year that's just top long
We need a season 4. You cannot leave us with this cliffhanger. We’ve waited years for our beloved childhood show to have a happy ending. I want us to see Carly’s mom, Creddie getting married and have babies, and Sam returns one last time.
Don't forget gibby
Yeah I doubt that last one is ever gonna happen
Well you got your wish Icarly was renewed for season 4
Sorry to say but Jeannette has been adamant that she will never under any circumstances ever return to the role
Sam is never coming back, but a Gibby return would be awesome. Wonder what Noah is doing these days?
You know ever since I heard about the revival a few years ago I had a feeling at some point during the series Carly and Spencer would address what really happened with their mom, I just would have never guessed that she would show up as soon as Carly and Freddie are about to get married. That makes me happy because we’ll finally get to see what she looks like and find out why she abandoned them in the first place, but it also really upsets me because Carly was soooo happy in that moment about to marry her best friend and the love of her life and now that moment is crushed because her mom shows up after all these years. :(
Huh, I thought in the first season they just made it as a meta joke since they did that before in a different show but this is actually pretty cool that they're using that as something Carly absolutely refuses to face or talk about
Spencer being the brother Carly really needs.
The Carly and Freddie scene made me happy cry 🥹
The only time Carly's mom was ever mentioned before this was in a DVD Extra by Spencer. He was questioned directly about where his mom was, and he replied, "I don't know. Probably out shopping."
My theory is that their mom spent a bunch of money, money that the family didn't have, and was literally feeding her shopping addiction, so much so that it mattered more than her children. Because of this, she left, leading Spencer to become Carly's guardian.
That was Jerry Trainor getting interviewed as himself, not as Spencer.
I haven’t seen all the episodes, so this shocked me because I thought Carly’s mom and dad were married off-screen and just way too absent. Like, wow. This adds a layer.
Spencer’s that type of brother where no matter how sad or serious the topic or situation is, he uses his humor to light the mood up.
This was totally unexpected. Now it all makes sense why they never brought up their mother in the original show.
Growing up with iCarly, I always wondered what happened to her mom. It was never mentioned what happened to her. Based on how Spencer talked about her, I assumed that she left the family, but it could be something else.
I love that they kept the laugh track for the show. Brings back nostalgia
Carly Mom, Mrs. Puff Husband … Real childhood mysteries 😂😂🤯🤯
We know where Mr. Puff is, he’s a lamp. She doesn’t like to talk about it
He’s in Shell City.
If we get a season 4 we’ll probably also learn about Freddie’s dad. My guess it will be that his dad got sick and died when he was young which would explain mrs benson being overprotective about his health and why Freddie moved quickly in his past romantic relationships.
This was crazy. I really hope we have a Season 4. 😫😫❤❤🔥🔥
Out of all the relationships on iCarly, Carly and Spencer's has always been my favorite
It’s about time they reveal what happened to Carly and Spencer’s mom. I thought the day would never come.
Carly's mom sounds selfish
Whatever the reason, ditching your kids is not okay. Spencer stepped up to the plate and he's the best brother
If Carly and Spencer's mom does show up, let's hope Spencer scolds her for whatever she did and that he practically raised Carly himself when their dad was away in the air force.
Yes! Carly is finally talking about what happened to her mom.
I just started the ep and I paused because I can't believe what I read in the title....they're finally going to talk about carly's mom....I can't believe it bro....I love this revival.
Paramount better renew them. They have been the best come back show I've seen so far.
It's about time they finally revealed what happened to Carly and Spencer's mom, Just like many others I theorized that she either died or she just run out on them.
Spencer has really stepped up in the reboot. Way more then the original in my opinion.
After all these years ❤
ITS ABOUT TIME CARLY'S MOM GETS MENTIONED!!
I know she's sad about her mom, it's making me sad and cry..
So much for actually revealing her. Why did it have to end on a cliffhanger!? Couldn’t it at least reveal her first or at least finish season 3??
or air one more episode picking up where the previous one left off
I LOVE these two! One of the best fake siblings ever!
Freddie had one of the biggest glowups I've ever seen in my life.
Now it all makes sense their Mom left them I don’t understand how a woman could leave her kids behind
i was all in tears so happy waiting for that moment only for it to be cut short so quick..... i really hope there will be a season 4
cant be messing with my childhood emotions here!
I really hope we get further analyzation on Carly and Spencer’s mom because when I watch this episode last night I was shook
A. We need more info about "What mom did"
B. Now what happened to Freddie's dad?
🐝🐝🐝
And sams dad
@@gabrielsouto5869sams dad is mentioned multiple times but sam doesn't know where he is but clearly he left the cause in "ipartywithvictorius" when sam is trying to find proof that Steven is cheating on carly,Carly says "he told me I'm one of a kind" sam than replies with "yea, and my dad once told my mom he was coming back"
freddies dad left i guess because his mom is crazy
I thought maybe his dad died and maybe had alot of money he left them because of how much he once talked about something costing $900 and back in the 00's that was expensive.
Wow….never would’ve guessed she would talk about her mom
Finally after 16 year Carly is talking about her mom
Carly and Spencer really remind me of myself and my older brother. We’ve been there for each other 😭
Same here. My brother and I also have conversations like this since we have a dad who did something similar to us and it’s what makes us so close, he’s literally my best friend
Please make season 4. Need more creddie
the way that Carly and Freddie kissed- you can tell the chemistry that they have together both as characters AND as co-workers.
THIS. ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
I was literally thinking about how cool it would if the revival should address Carly's mother about a week ago. Did not expect it to happen here.
Dear executives,
Give the writers what they want so that the strike can end and we can get our favorite shows renewed, including season four of iCarly.
It's the writers and SagAfra… anyone in the union who works during the strike or does promo events gets kicked out.
I actually love this being the back story it explains so much and just makes you love Spencer even more
After all these years. We finally know what happened to Carly's mom.
Now, about what the goat did...
For years, i always thought their mom had died before the events of the show. I never expected this to be the explanation
Same
Can we talk about how gorgeous Mrs. Benson looked in her wedding dress?
The questions about their mom will now never get answers.
Unless they are secretly planning a special or movie down the line.
