I have the version one with their first UV lid, it lasted for years and only died after I accidentally left it in the car on a roadtrip to the Grand Canyon in the summer when my family and I hiked down the canyon and the heat fried the electronics. I bought another lid since I’d go to register it to be covered by warranty when I’d bought it (you can purchase lids separately) and kept using the body. The body is 6 years old now, no issues other than minor damage to the color from being dropped on concrete. And my newer white one I bought a few years ago is going strong too.
Heads up, the Brumate lids commonly stop working, which explains the straw now completely lowering. If you reach out to their support they’ll send you a replacement lid in case you want to continue using that bottle at some point!
Thanks for sharing that! Looks like it’s an issue with the Brumate lids. I’ll have to contact their support team. Appreciate the info and you watching! 🤙🏼
I've had the first purvis and was thinking of preordering this but I dislike the filter cuz I don't think it's necessary and having to buy it every couple months sucks. Will it work without the filter?
Boujee indeed!! Could have used this last weekend while hiking at Lassen NP. Is it dishwasher safe with all that tech? Cause I’m like you…I’m lazy to wash my water bottles by hand and just throw them in the dishwasher with the disinfect setting. Now only if I can strap my bottle to my bmx. Mahalo for sharing. 🤙🤙🤙
I got the bigger 34 oz bottle just because I wanted something to hold more water. They have a 23 oz version too that would probably be easier to take around with you. Thanks for the comment and for watching! 🤙🏼
@@cruisinginthe808 oh yeah you guys have a other measure. The one you got is the 1 litter. Does it get too heavy? Its a hard decision tho as the price difference aint big .
I donʻt think it is recommended for hot water. I could have sworn I saw something somewhere about it but in looking at the website and the product page, I canʻt seem to find it. Because of the electronics in the cap, I would not recommend using it for hot water myself. Not sure how the filter would do in hot water either. Sorry, I wish I could give you a more exact answer!
@@cruisinginthe808 thank you so much for taking the time to answer. I’ve looked on the website and google myself but couldn’t find anything about it either. It does make sense what you’re saying. I guess it’s only the older version which is suitable for hot drinks when you choose the insulated option.

Great survival kit
Looks like it won't fit in a standard bike bottle cage. They should make one if they don't already!
This one is too big but they do make a smaller one that could I think! Thanks for watching another one my friend! 🤙🏼

Yep, you can remove the straw completely or keep the straw in but not use a filter. Works both ways! Thanks for the comment and for watching!! 🤙🏼
@@cruisinginthe808 Thanks for the quick reply. That's great! can't wait to receive mine

the bottle is dishwasher safe, the top piece with the uv led in it isn‘t.
The bottle yes, lid no. All the tech is in the lid. You can use a scrubber made for straws to clean the original one - not sure on this one yet. 😊
Great review
💯 👍😎 review Kevin! New MONZA 27.5 LOOKS DOPE 😍💯
It does and weʻre getting an early one to test out so stay tuned! 🤙🏻

Is the purevis 2 also for hot water?
