Gotta love that timing haha. I've never been a huge fan of the popular Stanley tumblers, but that's just my opinion and a ton of people love them. Would be interested to hear what you think. I also am curious to try out their IceFlow version since that looks like it fixes some of the things I'm not crazy about with their main tumbler. Either way though, as long as your bottle gets you drinking more water, it's a good bottle!

@@bottlepro3252I ordered a Stanley tumbler because I really wanted something big that's easy to drink out of at home. I think for my needs (having something on my desk I can easily grab and drink from) it's perfect. Doesn't have to be Stanley to be fair but I went for it because there's all kinds of after market accessories and parts for it too, plus they have a lifetime warranty which I like.
For on the go (mainly for running/walking) I actually am considering buying the eco vessel thanks to your videos.

@@bottlepro3252The reason I went with the Stanley is because I wanted a bottle to drink around the house since that's where I work, and a tumbler just seemed like the best option since it's the easiest to just pick up and drink. I think it'll fit my needs. Admittedly it could have been a tumbler from another brand but I like that Stanley has a good warranty and is easy to get after market parts and accessories for given its popularity.
For on-the-go I'm actually considering the eco vessel because of your videos. I think it'll be perfect for my use case which is walks/runs.

Owala is the best! Easiest to clean over any brand. The carrying handle isn't the best but once you're used to it doesn't even feel like you're carrying anything! Also, they have the best color way, best sip/chug in 1 design mechanism. It has a mouth cover so it keeps it away from debris and all it takes is push of a button to open it. It is the most convenient bottle I have ever used but seriously though it only takes but 3 minutes to disassemble, clean all parts and put back together which is the main thing that sold me. I can even put juice, coffee, or sodas as long as I clean it afterwards it's amazing I highly recommend,

I bought an Owala and it's OK, but I find I'm not using it that much. The combined straw/chug lid feels like an awkward compromise that doesn't work perfectly for either thing. I mentioned this on another video but I prefer lids that pop open with a button. I'm currently trying a Thermos brand I got at Target. I have an old Thermos made for hot drinks that still works well after about 20 years. I might keep the Owala to use in the car since it does have a straw (even if it's not a very good one).

Question from a Insulated Stainless Steel Cup/Bottle collector.
seems like there is no listing for fully-stainless steel jugs, as all the caps seem to be plastic in some parts(excluding the copper one)
is there no version of insulated water bottles with full metal caps?
Been finding an answer to this question, as I have this wierd Murphy's Law where I put the bottle on the table, accidentally hit it, the bottle miraculously lands on the lid, and the lid just cracks open due to the water in it. been trying to find a full-metal lid to solve this issue

Hey great content on your channel! I really like the Healthy Human ones they are priced well and all stainless lid as well, do you have any suggestions for a single walled stainless steel water bottle, similar lid options to the Healthy Human line? Steel lined lid sounds like a great idea so there's minimal plastic. I do really like my Stanley with the straw lid and top carry handle but just want something smaller, like a 20-22 ounce size that fits in the cup holders in my car a little nicer and more slim and lighter weight than a double walled insulated. Thanks for making these videos, it's a very niche topic for sure lol.

Klean Kanteen's usually a pretty good option. They can be a little tricky to find on Amazon, but here are two that seem like they might work:
      Reflect series with bamboo lid
      www.kleankanteen.com/collections/all/products/plastic-free-water-bottle-27oz
      Updated singlewall with loop cap
      www.kleankanteen.com/collections/non-insulated-water-bottles/products/water-bottle-wide-mouth-27-oz
FYI, I have their old loop cap for their single-walls, and mine has steel under the lid. I don't have their newer one from this listing. But when I reached out to Klean Kanteen earlier this year, they confirmed their updated loop caps still have steel under them. I wish they showed it better in the pictures, and I'm basing that recommendation off their response.
Looks like they're both just under 3" diameter, and that should fit in a bunch of cup holders. It'd be good to measure yours to double-check though since they're all different.
      Hope this helps!

    • @bottlepro3252
      @bottlepro3252  4 місяці тому +2

Probably FJ personally. That seems to be the one I find myself going back to most often when not deliberately testing another bottle. The strap is such a simple add-on that makes the bottle easier to carry different places even when your hands are full, and they made it in a way that it's pretty seamless with the bottle so it doesn't get in the way when you don't need it. Plus it's a little cheaper. The opening could be a touch wider and I'd be happy, but it's not a huge deal.

I really want a bottle that lets me chug faster and is around the 20$ mark. I ordered a camelbak chute mag since it looks like it has a nice, sizeable spout, but seeing so many people talk about the ripping lid (that plastic hinge is so impractical), I am worried about the longevity so I've been hovering over the cancel button. Ive owned a takeya for a few years (until it got confiscated by tsa when I forgot to empty it, hence why im here). I found that, even though its celebrated for its lid, I never really liked chugging with it. I want a lifetime bottle that chugs well. Since you have both, I know you said the fjbottle has a smaller spout which is the only reason I haven't purchased it yet, but I'd like to know what you think! Also I saw another video which showed the fjbottle had poor water flow as it doesnt have an air hole, and it showed. Does the fj chug well? The chute mag?

The chute mag is perfect for chugging. The plastic hinge is a weak spot for sure, but unless you drop the bottle while the cap is open it can last for a long time. My main issue with the cap is actually that it retains odours and even with constant cleaning i could feel some kind of musty smell whenever i'd drink from it, might be just me though.

Either one would be a good choice, but if you're looking for something for routine everyday use, then Camelbak is always a decent choice for the money. Their plastic hinged spout cap is not my favorite design, but it's still not a bad bottle. And when getting an everyday-use bottle, having a chug or straw lid is always good in my opinion. Easier sipping with fewer spills.
But if you hike a lot, then Trail series might be better becase it's so lightweight.
      Hope this helps!

I haven't yet, but I've seen a lot of people asking about them. I'm curious about them too so I'll probably be buying a few ceramic bottles to test out sooner rather than later.

Would love a comparison on water bottles that have straws. I do not like having to unscrew a lid to drink and always use reusable straws. ⚠️ Edit ⚠️ Not the built in hard straws that flip up. I don’t use those either. Lol

I'm personally more about functionality and price, but a lot of people absolutely view branding and popularity as a major factor to consider when buying a bottle.
