I also really recommend Somnium Files games the new games from the same developers. In my opinion Somnium Files series even better than Zero escape. They effortlessly made best detective story ever.
That is... an *insane* overexaggeration, but okay. The games are alright (the first one, anyway), they have their moments, people can enjoy whatever they want. But "the best detective story ever"? Somnium Files? No fucking shot.
The games certainly have a charm to them but I wouldn't say they made the best detective story ever. Hell, wouldn't even say it's the best Spike Chunsoft detective story as master detective archives: rain code is a much better mystery story in terms of buildup, hints, and obligitory spike chunsoft final chapter twists.
