SKYHARBOR's breathtaking double disc, debut album, 'Blinding White Noise: Illusion & Chaos', will be released on April 23rd via Basick Records and promises to be a landmark release for the Indian independent music scene, in no small part thanks to the incredible number of international guest appearances it will see, including the likes of Marty Friedman (ex Megadeth), Daniel Tompkins (ex TesseracT), Vishal J. Singh (Amogh Symphony) and Sunneith Revankar (Bhayanak Maut).
Spanning 2 discs the album reveals very different aspects of the band and is a mix of effortlessly mature, ambient soundscapes that intertwine playfully alongside densely layered guitar work, complex structures and experimental metal.
"Right now, I am very much into a band called Skyharbor from India" - Chris Adler (Lamb of God)
"Blinding White Noise is a phenomenal album full of different styles, textures and sounds. It's a shining light to how creative and forward thinking the Indian metal scene promises to be. There is something for almost every metal fan here, whether you like it melodic or bat-shit crazy, your whims are catered to here." - MWD Reviews
"SKYHARBOR seems to have plugged into a vast pool of untapped genre-bending amalgamation (read: an envious list of collaborations). There's no stopping this juggernaut now. There are several layers to the Skyharbor-sphere that takes several listens to peel off and comprehend fully." - Indian Music Revolution
"Prog-metal fan or not, the ambience and warmth from one end and relentless surge of adrenaline from the other converge perfectly and will make you hear this album now and 20 years later with the same zeal -- timeless in every sense." - Metal My Religion

If this isn't playing at my funeral, then I'm not going.
🤣
Pleasantly surprised to find out this band was Indian
Indian, English and American now.
Lyrics:
Behind the walls we seem to know
We have faith in too many things and we just don't know what to choose
We have control over everything and we could stand to lose it all
I believe we are a supernova. Born onto a dying star
What if we had known, but what if we were never meant to know?
Behind our star
What if we had known, but what if we were never meant to know?
We die stranded here
Would we survive, or would we die?
Behind our star
We want this to be over
We believe in so many things that we just don't know what to do
We have faith in too many things that we just don't know what to choose
Supernova, tell us once again, will we ever know?
Tell us who we are
Born onto a dying star
Home again
When will I be home again?
We want this to be over
Tell us who we are
We want this to be over, although we need it so badly
Twin flames who before separated, were one from a star , and trying to find each other over multiple lifetimes , searching for our other part of our soul. I am he and he is me. We want this to be over this separation the healing process and trying to balance our energies , going through our ascension process, just wanting to go home. My Divine masculine is HOME. I’m alive when I’m home. I can’t wait to go Home .
If Sky Harbor and TesseracT toured together....
My God.... That would be amazing.
True, but tesseract and intervals was not bad :D
kMw07 maybe all 3 of them? =D
Add Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Vildjharta, etc...
Oh hell yeah, best concert this world has ever seen right there...though im not big on Vildhjarta
Derp McGrahamCracker add karnivool and tool the next day. :-)
THE best Skyharbor track.
Eargasmic song. this song makes me just want to stay up all night and watch a sunrise shining across the endless skies and reflecting on a huge body of water
seriously this song is absolutely fucking amazing. it makes me think of a final fantasy boss fight, like advent childrens final fight or something. just the beauty of daniel's vocal range combined with the instruments. honestly my favorite part of the song is is 6:20 til the song fades, i could listen to that for the rest of my fucking life. if this song was a woman, not only would i hit that, but she'd wake up the next day to breakfast in bed and an engagement ring because i would have ZERO desire to meet ANY other girl.
ThePurestMayhem best comment ever, i love FF
thank you :)
This reminds me of Deftones... I love it
The vocals are breathtaking.
Why isn't this on spotify? 😢
To have pride in no one but yourself is selfish and shallow, we are not isolated animals we work on pack mentality. The well being of others adds to the well being of ourselves, and to reward good behavior with things like pride insures that good things continue to be done. I'm sure there are a lot of metal fans in India that have pride in this band and I'm sure this band knows that, which most likely makes that band proud of themselves and try harder. That in turn brings us more music.
never thought i would ever hear much about an indian metal band, thank you daniel tompkins page for showing me this epicness
Marty Friedman = God
That Solo was just soooooooo FLUID....
Brilliant solo by Marty Friedman ! Damn good song. These guys are insanly talented.
Got about a minute in and bought the album, this is incredible
Glad these guys are from my country India. Heard Dan singing live at the great indian rock festival when he was with Tesseract. Superb vocals. Im just waiting to hear Skyharbor live now.
The backing track in this song is probably the music you hear when the sky tears open and you catch a first glimpse of heaven
The guitar lead at 2:53 is absolutely SICK!
Marty Friedman killing it as usual!
One bad mfr@@bhargavabhat9227
I recently moved to the US from India, and the stuff at 3:22 is so good, it always makes me sad. :(
One of the best songs of the album
I can't believe the guys you have been able to collaborate with; thats intense, talk about connections! Can't wait until it is released in Canada!
I completely agreed with you, chill.
I get goosebumps whenever he screams 'supernova'
They blend so well
Just turned a fan this week
LOVING THIS BAND RIGHT NOW :)
It's weird that it's a debut album of this quality, that Marty Friedman is a guest, and that you can't hear it on Apple Music in Japan.
Damn, this band.. my jaw just dropped
What the hell dude... the singing is what MAKES this. It wouldn't be even close to being this good if it was just screamed.
Just introduced to this band today. Great stuff. Will order this tonight
that solo..
eargasm!
awesome band....
Vishal \m/
There's something called "part of the whole" that makes it matter. Things are bigger than yourself, there's more to life than just you. Steps forward in humanity are done as a group which you are a part of, and I doubt you feel that something you are personally a part of deserves no pride. I am a part of society like you are, I am part of a bigger picture. When I let someone else know I have pride in them it gives them motivation to try, when they move forward they bring us with as humans.
yea , supernova , awesome
Amazing song, I can't get enough of this.
Holy shit marty, where did you get that solo? That was his best solo until now
That and Celestial... the guy is a goddamn legend.
argh i melted ....
Dan's voice can make any song sound beautiful
just randomly came across this on the internet. never heard of this band before. Already know I love them after one song.
am i the only one who REALLY LOVES the part from 3:36 till the end?
Nope! Me too, that part brings so many memories
Your comment is nine years old at this point, and at that time, I too was admiring how good this part is
Hope you're still rocking to this!
@@BRNardy of course!
I am still loving this song due to that part
Isn't the whole song great?
The riffs in the chorus definitely have a post-hardcore vibe that I'm definitely okay with
Thats 1 band out of a million......from India...Being Indian..i am so proud of these guys...being a musician i am so disappointed that we have ONE band,,,,,,!!!!!????????
there's a certain aura, a certain magic, that's encapsulated here. I don't know if it will ever be replicated.
HE GOT SIGNED YES!!
It's ok, we all used to be like you, it took us all time to like good music.
SUUUUUUPER NOVAAAAAAAAAA
this is an awesome album!!
Incredible tbh
Just incredible!
amazing
This is what I call a good instant comeback.
You guys have to come to Colombia, you are the best! Please come with TesseracT
Diego Bernal I saw sky harbor with tesseract with monuments and the contortionist earlier this year= Fucking Phenomenal
@@dubenstein6347 holy sh1t, that is such a killer combo! Hahah cool!
@@SHINJIxCORE it was awesome. It was in Boston in this small well known rock club standing only maybe 80-100 people. After their sets they were hanging out talking to people and shit. Crazy night of phenomenal music.. I hope we can get back to that
@@dubenstein6347 fuck yeah dude! Cheers to that!
SO GOOD
i would say that currently there are few (if not none) bands that have scaled to SkyHarbors level of recognition. I think there are more bands of this level (or better) that deserve this kind of recognition.
What a beautiful album cover!
Beautiful song
This is phenomenal
2:51 ... You're welcome.
Such a great solo
zsswimmer
No mistaking Marty...
VOLiTiANBand ?
Marty Friedman - one of the guests on the album....
came here practically to hear Marty .... and wow the whole freakin songs amazing....
I quite like this mix I want to be able to hear the instruments when they're this good, they provide more groove and feel than the singing does I think but it's still really good vocally wise
Amazing outro.
its so easy to lose yourself in this song. just mind blowing.
One of the best song I have heard lately. perfect sinthony among all the elements
Can't get enough of this stuff... Dan is awesome.
This is really just fantastically composed and written music regardless of genre. Excellent sense of direction. Song is powerful and catchy and actually makes you feel something. Dan's vocals are absolutely killer on this.
omg this is amazing.
I don't normally say things like this because I really don't like to compare bands, but the intro to this has a very tool-esque feel to it. This is beautiful regardless of who it reminds me of though.
Tool ? Not at all. Ive been listen to Tool since 90s and can't hear any tool referance.
I hear it actually. Tool's Rosetta stoned has a break down section that sounds similar to the intro
What came first to me as sound influence or resemblance with this tune was more like Deftones in the White Pony and after era.
wow, this is actually sick.
3:35- 4:55...seriously the most beautiful part on the album
ya wild for that one.
Great album.
Reminds me to Textures, Extol and Cynic, the influences are really strong in this band, and I love it.
Sooooooo goood!!!
skyharbor, karnivool, oceansize... give me some more bands of that league :D
Yes. Though I love his work on One, the Skyharbor session was epic - I absolutely can't wait for a followup this year. If BWN is any indication of potential, I'm fully prepared to have my mind blown, again.
Yep, I'm with you :)
You've never had a sense of pride because of the actions made by someone else? A father has pride in the actions of his son, a patriot has pride in the actions of their nation. Absolutely nothing wrong with someone being proud of someone else in their country and by proxy someone their country produced for creating something beautiful. Look at the Olympics, nation's pride given to a few capable of winning medals for the rest of us. No different than a band winning awards.
The guy just meant hes proud... i.e he is relieved that a band from this country has met international standards and this could (hopefully) not stop with one band but would inspire... musically and technically many more music artists to come. If you made such an issue for a harmless comment, you have some serious shit stuck in your right brain.
Geez the vox need to be turned up a bit in the mix. I find myself struggling to hear the vocals over the guitar
I feel you
Just found these guys....holy crap.
Cathrsis en el solo 2:55 es una verdadera belleza para apreciar…
Daniel freaking slays on this song!
You got into hip hop a few days ago and already you're complaining about one of the old guys selling out? That's ambitious.
Damn, I was underwhelmed by Skyharbour until this song. This is majestic
At 4:54 it sounds like he says "Death to you... die." I know that's not it, but it still sounds badass, and gives me massive goosepimples.
Huuuuu mama it's good...
Perfect balance between musical movement's, all sprinkled with technicality
Can't believe there's a metal video with people commenting about hip hop and nobody's bitching about it. Some faith in humanity = restored.
Also, awesome song. First song I've heard from this band. I'm gonna check out the whole album and probably buy it.
Marty friedman. You rocks
I hope this is a concept album because the cover looks like a poster for an epic movie.
I like layering in my music to fill out more simplistic ideas rather than what sounds like band members having a talent show against each other in a song. So in that context I do like it just like how TesseracT does it. Very clean production and sounds natural and the ideas are simple but have good layers that add rather than over whelm or take away from the music. Here it just sounds as you said too digital and fake but the talent here in undeniable.
You should check out his live rehearsal video. The vocals are much more clean and it's in one go. It's fantastic.
Woah woah woah.... What about The Arusha Accord? Circles? Uneven Structure? Chimp Spanner?
While I don't agree with him and love the vocals, just because he doesn't like the vocals and has an opinion, doesn't mean he has to be able to do better to have an opinion about it, just because a person can't cook doesn't mean they don't have an opinion about whether they like the food or not.
The first song I heard of Dan Tompkins. I regret not taking his invitation to taking 1-1 vocal classes. :(
when will I be home again...

We have faith in too many things and we just don't know what to choose
We have control over everything and we could stand to lose it all
I believe we are a supernova. Born onto a dying star

I like this band's sound, mainly the beautiful melody and progressive elements. But the vocals are bit overwhelmed at times by the guitars
