WATCH IN HD!!! This is a drum cover of "Dots" by Skyharbor. I am a huge fan of Keshav's work with Skyharbor. His music is absolutely insane and very well thought out. I decided to do a cover of this song. I didn't play this song hit for hit, but I stuck to the original parts as close as possible. I didn't make any drastic changes, but I did add a few little things here and there. This is a very fun song to play. Also, I am a sucker for beautiful harmonies and epic parts, which this song is loaded with! hahaha...
I do apologize for the difference in color between the two views. I used a Canon HF R21 for the shoulder view and a Flip HD for the foot... which is why there is such a big difference... haha
Again, all of the drums are natural! I just tried to make a decent mix for the tube! All and any feedback is much appreciated! Hope you enjoy!

I use Pearl quad beaters! I've actually always used quad beaters. There was a short spree when I use Axis pedals that I played with a set of Tama beaters, but for the most part, I have pretty much always used quad beaters! Alex I believe has also used quad beaters for a long time now! I just like the weight! And the option to change between felt and plastic is really nice!!!

When playing metal, once you have solid footwork, can recognise and feel comfortable with odd rhythm's and can follow a rhythm guitar perfectly it becomes less about the substance of the cake, but more about the icing, if you know what I mean :)
PS. I am at a similar level to you and have spent the last 6 months working on the icing , and trust me, drumming becomes so much funner when you can play your favorite songs with Finesse

I was wondering...what snare drum do you use? Also, how long have you saved up for and purchased individual components for your kit? I bet you have sponsors now, but were you building this kit up when you were younger? Im slowly upgrading mine but its difficult for a busy drummer without any support from manufactures...any advise, maybe even on getting a sponsor-relationship with a company? Thanks man! Love your style and the music you guys put out! Keep rockin'! XD

Interesting! Loved the timings. Pls more passion though! You're a drummer .. the fire should be there at all times.
Great job there man! there's no doubt your a good drummer but im going to give you some positive constructive criticism if I may.
1. cymbal switches and catches could be used more often and more effectively.
2. Gotta give it a lot more intensity man, I know your concentrating but imo when you drum for an audience (UA-cam included) you become an entertainer. Throw some stick tricks in there and start headbanging
3. Loosen up and feel the music more, that will defiantly help with cymbal work

Why change the beaters on the DemonDrives?
I have DemonDrives too and have been thinking of changing the beaters as the stock beaters have worn out a little.What beaters are you using?
I noticed Alex Rudinger has changed his beaters too.
Does it change the feel in some way?
