4 years jail for those on the bus, it’s a pathetic sentence considering the victim lost his eye. 4 years is no justice

Given how young I was when many of those episodes of CW aired I’m amazed at the bravery of my parents allowing me to watch such dark graphic and violent content? As I said to someone on here on a Saturday night I was allowed to watch Casualty and all but I had to go straight to bed afterwards when I was little and there were some programs my parents wouldn’t let me watch so I’m with Ryan on this one our parents were incredibly brave that’s all I can say.
I really hope many of those culprits have been caught and sent to prison thank you again for the uploads hope everyone enjoys rest of the weekend stay safe and lots of love Xxxxxx

I started watching both Casualty and Crimewatch UK in about 1987 when I was 8 years old. Amazing how parents didn't care what you watched back then.

@@ajs41 Yes in fairness with Casualty wasn’t quite as graphic even though it was ( as it is now) very close to the knuckle a lot of the time and it was on a Saturday night so I guess it being the weekend parents probably made allowances for us to stay up a bit later than we did on a school night but with regards of CW I’m astounded by the fact our parents allowed us to watch it? Okay I was 13 ( from what I remember) when I started watching the series but that’s still very young to watch such shows.
My older brother used to ( as I did at some point) watched South Park and I remember our Dad telling him to change the channel as I was there from seeing that cartoon now and looking back I can understand why he didn’t want me seeing it given some of the content on the show.
I was a huge fan of Brookie and I sometimes watch past episodes on here and with some of the storylines and the subjects they shone a light on I can see why my parents wouldn’t have a let me watch.
I wouldn’t say parents didn’t care but they were more brave and it they might not have always been aware of some of the things we saw on our screens we had ( we still do) more than one TV in our house so we’d b on different floors so it may have been they just didn’t catch on? Many years ago my parents had a Tv in their bedroom and either of us sometimes went there to watch something Xx

Hi Kate, I have just seen your comment, that's very sweet of you to wish us all a safe weekend. Likewise to everyone else too not just weekends but always. In the words of the original Crimewatch UK main presenter the always King anchor the legendary Nick Ross: "Don't have nightmares do sleep well goodnight!"

@@ryanohara476 Hope you have a wonderful and crime free Christmas and enjoy your day it’s sad about some of the recent cases like the teenager who was stabbed several times due to her identity it’s beyond tragic and other murder victims their poor families.
I loved watching CW for many years and I often watch many crime documentaries on here or on TV and find them interesting Xx

@@katemissfilanpurrmcdevitt Hi Kate, unfortunately there are far too many evil people in this world! This is shown in these Crimewatch UK episodes. With all of these high profiled crime cases in the news and media recently. Shows like Crimewatch UK are still relevant today with all of these recent knife and gun crimes involving minors. Attacked because of their identity is just sickening really. Unfortunately it is happening more. It is a show the BBC need to relaunch. As the the devastating evil shootings in Liverpool (which both had taken a few months to solve and result in a prosecution, why we need Crimewatch back) and Plymouth in recent years. Likewise wishing you a very happy Christmas and a safe New Year xxx

@@robinfereday6562I think what Ryan meant was that he was amazed his parents allowed him to watch such graphic and violent content at such a young age. Yes neither he or any other child who might’ve watched it at the time didn’t have to watch such horrific scenes but still.
On a Saturday night whenever I watched Casualty and other shows alike as soon as they all finished I had to go to bed and my parents were reasonably strict about what my older brother and I were allowed to watch on Tv especially when we were very young so I’m surprised they were okay with me watching CW Xx

Once drugs get hold of people it gets very complicated.
      Very hard to save them.
They must WANT to save themselves and at the same time appropriate services must be found.
      Otherwise?
      The only solution is confinement,
and confining people for what is a psych/physical illness can just make it much worse.

Wow incredibly judgmental. You seem very immature and obviously don’t know much about these kind of situations. People can suffer all sorts of childhood traumas of no fault of the parents and thereafter are literally on a collision course with chaos and destruction, there’s literally nothing a parent can do in that situation once the young person is above a certain age and free to do as they please, and even before that it’s very difficult to try n contain someone who’s determined to go haywire. I know I’ve seen it happen. If only the world worked the way it appears to from your simplistic little lens. Love to anyone going through a situation like that and all the best 🙏
