The "6.8 Wrath" is supposed to be referring to the 6.8 SIG Fury that is used by the MCX Spear, but since the RM277 fired a .277 TVCM plastic cased caliber, the caliber name should've been renamed... 5:11 I'm absolutely gutted that they didn't use the plastic casing by default, instead it being an ammo option...

It couldn't handle other .277 cartridges, especially the steel-brassed .277 Fury because of the pressure of what those cartridge bring. However, it's possible that the MCX Spear could be fired with the .277 TVCM, and if it's added to the game, that plastic cartridge can be used as an ammo option.
It be cool if they also added the HCAR as a Battle Rifle. I feel like it's making a resurgence on UA-cam. Maybe the Textron bid as well, but there isn't too much information.
The HCAR was my main squeeze in Battlefield Hardline. That thing was a counter-sniper weapon for me, especially before it got a small damage nerf. Hopefully they do indeed add it in all of it's desert coyote .30-06 glory :)
Having mixed feelings about the polymer-cased ammo stats tho. Really glad they considered the weight reduction and ammo capacity but I'm confused on why it decreases range and velocity even though it is the exact opposite IRL lmao .
Thing is polymer case ammo actually works at a relatively lower pressure. Wouldnt want melted plastic gumming up your gun after all. The longer barrel compensates for this but in game well… game designers are nor gun experts.
The patch notes said that your Loadout could be used in spec ops and it was a lie. no mil-sims skins for default kortac and spec gru. the menu laggy as hell, advantages in dmz with the new bundles. etc I hope my new internet will take the mad out of me tomorrow. I'm glad they added this into the game, the Amicus was one of the guns on my wishlist for Modern Warfare 2 also Battlefield and they both came true. I even bought a reserved spot for the gun when true velocity was doing that. Can't wait to get my hands on this rifle IRL.
I'm honestly disappointed I was under the impression we were getting the mcx spear and was really excited and they bring in a bullpup instead that didn't even win the ngsw.
i feel the only major issue the RM277 had against the spear is that its a bullpup where the spear was more familiar to the m4. however, between the three bids the spear and RM277 were the best ones. while I wanted spear to be selected the Rm277 is definitely a great contender. I do hope in the future sig and general dynamics team up to make a spear with the polymer ammo that way the military gets traditional arms with new lighter ammo. good video though.
Operator usability and familiarity was certainly a large reason for the Spear's win in the NGSW program. Not only was a very good choice given SIG's craftsmanship and customer support, but being essentially a direct upgrade to the aging M4 with all of the familiar ergonomics really did set it in place. The RM277 did have a few more issues, which did play a part in its loss, and I doubt with ig being a bullpup the trigger was anything worth writing home about. I certainly hope we get the Spear, M250 and P320 in the future. The Holy SIG Trinity must be completed! :D
How did you level your battlepass so fast? I understand that you've gotten the black cell battle pass with 25 tier skips but I've only managed to complete 1 tile on the battlepass map. Do you strictly play DMZ?

I was trying to turn it into the NGSW rifle but I couldn't find the can. I assumed it would be with the other suppressors but ig not since it's weapon specific. Also didn't think to check the ammo type either.
the reason why there's a round left while you inspect the weapon is because rm277 fires on open bolt on full auto and closed bolt on semi to reduce heat. i read it somewhere online and the reason why the weapon switch to open bolt on full auto is to reduce heat from sustained fire, kinda the same concept as scar hamr where the weapon gradually switch to open bolt during sustained fire for the same reason. kinda cool.
I think one of the canted hybrid scopes you can use is almost similar to the default RM68 in Battlefield (Base Sniper/ACOG with RmR on the side). But so far it's a solid battle rifle: good at range, keeps on target even at full auto (should be a tack driver on semi) and has the composite ammo as an option. Really wished it were the MCX Spear, but this is a decent choice, at least until the Hellion arrives.

I think the damage is a disgrace. 6.8x51 or 6.8x43 SPC (not sure wich one it is) are much stronger. The M4 with the 5.56x45 mm has in the game more damage .... wtf.
Never really thought about it until now but what if you could choose to be a right or left handed shooter? I'm sure some people wish you could and it would be interesting to see. Just make it more personal I guess.
As much as I wanted the spear, I'm loving the rm277 right now. It's really damm good especially in semi auto. I really only use it in semi auto. It slaps both in multiplayer and warzone. It can delete someone in a blink of an eye.
Love the weapon a lot so far, also investigating a bit today about the weapon i discovered that like the ww2 fg42, the rm277 shoots from a closed bolt when firing semi and fires from an open bolt when firing full auto, looks like the game depiction shoots only in full auto, that's why on the inspection you can see the rounds directly on the mag intead of thr closed bolt
Idk if the polymer rounds would reduce overall felt recoil irl. same powder, primer, it would absolutely reduce overall weight, which is what I think they were going for.

This is my favorite weapon now, idk why more people aren't using it, battle rifles are more powerful when you switch to semiauto, 2 shots or 1 to the head will drop all 3 range dummies, on full auto will kill with 3 shots or 2 to the head, our military is retarded for not adopting this rifle and composite ammo

I love using the acog, and I forget what it is called but it's a compact holo sight with a green reticle. I think it's the battle holo or battle optic
I want ACR assault rifle and and HCAR battle rifle and new LMG and Sig saver MCX spear rifle as battle rifle so I hope that ACR and MCX spear are season 4 weapons but I'm like RM77 is has low recoil in battle rifle class and I have used in full auto with longer barrel best under barrel attachment and it work wonders and max level RM77 just before 12am
Im sad that it didn't get the default semi auto mode as previously described. It hits like a hammer with the damage boost and I also run the masterkey to offset the slower rate of fire for close range.
There is a chance they may still add the MCX Spear, considering IW tries to give each caliber at least 2 guns if possible Best example of this historically is the Chimera and ISO Hemlock Likewise, the game needs more battle rifles, and 6.8mm shouldn't be limited to an open-bolt gun
