Yesss I loved hearing you hear that sudden major after the middle eight
i love how you so effortlessly explain musical concepts to those who haven’t heard of them before! i would find that very difficult to do on the spot but you explain them really well
Yes thissss
another favourite artist of mine!!!! orla is so good. so excited for your future vides :)
i’ve been listening to this song on repeat for months, so the analysis was really relevant for me! thank you!!
same here 😄😊
my neck is killing me from all the syncopation - too good!
if you got anything from Lauren Aqualina, or Tessa Violet, suggest away! Will get back to dodie soon
Feel free to recommend anything else in the meantime as well!
Can u do some pomplamoos pls
You never know what Tessa will do next, she is so unpredictable: always worth listen to though. I like this one(ok a like them all):

@@abkh7777 Pomlpamoose and Dodie maybe. "Monster" is insane :)
@@johankarlsson17 I 100% support this.
@@johankarlsson17 I think that is my fave song ever
Coool!!
Dodie, Orla, Tessa and Lauren: All my favorits :) And please do the mashups. I don't think people understand how amazing these are. I couldn't believe my eyes when I found the four of them sitting on the same bed, doing their first mashup. I didn't know they knew each other. I was so blown away!!
So obvious you are a great mucisian yourself. Looking forward to your next "reaction", and of course you have a new subscriber :)
Other suggestions:
Phoebe Bridgers
Julien Baker
Maise Peters
Alice Phoebe Lou
Please keep making these. They are so informative, and they help out a lot.
You explain things so well Milen! You makes understand things I've never heard of before with such simplicity
You're analyzing all my favorite artists!! Ahh love these videos, so eye-opening!
love orla gartland
I love Orla as much as dodie. They're both amazing singers and composers with their own talents. It's great to have a place of music appreciation for both (and Tessa and Lauren). Looking forward to the analysis of their mash ups!
"Orla's rhythm trickery" 😂 so true. I love it so much it really makes her songs come alive. They're so fun to listen to.
Also "cool rhythm makes musicians look like they're stumbling down the stairs" LITERALLY ME its too true oh my haha I was doin those neck pushes right along with you. Again, love the written in comments you put. Its like the pessimistic Burt to your musical genius Ernie. 😂😂 Can't wait to watch your next one!
Man, i love these videos! I learned some music theory back in school, but always shied back from diving deeper- I feared that I would lose some of the wonder if I knew what was going on. So it's really cool to see a professional enjoying music the way you do! Also, as a massive Orla fan, her back catalogue is insane. There are over 60 "demos" on the lowest tier of her patreon, ranging from ballads to experimental songs to full-on house bangers. We heard "more like you" as a demo last year, and that was more or less release-ready. I absolutely recommend to dive into all the unreleased Orla songs!
never stop makin these dude
omg, so happy to see orla here! also, u should react to caroline polachek!!! her vocals are insanely beautiful, especcially on Door, Ocean of tears, Look at me now and Parachute!!!
Yes! Look at me now also has a really interesting time signature that would be cool for you to analyse
Love love looovvee this song
yesssss you go dude I am rooting for this channel :)
Just found this artist a week or two ago. I’m hooked. This whole album is so damn good!
A request: I could never figure out the second melody in "dear happy" sung by Thomas Sanders and dodie. I know this is very specific, but if you could react to that song that would mean a lot to me.
YES literally same, my friend and I wanted to duet to it but I realized that I can't actually figure out what Thomas is singing akfioajgkg
@@omlette_leia6721 I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding, but do you mean you can't figure out the lyrics?
@@owlsandrainbownerds no, I mean I also can't figure out the melody that he's singing bc it's different than the one dodie is singing :) and no worries lol
My favourite songs by Tessa are On my own (lofi), crush, bored and haze. But I think you should pick the most interesting one musically. I don't know much about music theory. Dodie's songs are usually more outside the box than Tessa's.
games is my favourite tessa song!
Not sure if you're still doing these analysis videos, but I'm loving all the ones you've done so far! Orla is one of my favorite underrated artists, and it's really cool learning about what makes her music so special.
Also, if you ever wanna try analyzing songs in another language, Yorushika has some really amazing ones! My favorites include "Spring Thief", "Say It", and "That's Why I Gave Up on Music"
Thank you for explaining this!! I loved the song but couldn’t tell why. It’s amazing to see all the complexities behind the scenes that I would know nothing about
really enjoying these videos!!!!
Julia Nunes did a collaboration with Orla and Dodie, I'd absolutely recommend checking her stuff out and then watching that video.
dodie and orla fan here! love your content and you are super amazing at these videos!
I absolutely love this channel!! I watch a lot of music theory content to try and teach myself something for my own writing, and your stuff is so sincere and energetic and wholesome. Definitely a new fave! I’ll be sticking around for a while! Excited about the upcoming videos on the fantastic foursome!! :D
wicked game by Lauren Aquilina is one of my favorites! would love to see you cover that one (: love these videos.
Orla is an awesome creator
YES i´m so happy you're gonna react to Lauren, i love her music so so much
You neeeeed to react to Lauren's Swap Places
would you be able to so some music theory and how that relates to song writing, or just some tips videos? I just found your videos and i love them!!
i love this!! it’s so fun to learn music theory through music i already love, so thank you for doing these :)
Loved everything about this. It would be cool to hear you analyse "The Pugilist" (or literally anything) by Keaton Henson or "It Will Come Back" by Hozier
YES mash up videos!!! You should check out the "Can't Feel My Superbass" mashup with dodie, Orla and Andie. edit: OH and Tessa's track "Bad Ideas" is my fave! Such a bop!
I've never seen an analysis of Lauren Aqulina, and I know these are a bit older, but I'd LOVE to see you cover Fools and Broke, since those songs feel like they're telling a Story, despite being from 2 entirely different EPs!
This was so awesome, I love hearing the way other people hear music. Also, if you wanted to do a Tessa song, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Haze, On My Own, Games ft. lovelytheband, Honest, or Interlude III. As for other artists I think you'd love, Sammy Copley released an absolutely amazing album in January and so did Arlo Parks :)
if you're gonna do more Orla, i would love to see your take on Inevitable, Heavy and Pretending
a criminally underappreciated artist imo is agnes obel. she's got some gorgeous strings in her songs, some of which are instrumental that would be really interesting to hear you dissect! if you want to start with one of her more popular ones i'd go for "familiar" (my personal favorite is "fuel to fire" though because of a beautiful string/piano section but tbh it's hard to choose)
Ugh, again absolutely loved this breakdown. It really helps savouring their music like this.
And hell yeah, totally up for the other ideas. You may be surprised that long video essays can do surprisingly well, especially with dedicated fanbases- BUT hey you do you, I (and I bet plenty more) are along for the ride whatever you’d like to go to next.
Some of my most favourite songs by Tessa are; Haze (!!), and Make Me a Robot (old bot g o l d)
Klybyeee
Maybe first do a video on each of the 4 songs in the older mashup thEn the mashup. After that the 4 songs of the newer mashup then the mashup itself? Then you'd already judged them all by their own merits before going at them all together
