Feli_the_one Yeah when no one knew ‘Your song, Rita Ora’ I couldn’t believe it because that was in the charts for weeks here in the UK fairly recently but obviously it never made it in the US.

Rita has a few hits under her belt but didnt manage to make herself a superstar because there is not something about her that could help people telling her apart from other famous singers. So when someone hears a song of hers on the radio thinks it Rihanna or someone else.

Ever considered that it may just not be their type of music? Honestly, Amy Winehouse is one of those singers that you're either *really* into, or you frequently hear her songs on the radio but they don't intrigue you enough to do further research on them.
Shinx002 I’m actually not a big fan, so I fall in the second category. Still, she was quite a big star, her voice is extremely recognizable and her death was somewhat recent. So I find it surprising that a lot of them didn’t recognize her.

These guys are young, FBE chose songs that were less popular for some of these artists (at least in the US), and there are way more British singers than this that tend to be more popular in the US (Little Mix, Lily Allen, Ellie Goulding, etc).
