My Arrangement of Xion's Battle Theme re-uploaded with more volume. Enjoy! Thanks to Jakah06 for his inspiration in "Dirge of the Fourteenth" www.box.net/shared/nhv8g7y621 Arrangement by: Milen Petzelt-Sorace Original Music: Yoko Shimomura
Only just heard Orla for the first time three weeks ago and so this video popped up on recommended. Wow! Really impressed with how informative this video actually is! Loved it!
I don't even know what sort of music you make videos for - Orla was a departure for my musical taste a little- but you got my subscription because god damn! This video was amazing!
Why did you stop making videos? Please make more!
Holy crapola this is good.
6:44 you totally just played Down by ... Dodie there haha
New Kingdom Hearts Agrabah battle theme sounds great
One of my favorite Dodie songs. Hauntingly beautiful. I really appreciate your insights.
I love this so much! Holy hell, what a legend. My earholes need this kind of thing every day. Listen to it dozens of times and pick up something new with every pass.
Hi! Just watched you reacting to "When". Loved the video and love Dodie. Please react to her song - Before The Line ua-cam.com/video/JrIvzfJsbjk/v-deo.html&ab_channel=dodieVEVO
I love how you break down music! Can you break down dodie's "Hate Myself"? One of her more upbeat tunes
10:40 This part also reminded me of Lord of the Rings!!
You explain things so well Milen! You makes understand things I've never heard of before with such simplicity
Loving your analysis!! I noticed thing I hadn't before
Wow!!!
If you like to, you can react to my very first song ^^ ua-cam.com/video/xElxWEaTh7o/v-deo.html
I really need the sheet music of the strings 🙈❤️
Not sure if you're still doing these analysis videos, but I'm loving all the ones you've done so far! Orla is one of my favorite underrated artists, and it's really cool learning about what makes her music so special. Also, if you ever wanna try analyzing songs in another language, Yorushika has some really amazing ones! My favorites include "Spring Thief", "Say It", and "That's Why I Gave Up on Music"
You're analyzing all my favorite artists!! Ahh love these videos, so eye-opening! <3
what i would give to listen to this version of "when" for the first time again
I actually just listened to it for the first time and I just relate to it so much
Honestly it had deeply entranced for the first long while when I'd listen to it. Very few songs and artists can do to me what she can.
I'm a music education major, and I just wanted to congratulate your attention to your use of big terms; you didn't shy away from technical musical terms, but made sure to always realize you used them, and then define them in a way that is accessible to anyone, musician or not. Thanks for doing your part in making music ed accessible to everyone!
this is the best analysis of a song ive ever seen... AMAZING
A9, E over G sharp, f#minor, d maj inverted
Her soft, quiet, breathy singing has such an ASMR quality to it. Makes the whole thing seem like she is singing just to you. Love it.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on her song Secret For The Mad. The instrumentation is so minimal but there's still a lot to say about her arrangement.
i love this
You neeeeed to react to Lauren's Swap Places
Could you please react to "Cool Girl" by dodie? I think it's my favourite song of hers so far. It even surpassed "when" for me so I would love to hear your thoughts on it! Hope you upload again just realized this was 3 months ago.
Btw your channel just got recommended to my home page. So the UA-cam algorithm likes your channel 😉
“I’m going to listen that again. I’m not going to get over this” me with every single thing Dodie has ever created
Just found this artist a week or two ago. I’m hooked. This whole album is so damn good!
I really enjoy your content. Getting the reaction from a composer is a really unique perspective and would love to watch you react to more dodie or other artists similar!!
Would loveeee to see you analyze her song Special Girl. The instruments in it are so so fun
Please keep making these. They are so informative, and they help out a lot.
would you be able to so some music theory and how that relates to song writing, or just some tips videos? I just found your videos and i love them!!
I appreciate talking about the chord progression!! I did an inprov piano class ages ago, and learned how to accompany with just the classic I V vi IV or the I IV vi V, and I really like seeing musicians actually going into that and how you can create songs from the bare bones.
Awesome content! Would be sick to hear your reaction on paramore’s “ain’t it fun”. The gospel intensifies in that one :p
Billie is awesome but I love when Finneas gets his dues!
Hi! Loved this. I'm looking forward to watch more of your videos. I have a request for you. Would be AmAzInG if you analyze Cody Fry's "I Hear a Symphony" or "Photograph".
wicked game by Lauren Aquilina is one of my favorites! would love to see you cover that one (: love these videos.
i love your stuff dude dodie i so beautiful with her music
I am trying to be an script writer (would not call me a professional ... yet ;D) ... everytime I am a bit stuck, I just put on some Dodie music and all of a sudden I am crushed under all the grand visuals that are conjured up as well as ideas for tragic emotional payoffs.... But boy do I have to wrack my brain over the setup LOL
you're kinda cute too lol
11:04 that cello indeed played *"isn't it lovely??"*
Please react to Hideaway- Jacob Collier, it’s one of the first songs that’s ever made me fully stop and sink into the music, it’s brilliant and I’d love to see it put into educated words about why that is exactly
(also i love these analysis vids, as a music student it’s validating to have a pro in the field validate what you think you’ve been hearing, keep it up!!!)
I found your channel through one of the dodie videos and I’m so glad I did because you’re becoming one of my favorite channels! It would be cool if you made a video on any of Declan McKenna’s songs. My 2 favorites are ‘eventually, darling’ and ‘paracetamol’ :)
so excited to watch this video!!! when the album came out i listened to this song blasting on repeat, just for the beautiful strings
Julia Nunes did a collaboration with Orla and Dodie, I'd absolutely recommend checking her stuff out and then watching that video.
this is great! found you from your dodie analyses and loved everything you’ve had to say on all your other videos! you have an amazing way of explaining complex theory and ideas in really accessible terms that i often struggle to articulate to non-musos. i’d lovelovelove to see/hear your analysis n reactions to a hozier tune or two - he’s got some really beautiful vocals and guitar lines, and a really diverse range of production styles through his discography. a couple i’d recommend would be NFWMB, movement, work song & run. keep up the amazing work!
can we talk about the uncomfortable delay in the beginning of the song tho? like the ukulele stops playing and you expect to hear her voice straight after but there’s an uncomfortable space/silence before she sings! def noticed this when singing along w her i always want to sing a little ahead. i feel like this is bc it’s meant to represent the uncomfy feeling you get before you start crying/breakdown like it’s building up but you can’t quite yet release those emotions, and then finally the release towards the end!! so beautiful
I think tessa confirmed the video was intentionally a remake of that twilight scene lol
You are so talented!! Thank you for laying out the song like that
That's def finneas in the choruses
