Is Season 8 the best Homeland Season ever?.
I am so in love with this show. Lost all the series from my hardrive. so heartbroken. All I also lost pics of the birth of my daughter also. Double tragedy. I can't get over fact that this show is no longer so reduced to viewing clips on youtube. Showtime streaming is not an option in Africa. I love this show so much I want to go back in time and start again. Favorite scenes: Initial Saul/Carrie chat: "what were his exact words please? An American pow has been turned. 2nd> Carrie in Beirut "Is there anyone in the apartment? Give me the keys. Carrie!!! Get in the car!!!. All of the final series was just jaw dropping because it was so topical and close to real life events. Of course they did a lot of research including the sessions they had with ex service personnel for ideas and material. Including with Edward Snowden via Skype. Such a pleasure to watch and enjoy this. I need to find the box set. If there is such.
There is no such great finale season like in Homeland!
Shot like a nothing but Max was smart loyal & brave. Such a tense thriller this show.
The characters are going one by one
as long as carrie gets shot in the end, i'll be happy
Max's death was heart breaking for Carrie.

Did anyone catch the massive mistake in john’s speech that revealed Jalal had shot down the helicopter before Jalal announced it
I hated watching Max this season. He is so loyal, smart but still innocent. He will do anything and tries his best to be above board. He was so torn up about the president's death. The look on his face as they were searching the helicopter. His bravery in setting up the listening channel so they could tap the wires in the middle of a highly charged combat zone which most people behind the scenes in tech and engineering never are exposed to. And then his death... I was so heartbroken. No matter how crazy Carrie gets, she is loyal to the people she trusts, she will not leave anyone alone if she can aid in their rescue.
Why was max killed. I'm so disappointed. This is going good though.

Showtime has a helluva show to replace in #Homeland for sure.

Oooh so intense... so Carrie wants flight recorder to prove how helicopter crashed and stop a war.... help crash may have been an accident - and Yefgeny (how do you spell it) he probably wants to destroy the recorder so that there will be war? So if they find it Carrie has to Kill him or he has to kill her? Aaaargh.

THINK, it was the best TV series on covert operations conducted overseas by CIA. They should have continued this series till America withdrew from a Afghanistan.

What difference the flight recorder would do if Haqqani's son already confesed he was who shot them down?
It's highly unlilkely that Haqqani's son did shot the two helicopters down. I mean, he's not that capable, i gather... Who knows, though. But if he did so, great chances are that he was assisted. So to find out the black box is sure of great impotance because it can prove that if it is Jalal or some other parties involved that masterminded the shotdown. If not, as it's already revealed in the ep8, US is gonna declare a war against Taliban, which goes into complete opposing direction toward the 'peace initiative' that were to be advocated by President Warner, Saul, David and the Taliban.
Somehow Carrie’s going to find the box with proof that the Taliban were not responsible... but then what...
I’d really like to know what happened between her and Yevgeny and why he’s risking his neck to help her. He acts like he cares about what happens to her and she seems to trust him... it’s a very strange relationship.
