Homeland is an edge-of-your-seat sensation. CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) is tops in her field despite being bipolar, which makes her volatile and unpredictable. With the help of her long-time mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin), Carrie fearlessly risks everything, including her personal well-being and even sanity, at every turn. You won't be able to turn away from this gripping, emotional thriller in which nothing short of the fate of our nation is at stake. - Фільми й анімація
Love Homeland sooooo much. Love Carrie sooo much.
By far the best series on TV, this season 8 absolutely riveting...
Heartbreaking scene at the end, felt for everyone, especially the talib having the flashbacks of his son.
HB definitely
HB did you just sympathize with a terrorist ? nothing justifies killing dozens of people in cold blood.
@@mustafa-cx2fg like he had a choice in the matter...it was either him and the soldiers killed or him and his whole family killed....the guy wanted peace but his hands was forced
That last scene might just be the most incredible piece of television cinema I’ve ever seen
Renew for Another season, it is great. So much more stories to tell.
Like the double agent discovered during polygraphs in season 1, they never mentioned again.
Especially now with what happen in Afghanistan, we need another season
Ep12 shall be a special ending of 90+MIN.
It's 70 minutes long according to the Showtime website
Homeland is rocking and clicking on all cylinders....
Yeah this series is ending only cause we are humans, work and same routine may be overwhelming, tiring and stressful and all projects must end, thank you Showtime and Gideon for the best show ever when it comes about CIA, Homeland security and counterterrorism
Best season, best series ever.
Of course, the Carrie / Yevgeny "relationship" is problematic, now do you think they are toxic? Because?
Compared to the other relationships (Brody, Quinn, Jonas), platonic or not, Carrie had - in my humble opinion - YES.
Yevgeny being 3-4 steps ahead of Carrie all the time. This amount of suffering show runners put Carrie through in the last season , let alone the whole series - is mind blowing .
This doesn’t really annoy me, though I understand why it would bother you. As Yevgeny said a few episodes back, he’s a planner. I’m reminded of Carrie’s line in “The Vest”:
You wait, you lay low… and then you come to life.
For better or worse, this operation to identify Saul’s asset has probably been in the making for years if not longer. Allison didn’t work out. The Russians and Yevgeny specifically were handed a gift when Saul and Carrie both decided it was worth the risk to let Carrie be captured if it meant securing Simone’s exfiltration.
And, honestly, that we’re able to talk about the plot and story of this show so holistically at this point is nothing short of a miracle considering there’s no way the writers are as much “planners” as Yevgeny claims to be.
Damn one episode left. I’m gonna miss this show
@Lucas CFranco They have a hellavu lot to wrap up, but then again, maybe that's not their intention. I'd actually prefer an open ending. I suspect Carrie ends up in a federal lockup. The very idea of her trying to wrest the name of the asset from Saul seems wildly absurd to me. Maybe things are not as they seem, though. I'm dying to find out. Yeah, I've been a Homeland geek from day 1, so it'll be sad to see the show end.
"I can't betray Saul"/
"I can't turn my backs on her"!
Oh my God What a double punch!
In my opinion Carrie & Saul are tangled for Life!
There Is an ancient latin quote to express this unique linkage among them:
"Simul stabunt Simul cadent"/
That approximatly can be translated in such a way :
" At the same way they stand up (together)/ at the same way they Shall fall ( together)/.
It's sad & very harsh to say & write this one after ten Epic, outstanding unmatched compelling years of this journey named Homeland/
but I'm really afraid that we have to expect a very dark finale for our Heroes!
I Hope , Oh! I really Hope I'm Wrong!
Only two more episodes ahead!
Wait & see!. 💘💘💘
When she’s not being interrogated, she sleeps all day, her body somehow knowing it finally has permission to rest. The combination of deep sleep and mostly empty days allow new memories from the asylum to resurface. Like her brain decided to regain lost territory. Most of them center around the brutal interrogations she endured when she was still half-way lucid, before she lost touch with reality entirely. They-at Yevgeny’s behest-did unspeakable things to her: starvation, sensory deprivation, filling her cell with photos of Franny, shackling her to a chair for weeks, among other things. Everything they could possibly do to accelerate her descent into madness.
I need more homeland!
alex ganza is a great writer
Carrie & Saul are linked for Life!
That's the One & only thing that really matters & that will lead to the epilogue of a Finale Season & such a TV drama Series Epic beyond every human word.
Despite everything I still believe in both of them!.
PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY...THIS IS THE FINAL SEASON OF HOMELAND?? @HomelandonShowtime +HomelandonSHOWTIME Leaving me in SHOW HOLE with NOTHING TO WATCH or look forward to!!!! FIGURE IT OUT AND GET BACK TO ME!!!
K. Anderson we should start an online petition to save it
After Season 5, the showrunners and cast agreed to bring it to its natural conclusion with this season
What do you think, this is the Simpsons? It has to end sometime.
Hate so much how she got these soldiers killed. I don’t like how some people say she got more killed than she saved in the show, her recklessness killed all these people, but damn this episode it’s right, thanks to her these soldiers got blown to shit trapped on a bus. Awful man! However the best damn season, so crazy and awesome.
It's a tango
To be perfectly honest, she was largely responsible for her current situation. With every step of her erratic mission in Afghanistan, she took the bait. As she told that FBI agent, she found in him the help that her own side had denied.
That was before everything got out of your control. Before he put a needle in his neck and asked the impossible. She had been so angry afterwards. With him, of course, and also with herself for trusting him and her side for losing sight of what was important.
For God's sake, he manipulated her to the point that she really considered killing Saul. Was that stupid black box she was obsessed with worth it, or was there another way out as Saul suggested?
I guess they forgot the show had a double agent in season 1, then never talked about that person again. Remember the polygraphs??
leila's son is called shahine
Sail you owe her a lot
With all that gunfire that car would never make it to the gate. No way all those men could miss so many shots.
Less you all remember the statement the FBI agent made in episode 4 or 5..."someone told the taliban where to stand exactly to launch the RPG which hit the 2nd chopper. " We still do not know that answer
I really think they should have let the suicide bombing fail or have that guy drive the car into something else to show that there was still a voice of reason and conscience that could still exist in the Taliban in the hope for peace. It's ending this show on the note that extremists have the upper hand in the Muslim world and anyone who stands apart from that will be punished. They shouldn't have made the character a believer in peace and let him surrender to Jalal's threats in the end to simply state that there's no room for peace in an extremist circle. Now there's no one left to encourage peace since Jalal is far from peaceful as he gets and he'll have to be captured and/or executed.
2 episodes left we'll see in the end
I thought the same, Cody. Damn was holding my breath the last 5 minutes of this episode. Kept hoping for a change of heart. :(
He had to do it to save his family though
It's not a fairy tale, it's Homeland. This storyline was very important to spotlight.
That was definitely a major setback. I don't think there is a shred of hope for peace talks right now even if the US magically got a hold on that flight recorder. I think this series will end on a very sad devastating note.
