The Beach Boys performing Good Vibrations, California Girls, Sloop John B, Wouldn't It Be Nice and Surfin' USA at the 2016 National Memorial Day Concert.
It's looks like family ties TV show season start show hollywood story life look like back by being behind beach boys years before New York City and pay pal picture day away magic
Well the truth is these are not THE Beach Boys. However they are the band which are the disciples of the Beach Boys music. As Dennis Wilson himself said "Brian Wilson is the Beach Boys,we are only his disciples". Thus those who hate this rendition go somewhere else. There are plenty of Brian Wilson shows on UA-cam. While I am on the subject of Brian . he is here in New Hampshire tonight Aug 28 at the Bank of NH Pavilion in Gilford with Alan Jardine along with his fabulous band which Paul McCartney says is the best touring band in the business. Godd Vibrations and Love and Mercy to all.
Thank you The Beach Boys for making this Memorial Day concerts. We enjoyed every moment of watching this video and listening to all yours songs bring back so many memories and so much more joyful moments in our lives. ❤❤❤❤❤
Despite all the decades long criticism, I think it was a good decision to focus on the feelgood songs during concerts. Not strangely, these were also the biggest hits. And man, what a great show do they still give!
If Brian Wilson Isn't there it isn't The Beach Boys. Mike Love criticized Brian's song "Hang on to your ego" in the pet sounds days, but he is the only one hanging on to his ego!
@G Walker It depends on Brian’s mood - many times he has a fake smile + a second or third keyboardist in case Brian doesn’t move his hands!!! Brian doesn’t contribute much vocally anymore!!! Sad but true!!
@G Walker I think Bruce does great!!! He is multitalented…he sings, plays piano & keyboard + produces!! Sure Brian is terrific when it comes to arranging ~ & God knows he’s gotten credit for!!!🥰 But Bruce is still doing all he can & Mike is still singing & entertaining!! And they & others do a GREAT job!!! ❤️❤️😎😎💕💕🌈🌈❤️❤️
It's officially The Beach Boys dude. It's not Mike Loves fault that Brian Wilson destroyed his mind with drugs and voluntarily gave up touring. It's not his fault that Dennis Wilson killed himself with drugs or that Carl tragically died of cancer. Mike Love has only ever wanted to make music and tour, unlike the Wilson's who got into drugs.
Adventures & Survival in Thailand too bad the Wilsons were The Beach Boys, Brian would your with them today but he knows that Mike Love is an egotistical douche
Ah...hate to bust anyone's bubble, but that's Bruce Johnston (member of the band since 1965...he replaced Brian when he stopped performing live) next to Mike Love...yet...I agree...it's not REALLY the Beach Boys...
If Mike hadn't fought to retain the rights to the music, neither him nor Brian may have not been able to perform today. They always put on a great show.
Russell Loveland He can't do the frenetic pace that Mike Love wants, but he does tour with Al Jardine. Seems after the 50th anniversary tour in 2012 Mike Love said "See ya, and oh, by the way , I'm the only one that can use The Beach Boys name, even though it's just me." But hey, Love's got John Stamos so who needs Brian, right? Mike's a douche.
Because since 1998, the estate of Carl & Dennis Wilson, Brian Wilson & Al Jardine have allowed him to do so. He has the legal right to the name for touring but not recording. :-)
One of the best bands ever in pop/rock in the 60s, but second to The Beatles! But they were/are great!!! Love California! Love the Beach Boys! Ken Toronto, Canada
@@thefriendlydemons1466 agreed, he was so hard on Brian, and Brian’s ideas, of the direction the band was going, Mike wanted the cookie cutter beach, hotrod sound forever, instead of growing as a band, to me Mike Love is very egotistical
Don't know why there's so much hate regarding the auto tune. Trust me, the performers, especially the original members, are HIGHLY against it! The show producers are the idiots forcing them to be auto tuned while singing on stage!
I don't mind it in moderation. The Beach Boys autotune at their age isn't THAT overdone like it is in current pop/rap music. What bugs me is that Mike, in his book, claimed that only Brian used an autotune mic in their 2012 tour, yet all of the guys sound at least a bit altered...you can hear the robotics. So Idk why he continues to deny it. He can hit low notes okay, it's just when he gets his voice where it comes in to play imo and I have defended Mike a lot online when I see him get hate, but I can't deny the subtle autotune
@@adventuressurvivalinthailand I agree. Whats it matter? They sound great. I saw them in concert a few years back with the rest of them including Wilson and they were pitch perfect. We use tuners to tune our guitars so whats the problem using auto tune for voices that get old? These people know nothing about auto tune and frankly I dont know how they tell. Is it because their pitch is spot on? If one cant sing then auto tune wont help at all.
This so-called "Beach Boys" band couldnt even sing their way out of a wet paper bag!! Check out the videos of Brian Wilson and Al Jardine along with Matt Jardine (Al's son)! Now thats a true Beach Boys performance!!
The backup band is great. Foskett is great and the band does well. Mike clearly uses autotune, even if he denies it. I don't think Bruce uses it as much, but they all do. If you think Al Jardine and Brian don't you aren't hearing it. Al has the best voice of the remaining Beach Boys imo though
Who IS that guy with the blue 12 string guitar singing 'wouldn't it be nice'? He shows up on lots of Beach Boy videos, since about 2012 at least. Never knew his name. And why isn't Bruce Johnston playing keyboards? At least he's out front singing. (Yellow shirt). (He started out playing bass when Brian bailed out of public performances) I'll consider Mike Love and Bruce Johnston as official Beach Boys. All the rest are recent fill-ins. Where's Al Jardine? He comes and goes. Even David Marks, (missing for about 50 years since the first couple of albums) has disappeared. And Brian Wilson came back many years ago to make it official, but ... where's Brian?
Jeff Foskett is the the guy you are referring to. He started with the BB's back in 1980 through to about 1990. He played other groups from 1990-98. In 2000 He helped Brian Wilson tour until the BB's 50th tour(2012-2014) where all BB's played together. Then Jeff jumped to over BB's with Mike Love until 2019 when he was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. He died Dec 2023. His voice was the closest to Brian Wilson that's why you've seen him so much over the past years. What a great voice. He will be missed

The guy on the left who sang lead on Good Vibrations was incredible. And I think the criticism of Mike Love is over the top. How about showing a little respect for all the members of what is arguably the most talented vocal group of all time?
Beach Boys is not the same if Brian Wilson, Al & rest are not there.Like Beatles without P.McCartney. Really missing the Wilsons magic.Still Mike Love & Co.did a good job.
Mike's vocals on California Girls sound almost metallic! I still wonder why the other remaining Beach Boys aren't on stage with him! It'd be so cool to have the others there, even if they are drowned out in the mix.
Down to Just Mike Love of the originals (and Bruce Johnston who came slightly later) Still sounding good but a bit sad at the loss of all of the originals.
Folks, all these comments ripping Mike Love and saying that if there's no Brian, it's not the Beach Boys is silly! Without Mike and his "backup band," the Beach Boys would've died out when Brian couldn't handle life and drugged himself right out of the music scene back in the 60's. What, you want more junk like the "Surf's Up" album? Rock on Mike and keep the Beach Boys music from dying out, like so much of the 50's and 60's music has!
Norfolk Enchants I don't know, it is tough to say. He was there for a lot of stuff. But then what makes a beach boy or gun for hire? Was Bruce Johnston a gun for hire to? I personally think both would be beach boys.
The whole of the beach boys. Al Jardine goes between both groups. This is the "official " Beach boys. I've seen Bryan with Wilson Phillips band and he has health issues sadly. But over the last 25 years have seen them at least 5 times.

Love my Beach boys they are still my favorite Rock group till this day!
I love Jeffrey Foskett singing, he hits those high notes great!!
Yes Jeff does a great job . They are lucky to have him .
Yup. A great musician and a mensch
I hear auto-tune
He plays with Brian also ...yes he is amazing

I hate how the band split up, but I love this music-- no matter which group is playing it. It's "chicken soup for my Beach Boys soul"!

Brian Willson don't need Beach Boys name, he's the famous by himself. Mike Love without BB is nothing
I Think they did it very well. Good sound, good music.

Dennis Wilson didn't kill himself with drugs he broke his neck when he dove into a pool get your facts straight
If Mike hadn't fought to retain the rights to the music, neither him nor Brian may have not been able to perform today. They always put on a great show.
Where's Brian..No real Beach Boys without any Wilson's
Its not. Its like Toto without a Porcaro in it.
Michael Langley and sadly only one Porcaro is living. Jeff was an awesome drummer.
Well, i guess the BB dont exist anymore because Dennis and Carl is dead, fold it up boys, your going home for good !
Brians health has worsened hes not able to do the touring much anymore

Solid set list.
How can this be the Beach Boys, i can only see Mike Love with his fluttering hands.
a long standing dispute among the other members!!!
I heard Love has rights to the name
Not even David Marks as far I can see.
Bruce is there too

No Brian no Carl no Dennis no Al. Beach Boys rest in peace
I don't get why Mike Love feels he has to pantomime almost every word.
He's an utter tool , always has been always will.
that's because every tv show they did was pantomine
so hes really good at it. faux bboys. no brian not real
Since the late 60s
How cool would it have been to have Brian Wilson Rockin-it like Foskett!
I don't understand the need for auto-tune here... I've seen them 3 times and they sound fine normal!
Like him or not Mike Love sang lead on many of the beach boys bigest hits, he also wrote and co wrote with Brian Wilson many of their songs.
Beach Boys The Best 👌
Unfortunately there are only Mike Love and Bruce Johnston from Beach Boys
No wilson no beach boys. Ok there is only one Wilson alive. Brian
Never thought Id see Jeff Foskett playing with Mike Love.
