thanks for the great tutorial. Making the easier understanding of V Ray complexity. And the sequels of 7 tutorials focused on V-Ray helps to not miss anything.
Please how about, if you want to return the component to it normal. I am saying, perhaps you dont want it to show as proxies (especially for chaos cosmos downloads) I wish i can get a quick response 😢
why is it that when i apply vray bricks to my models they come out as proxy symbols(the one w/ v symbol but w/ color) and not the brick itself. i only noticed this w/ bricks.
I don't know if you're still checking comments, but I hope so. When I export a tree to a proxy object, it doesn't render like it should. Instead, it also renders the simplified "boxes" around the leaves that you can see in the proxy model. It does this with a few different tree models I tried. What is going wrong?
Yep - where did you get your tree model? It sounds like you might have used one of those 3D Warehouse models with a bunch of flat leaf images for leaves?
@@TheRenderingEssentials Actually it isn't one of those...VRay doesn't seem to play nice with those versions. One model, for example, is "Broadleaf Tree 4" from the warehouse which has all modeled geometry for the leaves.
i want to know why my trees look like something is wrong with its color. it is not green and the shape is not the same as what i see in model. kinda like some group of papers
HI Justin, thank you for many usefull recommendations....What I can not understand, and I can not find any solution, what is wrong with undo in sketchup installing vray 4.... and higher, it will really kill me! it doesn´t work anymore, maybe one step backwards, mo more :(((((((..... Any solution? thanks a lot.....
Hi Justin, Im a landscaper using vray and your videos to take my designs to the next level and would love some landscaping tutorials! Im building my own plantmodels which works great, but without proxy my skatter output is getting to much for sketchup..
I am looking into V-ray, but I am still confused on where to get vegetation such as trees/bushes/plants/etc. And once you do obtain models of these, does v-ray have textures such as leaves and tree trunks/tree branches, or do you have to find custom textures to import? So mainly my questions are, where is the best places to get vegetation models (I am ok with free options, but I wouldn't mind paid options since they are usually higher quality...and once I found models to import as fully detailed or proxy's, how do I assign the materials using v-ray, and are they inside of v-ray or do I have to find custom external material sources?
I loved the video. I definately learned a lot! I have to make a landscape animation at the moment and my customer doesn't like 2d trees in it. You mentioned, that you think Proxies don't work in animations texture-wise if they aren't coming from another programm like 3d max if I got you right. Well I am only using Sketchup and Vray. Does it work to use Proxies for animations in Sketchup with vray because without proxies my computer is shutting down...I would love to have advice :)
Hey Justin, always love your videos! You just mentioned that you could make animations with the Proxys but you need a different software to do that? I saw a video that Chaos Group made with Vray, where a bunch of trees are "jittering" throughout a timelapse animation. Wondering how that's possible, can you make a video on that? Thanks!!
Justin: how can I create my own models for future use, like chairs windows and so on, then import them off a folder on my pc for future use no video on that

Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!!!! You have helped me on my journey more than you'll ever know 🥰
Happy to help!
Wish I had known this years ago!
I think this is one of the most helpful tips for those who don't have a powerful setup!
Thank you very much!!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Yeah landscape renderings! Thanks for your Great work! You Are the best Teacher out there❤️
Thanks very much!
hi why i can not rander procxy file ?
tell me please 🙏
Thanks for the tutorial. But for trees best to have at least indicative trunk.
Hi, anybody knows why exporting proxy to sketchup in scales alot, like 10x times bigger?
Please how about, if you want to return the component to it normal. I am saying, perhaps you dont want it to show as proxies (especially for chaos cosmos downloads)
I wish i can get a quick response 😢
Would this work on vray 3.4, I know I'm a bit backward but that's all my device can work with currently
Is there any exterior rending lesson via vray with well explained using how to show reflection and use of lights???
if i use that proxy agin in another file how?
Hi Justin, I would definitely like to see more landscaping tutorials with or without render engines like Vray or Scatter. Thnx!
Thanks for the comment! I'd like to do some more of both, so stay tuned! Thanks!
Proxy cant changd it to normal model Right?
Verry interesting! Does it also works for complex forms like cars?
Basically anything that's a component within SketchUp, so it should!

Did I not talk about this in the video? They look like paper because they're low poly proxies...

I don't know what this means...

Sounds good! I'd like to do a Skatter and Vray tutorial pretty soon - thanks!

Maybe start with this video? ua-cam.com/video/lOvx1NqJAC0/v-deo.html
Hey Justin, thanks a lot for your videos they are really helpful.. I'm interested in seeing tutorials for exterior rendering if possible. thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!
Definitely. Would love to see it.

Hmmm...not 100% sure how they're achieving this affect - would have to look at the actual video...
Justin: how can I create my own models for future use, like chairs windows and so on, then import them off a folder on my pc for future use
no video on that
Wouldn't you just import them into your SketchUp model?
Great tutorial, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
BEST OF THE BEST!!! Thank you so much
You're welcome!
1: how can I get the vray proxy menu ,plus i have vray 3.4 !
I don't know how that worked in version 3.4 - obviously it must be in a different place...
Good explanatión...thanks.
How can we get skatter tool for free
You can't - it's a paid extension
