Is it me, or is the speed of this song has slowed down???
Seems a lot slower. I wonder for what purpose.

Yes, slowed down and probably downtuned, it's easier for Vince to sing then...you can hear that he sings slightly less bad here
@metalpunkhead7314 This song is in drop D. It's not tuned any differently than the studio recording.
@@nakrohtap It allows Vince ot get all the words in because he seems to be working on his voice with each vid I've seen. The addition of FX's is helping him as well. Slowing it down helps with breath control.
I saw them in Detroit , Tommy's upside down drum contraption. Was totally worth it. Pawned a vcr , went to Detroit , bought tickets from scalpers. A VCR guys !! Paid for 2 tickets !!

John5 is an excellent player , power and technical , but Motley on a Telecaster , something is missing on the tone . Probably it’s just Mick being the most underrated guitar player of the genre . The Ron Wood of Metal ..
No swing or sustain in John's tone. A lot of what made Mars' playing so integral and noticeable was the groove in his tone.
Yeah but that Telecaster tone sounds limp as f honestly. A Strat is not in another galaxy from the Tele but Mick's riffs sounded beefier and I have to assume it's because of the way he attacks the strings comparably.
@@RenZenith Mick always played a wide range of guitars . He had the Les Paul early , then BC Rich , I think he then had a deal with Jackson . But ya , Mick is very heavy handed , like an Iommi or Beck .
Mick used to play a lot on Charvel Telecasters back in the "Girls Girls Girls" era

One thing is for sure, Motley Crue isn't Metallica, which 2 years ago released a new album with a song that became #1 on the Billboard charts, which at 50+ is very hard and impressive to pull off.

@1:20 something funny going on with the timing here. From experience, I sense there was a glitch in the click/backing track or maybe it was just a drumming issue. Even J5's expression shows some discomfort. But, Tommy brought it back with a well timed fill. I like J5 in this band. A lot of Crew fans complain there's no heart in his playing. I think people use "heart" as an artistic way to excuse sloppy playing sometimes. Heard the same complaints about Kiss with Tommy Thayer vs Ace. J5 is just a super clean player and there's nothing wrong or less artistic about that!

I saw vince play solo 7 years ago on a 98 degree day outdoors. Wasn't pretty. Worst show i've ever been to to this day. I would've bet the house he had weeks to live 7 yrs ago.

For ''live'' it actually doesn't sound bad......I have tickets for august...hopefully it will be a bit more polished by then. Stop the Vince hate.......HE HAS NEVER BEEN A GREAT SINGER! He is a FRONTMAN with a distinct sound ... in one of the most notorious rock bands of all time. It's all about those first 5 studio albums anyway. I'm going to the concert with my wife and try and re-live the anthems of our youth for one night,....hell we might even have sex in the backseat of the car this night! Haters, just stay home eat frozen pizza criticize and watch on youtube.
