Jist saw this in my random feed. I live in fairbanks, and usually fish on pike using my flyrods, but when I bust out my standard rod and reel, I always have success with my Kodiak spinners. You rock. Cool to see the guy behind the company. Support local bizzz :) subscribed as well! Tight lines!
Sorry for the late 2 year reply ;-) The lures are Kodiak Custom Fishing Tackle. I don't recall what the rod/reel setup was. Thank you for watching. We'll be quicker to respond next time.
I’ll have to give this a try next time we head out pike fishing. This was the first time I’ve had pike and I really really liked it deep-fried. Thanks for watching.
No. Which is why we decided we would keep a couple and see how they tasted and they taste great. There are some places in Alaska where it’s a good idea to release them because they’re not invasive but there’s places that they shouldn’t be that they are invasive.
I really want to test my european both customs and fabric lures out there in alaska. Here we say no wind no pike. Pikes seem to like clouds with bit of wind
WOW! Bet you have a few hot spots you like to hit. The Innoko area in Western Alaska has some trophy sized pike. Fairbanks also has some great access to pike fishing. Good luck out there!
Oh my goodness. At 5:44 into the video you hold up a Pacific Cod and you say "Lingcod" It's Not a Lingcod. That is my entire point. I still liked the video.@@AlaskaOutdoorsTV
@@michaelbailey8320 Ok, I see what you’re saying. If you watch the entire episode you’ll see this is a feature piece on Tony Davis when he lived on Kodiak Island. We also show a 420 pound halibut, ling cod, Pacific cod and rockfish but the main episode was pike fishing which we showed being fried. Thanks for watching.

RIGHT ON! Glad to hear that. Tony Davis and the crew at Kodiak Custom really rock it. Thank you for watching.
What’s rod/reel/line setup did you use? Great vid man!

Best way to eat them is to scale, stuff with sage stuffing, 40 min. on the grill. Extremely tasty.

You got that right!

All over 😁😂 It was pretty rainy that week.

Not sure about the wind or clouds, but they sure don't like cooler temps. Thank you for watching. Tight lines out there 🎣
Why did you release that pike! Troopers!
What’s ironic about your comment, is we were fishing with a troopers family🤣
What kodiak every lure that is matching witch the water is successful 👀👀😉😉😉
LOVE our Kodiak Custom Fishing Tackle lures. All custom hand made.
Here's the deal, I've bought and own at least $500 worth of kodiak custom lures... with that said, I deserve to know the secret pike fishing spots...

5:44 "Lingcod". Wrong.
What’s wrong?
That's a Pacific Cod. Not a Lingcod.@@AlaskaOutdoorsTV
