Have they just got an old script from Top Gear and slightly reworked it? Nothing original here. No loss to the channel, but having seen just two episodes I won't be watching a third.
He was thinking about his future kids looking adorable in their little soccer outfits, he and his husband smiling at each other and realising how much they love their life.
Like the video guys, but as someone who's just moved from the UK to the US you may want to have a look at the exchange rate that you guys are using. £6000 is worth less than $7000 right now.
You guys criss cross all over the area I call home, and I’m so glad there’s people with actual chemistry doing things like this again; it’s a balm for the soul. Keep it up!
I want a follow up on this episode - get the horses back under the hood! Or at least try some cheaper methods of taking care of the engines and see how far they can take you, no need to rebuild the engine.
Officially imported cars of foreign manufacture for the Japanese market are restricted and the *stock* ECU locked so it cannot be remapped. Did you swap out the ECU for an unrestricted one which could? 160BHP ish sounds like the typical restriction I always found when living in Kyushu. Of course, everyone had the ECU swapped :-)
1st generation boxster S is lovely car. Great handling, gorgeous engine sound and not 'too' fast so you could enjoy revving it. My dad had one growing up. Interestingly we didn't like the mark 2 that replaced it as much. It didn't sound or steer as sweetly
Ever think to run a couple of cans of Seafoam through the engine before a dyno test? Two cans in your gas, one in your oil. Then a quick road trip, an oil change, and then a dyno test. No one ever seems to do this in a challenge video to improve their odds, and I can't fathom why
I really enjoyed this video! I had a base Cayenne like the one in the video for about 6 years, it has been my favourite ever car purchase. A big, comfy, practical, well made car that sounded good, fairly cheap to own and run (aside from mpg), and surprisingly fun to drive. Agree that the 968 is the coolest though! 🙂
I had a 944 Turbo and later a Boxster S that I was able to use as a daily driver. I even drove the Boxster to go snowboarding, but did have to retract the roof to get my snowboard into the passenger seat. I've always wanted a 968 hardtop manual, but those are incredibly rare.
It might have been good to check some basics, e.g. air filters, spark plugs, etc. as the Cayenne has lost a massive amount of power. Reliability would have also been good - drive them for a month.
Cool stuff guys, enjoy the challenges, but I'd love to see a proper drag race instead of a quick 60-70 pull on the highway. Some timed challenges with some slaloms or a circuit race would be fun as well. I realize you don't have the full weight of the BBC to help fund things like that, but a little would be cool :)
Just like the internet fanboys to put the Boxster S last. A bunch of silly sheep following each other. That car will blow the doors off of any of the other cars but just because people hear about the Boxster "not being a real Porsche" or that some kids call them "Hairdresser" cars, they think they are bad cars. Spend a couple of hours on the internet researching Boxsters. You will never hear anyone who has actually driven one say bad things about them. I have a Boxster 986 S and am absolutely in love with it. Amazing car to drive. Fast and handles like it's on rails. Drive one and you will smile. Guaranteed.
I owned a 2003 Porsche Cayenne S… best car I’ve ever owned! Bought the car used with 67k. Only had issues with control arms, fuel pump, and window roller mechanism. Drove it to 277k before getting my 16 Macan S. Macan is around $70 a month maintenance I highly recommend the Macan S it’s been a fantastic car so far! These cars get a lot of shade from those who don’t daily drive them… if you want any info on the older Cayenne or Macans I’d be happy to help :)
I bought a Cayenne 4.5 twin turbo about 15 months ago. it has been absolutely brilliant - it's only serious naughtiness being a failed water pump. It was losing coolant but running fine, a replacement was 40 quid and 100 quid for a local mechanic to fit it. Apart from it's prodigious thirst of 15mpg round town it is an absolute dream to own. It cost me 6 grand, I reckon it's still worth about the same. Bargain.
I just got an 09 camry with less than 20,000 miles on it, its practically brand new. It was $5000. has good aircon and the cleanest engine bay on a daily driver I've ever seen
Nerd moment: the Cayenne/VAG thing is the other way 'round. VAG paid Porsche (handsomely) to develop that platform, so the Touareg and Q5 started life as variants of the Cayenne. The "consulting" payment from VAG was so great, that it not only covered the R&D, but covered the cost of constructing the Leipzig plant (and its accompanying test track and "soft road" track) as well. There was an article about this in a Christophorus magazine quite some time ago, but I can't remember which issue. Anyhow, this meant that the first-generation Cayenne was basically a money-printer for Porsche, since each one's sale price just had to cover materials and labor (and not amortized R&D cost or factory tooling costs, as with most cars), and the rest was profit. The money from the Cayenne is what gave Porsche the funds to federalize the GT3 for the US for the first time and to turn the stillborn V10 racecar project into the Carrera GT road car.
I’ve had 2 955 Porsche Cayenne S v8 suvs in my life and I loved them both.solid suv made for any type of bad weather and can handle pretty well off-road and handle like a sports car on the turns.the only real disappointments for me about the first gen Cayenne is the gas mileage and it’s inherited Volkswagen/Audi electrical issues
Yep people have started really waking up to them. RWD, great chassis, manual gearbox, NA flat 6 cyl, comfortable yet sporty. Plus its a convertible with tonne of storage space. Its a more grown up version of the NA MX5. And we all know how the prices of those have gone. I have a 987.2 Cayman myself. Its such a good all-rounder sports car.
The PT Cruiser of shame. I drove one once, it was a loaner from a mechanic doing work on my car. People on the road were looking down on me so bad, I felt like a sub par human driving this !
Just so people know, VAG doesn't stand for "Volkswagen Audi Group", it's just Volkswagen AG (Aktiengesellschaft) which is the equivalent of like Volkswagen PLC
this couldve easily been 20+ min episode dont be afraid of the longer content!
yeah my main gripe with this channel is that everything goes 2x as fast as I wish it would
I'd say even 30+, for something like this, easily
@@HazewinDog the algorithm makes the decisions.

This is the classic Top gear cheap car challenges that I've missed so much. Great work guys! Keep it up!
No, this is better. It's fresh.

I’d love to see longer form videos in this format. The 3 hosts have great rapport and weird accents like a tv show we all used to watch.

My all time fav car. 986 pastel yellow Boxster S.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite channels. Also, as a bald man, I'm appalled that hairdressers make enough money to buy boxsters! 😁

Wow Boxsters have really gone up in price. Used to be able to get an alright one for 4k, and a ropey one for 2k
They are more sought after now. More men reach their midlife crisis.
Most used car prices have gone up a lot, trying to find anything decent for under £4k is a struggle.
