Finally someone compared them to Bang & Olufsen's headphones!👏👏 I get why people compare them to Sony's most of the time, but when it comes to build quality and design (and price lol) B&O is a much more fitting and interesting comparison. I also think the target demographic of the AirPods Max and B&O headphones is much more similar. Would love to see a comparison video between the AirPods max and the B&O H9 og H95 if you have the opportunity!
guys, dont forget both H9 and H95 have much better battery performance, and the H95 can last 36 hrs. if i paying that much stupid money on luxury headphone, B&O everytime
I bought many headphones in the past. From Sony, Beats, JBL, Marshall, Sennheiser to Korg....... my AirPods Max tops them all! The sound is well balanced (great highs, lows and mids) as a reference headphone that I can hear anything. As a Musician, this is very important to me. I love the look and feel of it. It's pricey but worth it. Very happy with it.
Wasn't into these until I saw it here. You sold me on em! I'm over other brands because I am in the apple ecosystem, and it's so bloody frustrating trying to switch between devices and apps. I want SEAMLESS! I live in headphones most of the day.
So mine are in... first I have to say I got some problems with them. The left earcup is making this weird noise when the noise cancelling is on - only on the left one tho, not the right one. Second, there’s small “hiccups” in the connection with my iPhone. I had these with my old headphones too, so I figured it must be gone with the AirPods. Nope. Then I removed my iPhone case, and it worked better, but still not gone completely. So I’m guessing it must be a problem with my iPhone. Whatever... I’m very happy with the overall quality with the AirPods of course. They feel very luxurious - as they should for that price tag lol. But they fit very good and if you wear them for a few minutes, you forget you have them on your head 👍🏼 The sound is on point. I have nothing negative to say about it. It’s worthy of the price. So over all I would be completely happy with them, if there wasn’t the connection and noise cancelling problem I have right now. I’m gonna call Apple Support on that though. Incredible headphones!
On the plus side, because the case uses magnets (and nothing proprietary like the metal contacts on the bottom of AirPods, and doest need to be paired) like the old iPad folio cases, I'm sure there will be a aftermarket of hard cases for it in the coming months
One thing that he failed to mention (or notice?) Is that to turn them off you have to put them in the "bra" case. This means that you can't use just any better headphone case. This is one of the Apple features that just makes things more difficult. At this price, I think it is more style than substance. There are many great headphones out there that are cheaper and have better features.
@@wolfgangkoeppen52 the only thing is that the case puts the airpods into ultra low power saving mode. So I don't know if apple will give other companies the tech to allow that.
@@Lok0Blaz3r93 there’s no tech, just a magnet in the case to toggle ultra low power mode, apple puts magnetic switches in everything, iPads (smart case), Mac books (for when the computer knows when the lid is closed) and recently MagSafe wireless. Unless there’s some voodoo in the bra case, it’s just a magnetic case
Don’t worry about the case, b/c you won’t be walking around with it like a handbag. Don’t worry about the lack of a mini jack, b/c a lightning to mini jack cable will do the job. Don’t worry about your glasses if you are in the market for an over ear headphone anyway.
As a glasses wearer, I’m glad you addressed the effect it has on the stems. That was my biggest concern with those headphones. I’ll stick with AirPods. Thanks for the awesome info!
Great video Oliur. I’m not convinced with these personally. I love my air pod pros but absolutely cannot justify the price tag for these. I know Apple are known to be expensive but they’re completely taking the piss here....

I had the Sony XM3, B&O H9, and I ordered these. If these sound noticeably better than both of those then I think I will keep them. Otherwise I will exchange them for XM4s lol
How are you shocked that Apple doesn’t have a headphone jack? They’re Bluetooth headphones that are more geared towards iPhone users. Most iPhones don’t have a headphone jack. Very rarely do Bluetooth users have a need to plug in their headphones. I have three over ear Bluetooth headphones and have never plugged them in. Why would I want to do that!

@@arottedfruit you think these headphones are going to benefit from an amp? these are probably like 32ohms, using an amp won’t change anything. amp usage isn’t determined by cost.
@@arottedfruit you don’t need a dac either, depends on the device you have. if you have an apple computer then the dac there is fantastic and has pretty much 0 white noise so you only need an amp if you have high impedance headphones. again, with headphones like these that are made for consumers, you don’t need any additional hardware.
finally, someone mentions B&O. So far everyone else mentions things not in the price range, going only as high as Bowers & Wilkins, as if very few people even know B&O exists. 😩🤷🏽♂️ Would love a sound comparison to B&O.
No headphone jack and i still have to buy a lightning adapter to listen to on the plane. Also no hard case like my sony M3s and they cost a lot more. I am going to pass on these. They look nice but the next model in 6 months will be better so we will see. So a no for me and I own everything apple.
Great to see you looking so well. I think the headphones are about £250 too expensive for what they offer. You do seem to get a lot more for your money with Sony and I think they are about on par with Apple in this specific market for aesthetics.
I have watched about 4 reviews on these and you are the only one to mention the B&O - far superior in everyway and also has Google Assistant. Slightly perplexed as to why nobody wanted to pit them with the B&Os
if you find the usb connector weird.. they might be digital headphones..could you do a comparasion against the old Ath dsr7bt from Audio technica? they were released in 2017 and can be rather cheap priced as refurbished. btw. full digital headphones differs on their decoder they have built in.
Got to try a pair on today and yeah as someone who wears glasses I wouldn't recommend these. They pull in _so_ tight on your temples they are painful after just a few minutes even with quite thin frames 😔 Damn shame as they do sound great and look so nice in person.
