Black River & Western 60: The Ringoes Rambles

- Throughout the month of April, the Black River & Western Railroad operated their 2-8-0 steam locomotive number 60 on several days of Easter excursions. The trips began in Flemington, traveling to Ringoes where an egg hunt for the children took place, and returned back to Flemington. 60 pulled a sizable consist for the trips. The train featured 3 former Central Railroad of New Jersey coaches, an ex. Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad coach, and 2 cabooses originating from the Erie and Wasbash Railroads respectively.
60 still featured its classy 1970s paint scheme that it first wore for a throwback charter in the beginning of April. Additionally, 60 carried an authentic Grand Trunk Western 6 Chime from U-3-b Northern number 6323. So sit back, relax, and enjoy classic Black River & Western steam action on a beautiful Spring day.

@@MPT_Productions you are most welcome!!!
GTW 6323 is on current display at the Illinois Railway Museum as of today!
Well done Mark! Glad to see you out there!
Thanks, Joe! It was a good day indeed
Love seeing more of those Boonton cars running again soon. I feel like the lettering is circa 1985
The paint scheme was first used in 1972 and they have nice coaches indeed.
Great video, Mark! I honestly hope 60 keeps the 70’s paint scheme.
Thanks, Ben! It’ll be on for sure until the 1472 next spring, and I hear the crews like it so it’s quite possible!
Szép videó!😀👍
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed!
