Black River & Western's North Pole Steam in the Snow

- There's something magical about seeing a steam locomotive running in the snow - especially if it's a holiday-themed train. The Black River & Western continued their North Pole Express trains from Flemington, NJ to Ringoes, NJ and return on Saturday, December 9, 2017 - with most trips powered by ALCO steam, 2-8-0 #60. Unlike past North Pole trips this winter, however, the day was a snow-filled one, for the first time this season. The white fluffy stuff, at times, was coming down in droves, and it made for an amazing sight - which I was glad to be there to capture. Enjoy this look at North Pole Steam in the Snow, courtesy of the Black River & Western Railroad!
Looks awesome. My brother lives in New Jersey I hope he checks this out one day.
Very nice. I’m pretty impressed with the garden layout next to active tracks.
Thanks! It's pretty cool, I wish it ran more often.
That is a beautiful shot with the Black River & Western sign. Another great video, keep it up!
Thank you very much!!
Big Jim Video Productions are those coaches steam heated or heat with electricity
That was so cool. With the snow and steam, keep up the good work.
Susan McCloughan Thank you very much!!
Love that steam engine and just watching it going through the snow is more than just amazing
I'm glad you enjoy it!
This video reminds me of yesterday's runs at the Everett Jim the snow in the backdrop makes good background for steam in the snow we had sold out trips all weekend even with it being a Steelers weekend trains were packed and they already have 2018 season planned out can't wait till March to go back and photo and record steam on the Everett merry Christmas Jim
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you too!
Wonderful vid, just love your vids :-))
Thanks a lot!!
Big Jim Video Productions you’re welcome :-))
Epic.
Nice video!
Thank you very much!
very nice video !
Thank you!!
Jersey Proud!.... nice
Beautiful! Can you open the windows in the coaches (If it were Summer)
Absolutely! I pretty much always do...
I Open them when i can because i can stick my camera out the window and take better video/photos
Makes sense! I do it for the breeze in decent weather, and to hear the engine better 😎
I did that when i went to Durango and Silverton, I could hear all the stack talk and whistle at each crossing!
